Yes! I screamed out loud when I saw this. You have to check out their song Water’s Edge. It is such a mood and such a vibe and really highlights this band’s excellent story telling abilities - one of the most under rated American song writers for sure
Underappreciated... underrated my buttocks!!!
One of my absolute favorite songs!
Water's Edge is FIRE
GREAT SONG
"she's wanting me less I'm wanting her more'' What a perfect line that describes a relationship that is falling apart but the man cannot admit it yet !!!
yes, yes, and YES!!!
This came out my freshman year in high school. I rocked out to it daily. Same thing with Silverchair - "Tomorrow". Y'all got a beautiful family.
I LOVED Silverchair and the fact they were so young then ❤
That frogstomp album by silverchair was fire.
I don't know if they have ever reacted to Silverchair. If not, I'm positive they will dig it.
Omg yes Silverchair- tomorrow is a pure 90s gold anthem
I would sing it like every single day on my way home from school (9th grade). Finally may dad was like I must hear this song. He rocked it out like, okay, I get it now.
If you liked this one, you’d love Heavy by Collective Soul ❤️
I really love them! ❤️
@@petercourtien4581me too!
Yes to Collective Soul
You beat me to it. I love that song.
Yea , heavy is a awesome tune.
I have listened to it over and over again, never gets old love it 🤟😎
7 Mary 3 CHiPS call sign, Jon Baker
You still need to check out these 90s acts - Semisonic - f.n.t.; Beck - loser, where it’s at, devil’s haircut, new pollution, lost cause, think I’m in love, saw lightning; Everclear - wonderful, I will buy you a new life, am radio, father of mine; Cake - the distance, never there, I will survive, love you madly, short skirt/long jacket; Dandy warhols - bohemian like you, we used to be friends;
Modest mouse - float on; sister 7 - the only thing that's real
yes! Everclear AM radio is my fav, I forgot about Cake's Long skirt
Yes, have asked for "Loser" before. "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" would be good too, but there are people talking over the song in the video. They seem to get lots of views on the quirky stuff, so we'll see...maybe James "Laid"?
I love Everclear - rocking and thought provoking!
Everclear is a loud yes!
Beck "Loser" I agree. Yes please
Yes! Another favorite from my childhood! Glad you enjoyed guys.. 😁👍❤️
oh man... I was a junior in HS when this came out!
Way to make a guy feel like a dinosaur! 😂😂
I’m so enjoying this nostalgic trip through the 90’s!! Another must listen from that decade is the song Pepper by Butthole Surfers!
I just want to hear them say their name, LOL!
I'll second that, my late GF Sherrie loved it because they say her name right.
Greatest band name ever (Call sign from the show CHiPS). Hit with me as a Gen Xer and mixed some of the 80s energy mixed with the 90s. Gave me some brief hope for music.
Lol. That beautiful interplay of the family reality really made me smile. Enjoyed you powering through to satisfy us fans and your family. Love.
Yep! Seven Mary Three was Officer Jon Baker. Most of the girls were all about Erik Estrada but Larry Wilcox’ shy, lopsided grin and baby blue eyes were waayyyy sexier! 😍
@tammycosby4495 Good for you girl! I always dreamt of a woman who saw past the "flash". Tried to be the reliable other guy. Worked well for me. Hope your discerning eyes have served you well.
Nah....that still goes to five for fighting
@@Woodchuck1965 Five for Fighting is a great name, but it's obviously a hockey reference - and then they go and do a song about Superman instead of hockey. Meanwhile these guys were a nod to us kids of the 70s, so it's more of a musical easter egg that makes us feel "special" for knowing the reference.
BJ minus the Bear takes the best band name trophy.
Hey!!!
I loved the interruptions!! Can do it anytime!!
Hi Meatloaf and Luca!!!
Loved seeing both!!
Luca is so cute!! He’s lost the cute baby face and now he’s gotten the cute little boy face!!Adorable!!!
Miss seeing the family!!!!!!
Water's Edge by Seven Mary Three is a must
Love this song! One of my favorites of the 90s 🤘
Meatloaf! Perfect name for a bulldog! I love it! And Luca! The good crew today! Loved it! Great song and fun surprise guests, good job!
BEST. REACTION. EVAH!!! Yeah, 7 Mary Three is awesome and the song is great. But how awesome is it that you guys are showing us some of your family life while working these reactions for us?? Meatloaf back there holding down the floor like the superhero dog he is...little one not caring what y'all doing, cuz he wants his cartoons!!! This was PERFECT!!! Vote Luka for the CZcams academy awards!!!
