No franchise no broadcast even grade pupil can understand this.
Unless the government needed abs cbn as essential as possible maybe provisional authority can be granted but the government doesn't need them anymore and the government defines abs cbn as a critic to them by a bias reporting. This is just my opinion and analization about these matter.

To you, ABS-CBN News, may I comment on ur Karlo Katigbak's apology. He said, "We are sorry if we have offended President Duterte". The word "if" connotes that Mr. Karlo was unsure of their shortcoming, when he knew very well and admitted that they had wronged our President, et. al. Therefore, Karlo sounded naive and insincere. HE SHOULD HAVE SAID, "We are sorry (or very sorry) THAT we have offended YOU, our President Duterte". The word "THAT" will mean admission of guilt, and therefore, will sound believable and sincere. In my view, it’s simple logic: the constitution requires mass media to be owned ONLY by Filipinos. The implication of this argument is that mass media in the Philippines CANNOT BE OWNED BY NON-FILIPINOS (check your Philosophy 11-Basic Logic). Even if he proves that he is a Filipino at the time he took over ABS-CBN, he will be disqualified by virtue of the irrefutable fact that he is an American citizen. You only need to ask two questions and rest the case: 1) Does the constitution allow non-Filipinos to own mass media? 2) Are you in fact an American citizen? This line of questioning will serve both the letter and spirit of the law: it is about the intent of not giving non-Filipinos ownership of mass media

Kung may kasalanan ang ABS-CBN bigyan lang ng penalty or suspension. Kasi kung close talaga paano na yung 11,071 employees nila. Sure ba yung mga taong nagsasabi na eh close ang network na mabibigyan ng work sila sa ibang network. Madami na ngang unemployed sa Pilipinas. The network pay their taxes, no record complaint, they provide 25 benefits to their employees(SANA ALL!!! may 25 benefits), they don't implement endo. Putak ng putak yung iba, isipin nyo din ang pamilya ng mga employees nila. Just saying!!!

Boyaks Berlin from what was stated they have debts from banks but not from the government. And having debts or liability is normal, in fact is it essential in the operation of the business. Kasama nga po yun sa accounting equation assets = liabilities + equity. Kung wala silang liability may mali sa pagpapatakbo ng pera. For their taxes naman po the more na hindi sila magbayad mas malaki ang magiging penalty nila. Nabanggit naman po sa hearing na they have paid off all their taxes except for the tax that is not yet due. Kung mayroon man pong may kasalan sa kahirapan it is the government kasi hindi tama yung allocation nila sa perang natatanggap galing sa taxes na binabayad ng mga mamamayan. 3.) yung matatanda na teleserye na lng ang kasiyahan ay malulungkot at mabo-bored
4.) yung mga tao na hindi afford magbayad ng cable ay magtyatyaga uli sa malabong tv na de-antenna sa bubong
5.) mga taong ang hobby ay manood ng abscbn at nabo-bored sa ibang channel, eh mawawalan na ng hobby, baka mapagtripan pa na masamang bisyo na lang ang gawing bagong hobby
6.) maiisip ng mga bata/kabataan na natural lang na gumaganti talaga kapag naki-criticize kasi ang presidente nga ganun eh. so maaaring maging sensitive na ang mga bagong henerasyon.

I'm not for closure. Always an ABS CBN viewer. But last election, totoo naman kasi sa pagkakapanuod ko na di naging fair pagdating sa airing ng mga political ads. Bias ika nga. But it is not enough to shut down the network. They have apologized and i think moving forward, as lessons are learned, things are corrected. I think its not a question wether ABS CBN had provided note worthy services to the Filipino people or had employed 11 thousand people the REAL question here is wetherABS CBN had complied accordingly to the Law. If you searched the term Quo warranto (which is the Issue here) its defined as a test to wether a person or corporation has LEGAL RIGHTS to hold an office and NOT TO EVALUATE the person or corporation's PERFORMANCE in the office.

If indeed there are some violations, is it not proper to call their attention and give them the opportunity to correct themselves rather than imposing the capital punishment right away. What about filing a case in the proper forum to give them the opportunity to defend themselves?
