Originally conceptualized by Lorraine Constantine and Kate Monthy, and reimagined by Kristen Grace - this exciting 1920s-themed show blends the iconic sounds of Duke Ellington’s “Nutcracker Suite” with live vocals, circus arts, dance, and theater.Prepare for a dazzling journey back in time as Tiny Nutcracker and the Land of the Speakeasy returns to Jazzbones for the third year. The night will surely captivate audiences with a unique twist on this beloved classic.
Hosted by Ron Gatsby (House of PatRon, Purple Lemonade), this speakeasy version of The Nutcracker will bring all of your favorite characters to new life on a tiny 5x5 foot stage along with all the grit and glamour of the 1920s. Featuring performances by local artists Josey (Seattle), Mackenzy Isaacson (Z Theory), Pat O’Mahoney (House of PatRon) and Jenna Summerfield Lindberg (Purple Lemonade), Angela Zhou aka. Stardust (Exchange Seattle), Amara Gordon and Amanda Leigh (Zays Baes), Amy Bodnar (Coalesence), Gabby Leiva (Seattle), Cody Gouge and Kristen Grace (Featured vocalists).
With pre and post-show sounds from Dj Kemyst (Kube 93.3, Seahawks) the evening will include a themed raffle, best dressed 1920s costume contest, and signature cocktails reflective of the speakeasy ambiance.