What a great driving groove! But what a precious little boy, he is so cute. When I see your little family, I see the beauty of our creator. Amen!
You guys look so happy.
Awesome!!!!!
Oh hell yeah! Seven Mary Three. Love the lead singer's rough raspy voice.
For more bangers, I suggest checking out "My, My" and "Waters Edge"
Family is always first. Never apologize for being great parents who have their priorities right. I first heard this song at 15 and it is still top 25 songs all time for me.
I haven’t heard this song in 20 years and I still know all the words! This song is awesome!
This is my favorite one so far, I'm loving the interruptions.😊 you never need to apologize for babies or puppers.
That whole album is fire! One of few albums I can listen to straight through
Brother Cane is another great band from the 90s! "Got No Shame" and "And Fools Shine On" are 🔥
This is a good one. Love the raspy vocals, and the angst just pours out in this song. Still hoping for Don Felder's "Heavy Metal".
Yeah, man! This GD song was so underrated in the charts. Actually loved the interruptions. Real. Human.
“There is a balance between two worlds. One with an arrow and a cross.”
This is a very eloquent line, describing the complexities involved in a man and a woman sharing the same house. Or even the same planet.
What a lovely family. You have been blessed. Rock On ❤
Another good 90's band called Days Of The New are really good!! Check out the song (Touch Peel and Stand) or (The Shelf In The Room) !!!🔥
Touch Peel and Stand - Yes!
Not to be that guy but it’s so depressing how pop music back then was so astronomically better than now
Don't stop being that guy. You speak the truth.
Well, this particular song wasn't pop, it's alternative rock. But yeah, it's still true what you said.
This is definitely not pop
Well going against Nirvana,Foo Fighters,Green Day, Offspring, and Bush
Nothing comes close to one of those bands. All bands are nostalgic in the 90's.Semi Sonic,Wallflowers god I can go on and on.As a teen in the 90's amazing years
No please, BE THAT GUY. You’re 1000% correct sir. I 🫡 you
Luca is so stinking cute!!! As a father myself, I get it. As the old saying goes “life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.” You can’t predict it, just go with it. Love your reactions and watch them with my daughter all the time. Keep it up!!!
One of the things to know about being a teen or young adult in the 90s - the live music scene. Because 90s grunge and rock went back to more traditional instruments, a lot of these songs could be played easily by even a three-piece rock band. There would be chains of bars up and down the streets with live bands at all of them who were playing these songs almost perfectly. It was definitely an unforgettable vibe :)
"She remembers bridges...burns them to the ground"! What a great line!
Love this one! A couple other suggestions are Smashing Pumpkins "Cherub Rock" and Steve Earle "Copperhead Road".
Love this group ... reminds me of my late brother ... 🖤🥰💙🎶☮️
A couple of other mid-late 90s suggestions that you will probably love - "Possum Kingdom" by the Toadies and "Got You Where I Want You" by the Flys. I can see you two rocking out to both of them. And you've got to get back to Nirvana at some point! Y'all have barely scratched the surface with them.
(Edit to add: "Super Bon Bon" by Soul Coughing. That bassline and chorus will be stuck in your heads for days.)
Great picks
Super Bon Bon! OMG I haven’t heard that in ages. Great song.
@@markhagerman1837 I've listened to it like five times since I made this request. 😆 That bassline is really something else!
Possum Kingdom!!! Hell yes!
That's a amazing tune ..possum Kingdom !!!
7 Mary 3 - fun story on the band’s name. Back in the day, there was a police show called CHiPs - which followed two California Highway Patrol officers. Jon Baker (played by Larry Wilcox) was “7 Mary 3” over the police radio. Ponch (Erik Estrada, a heartthrob at the time) was 7 Mary 4.
7 designates the patrol beat, M for Mary designates that he is a motorcycle unit and 3 is his unit number
@@GingerMafiaa I vaguely remember 7 Mary 6 & 7 later in the series … was that after Baker left the show and was replaced by, I think, his brother Bobby?
For a great set of songs from the 90s, check out the band Tonic: "If You Could Only See", "Casual Affair", "Mountain"
Thank you for playing my recommendation! You both are the best! Maybe I'll see more 😉 Thank you for bringing light into this world.
Haven't heard that song in almost thirty years. So cool you rocked out to this and I've never seen a reaction video wrap up so fast lol! Keep up the good work, and give my hellos to Luca, Meaty and the rest of the fam! :)
"Bullet with Butterfly Wings",
The Smashing Pumpkins
(one it's many awards include best hard rock performances...)
One of my all time favourites and 1 of the most underated songs from this era.
90's rock - Matthew Sweet "Girlfriend" - there is no doubt you will love it
I remember in my freshmen dorm, the dude in the room next door used to play this song on repeat.
Great song! And if you need more 90s bangers, PLEASE check out an often overlooked band, one of my faves, OUR LADY PEACE. Superman's Dead is awesome, as is Automatic Flowers. Be aware that the lead singer has an unusual voice but with and open mind, hopefully you will love them too. I've been hoping to get your reaction for a long time and I'll keep mentioning it. Gotta have hope! Have a great day, Jay & Amber and I hope your daughter enjoyed her dance convention!
Seconding Superman's Dead
I gave that album a chance because the album cover looked like it was a good rock album lol. Same deal with Oleander’s February Son.
I don't think you've done "Toad the wet sprocket" yet, their song "All I want" is a favorite of mine. A 90's staple !
Pretty much everything off Dulcinea is great.
Toad the wet sprocket has so many good ones. I love ‘Whatever I Fear’ and ‘Desire’.
90's Songs
Smashing Pumpkins -Bullet with Butterfly Wings -1995

Pepper, omg I love that!
@@eurofritz4617 I will! Love that song! Thanks!
The waters edge by these guys is amazing ...always in my Play list
WOW! Thanks guys for playing this song. it's from the album American Standard and it became my go to album for through some rough times in my life. It resonated a lot with some of my own struggles at the times. I strongly suggest that you give the album a full listen. It's a hidden gem of the 90's.
Love the Luca cameo!
American Standard was such a great album. Every song was a banger. One of those albums you let play over and over!
Hello Pearl Jam is the biggest band from the 90s. You need to do more of them
Meatloaf is sooo cute and I love that he's named after an artist you found on your music journey! And Luca/Spiderman, tooooo cute! Adorable interuptions, no apologies necessary.
Cherub rock is a great entry level song for the Smashing Pumpkins
This one was always a crowd favorite when we covered it back in the day.......loved it. great reaction as always .
Another really great one from them is “Water’s Edge”, it’s like listening to a crime story! Think you’ll really like it🤓
Such an underrated band. My favorite song by them is called Lucky (Do this one next!😊) or even Waters Edge. And if you liked this you need to try Sister Hazrel, Toad the Wet sprocket, Silverchair, O.A.R. Tonic or The Toadies. So many great 90s bands.
Damn. Y'all bringing that nostalgia.🤘🔥🤘❤️🫂
Over Your Shoulder, The Waters Edge, and Each Little Mystery, are my favorites by Seven Mary Three..❤❤
Another 90's band that rocked hard is Brother Cane. You should try their song "Got No Shame." It has harmonica, cowbell, and tons of guitar.
LOVE LOVE this song! 90’s rock is amazing ❤
You need to checkout the Toadies, they had 3 great hits, Possum Kingdom, Backslider and Tyler. They are a great 90s band from North Texas.
This is one of the songs on my workout playlist. So good!
Thank you so much for this reaction!!!!! Love love love this band!
I had forgotten how good this song was. As soon as the song started I realized I knew all the lyrics.😅
I'm a classic rock and roller,,,,,this is a GREAT song. 💥💥💥👍😎
They could have released this track in 1971 and had a major hit. ✌️
@@andymageen5308
Very true.
The Rock Spirit is timeless.
Collective Soul 90s "Heavy" or "She Said"
My goodness, little Spidey is a chip off the old block. He’s a cutie!
In 1992, I had just relocated out of my home town in VA to Orlando, FL and this music shaped my new life in a new place. It was a whole new level of freedom. I love this song.
One of those 90's bangers that you turn up to 11 every time it comes on the radio. I really miss this era of rock.
The appearances of your son and your dog were too cute! It's a nice distraction from everything that's happening in the world right now. Spider Mini and Meat Loaf, your Make Somebody Smile mission is accomplished!! 😉
Love this band. Still one I listen to today. I used to play their first album on repeat. Water's Edge, Rodrigo, My My, and Punch In Punch Out were all high up on my playlist with Cumbersome, too. Punch In Punch Out is very different as it's just singing and drums.
This is an indelible classic. So glad all these great 90's songs are winning Jay over. And don't worry about Meatloaf and Luca. They just amped up the cuteness factor.
7 Mary 3 was from the old late 70s early 80s motorcycle cop show CHiPs It was ponch and John’s call officer call-in.
Silverchair Tomorrow is another absolute banger!!!!
Omg!!!!!!!YES!!! Mid-90s CLASSIC!. Good choice Jay&Amber..I love meatloaf he is sooooo cute 😍 and oh yes beyond too many great hits from the 90s...Rock Pop Hip Hop..and Dance music
I’ve seen these guys 4 times live at small venues. They are really good live and sound even better. Good music.
Yall just upped your ratings. Yall got a handsome little Spider-Man.
This band used to play all the time at a bar I lived next too. I don't know how many times I saw them but they were great every time I saw them. Kickass band with some great tunes.
I had a cassette single of this song. It was this version on one side and an acoustic version on the other side. I used to play it over and over again, alternating sides. Just kept flipping. I freaking loved this song. Still do.
I Love seeing you guys in your family setting.....I LOVE IT!!!! Great Reaction!!! The boy is growing up so fast....making me feel ancient!!!! Hahahaha...lol....hahaaha
Please please please more interruptions like these 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻😂❤️
Also… more Guns N’ Roses 🤘🏻
Amber still hasn’t reacted to November Rain or you could also do one of their more deep cuts like Yesterdays, Dead Horse, Coma… ✌🏻
I agree with November Rain, but I’ve gotta put Civil War at the top of the “next new song” list. We can use some good anti-war music these days….
We always have time for Spiderman to interrupt us.
This took me right back to 8th grade. Haven't heard it in years but somehow I knew every word lol. Forgot how good it was!
Another band you guys should check out is Sponge ("Molly" or "Plowed"). I saw them live with Seven Mary Three back in the day.
Love this song from my Childhood. I love your kid jumping in there it reminds me of my house. ❤
Love it, love you sharing life with us all. Thank you for showing people rock n roll who might have never heard it before.
They got their name from old TV series, “Chips”. Call sign of Ofc John Baker!
Great song & reaction! Others have said it but “Water’s Edge” is an awesome and intense song. Highly recommend!
That was the quickest exit I have ever seen Jay do 🤣 I think he is now going to switch carrers to an auctioneer
I caught so much hell in school for listening to 7 Mary 3. They are a good band and underrated as hell.
I know this from the 90's. But it was on my play list over seas! My list always pumped me up for what ever lye, ahead! My opion. Best band in the 90's!!❤❤❤
What a sweet pup🐶
Those weren’t interruptions they were Guest Appearances!!! ❤
I know you did Mary Chapin Carpenter about a year ago. I'd love to hear some more. There was a live performance of her singing He Thinks He'll Keep Her with Pam Tillis, Tricia Yearwood, Emmy Lou Harris, Kathy Matea and more singing back up. Great song based on a sexist commercial! Such a huge catalog! I Feel Lucky, Shut Up and Kiss Me, Stones in the Road. Sooo many great songs.
Love the interruptions!! Awww grunge rock is the best!
This a highly underrated song. Only because this decade was filled with this type of music
I remember my sons, about that age, when my wife and I were rocking out while cleaning the house. Now they keep diving into our music collection.
Your awesome kids will have the BEST taste in music! Oh, yes they will !!
Now I will be listening to SM3 all day. Great reminder of the 90's when I got hooked on many of my daughter's favorite musicians. You should do Veruca Salt and Filter.
Love Seven Mary Three! Got to see them three different times at Floyd's in Tallahassee starting as a freshman in college and after. Great band in a small venue that was perfect. Great memories and great music.
yes love me some rock from the 90s brings back memories to me that was my high school days great song. Now that's some real RSR Family love love it.meat loaf and the little ones lol ya ll just need some head phones for him Let the whole RSR family rock out to some tunes I want his opinion also.or his taste in music lol. Much love and respect RSR family you guys always make me smile.
great song. I remember this playing on the radio when i was a kid. love seeing lou he's the cutest little boy ever. My 6 yr old daughter loves spiderman too.
I am immediately transported to the year I was 18, road tripping across the MN border to Amery, WI and this was played on loop the entire trip. Thank you for this one!
