- He’s a master of whacky characters and being a total chameleon on screen - over the years Johnny Depp has made a brilliant career of embodying roles that seem out of this world and has given some legendary performances.
Physically, Depp has undergone plenty of painful transformations to do everything from existing in Wonderland as the Mad Hatter, to roughing it on the seas during all the time he’s spent filming Pirates of the Caribbean as Jack Sparrow. The actor looked unrecognizable when he lived in the land of endless candy - and his particular voice was one of the most jarring aspects of the transformation!
Johnny Depp’s time in the wizarding world saw the actor committing very intensely to it - he fully cut and dyed his hair just for the part - but immediately after he finished filming, the actor had his hair color updated again before even leaving the set.
While Johnny Depp is known mainly as an actor - he has had his turn in singing roles - most notably, he took on the incredibly vocally-challenging role of Sweeney Todd in the musical of the same name. His physical transformation required hours in the makeup chair, but his vocal transformation took hours working with a singing teacher in a studio before ever arriving to set!
On his way to becoming a globally-recognized star, Depp established iconic roles through wickedly painful transformations - like the terrifying Edward Scissorhands. Depp did visit the vampire genre later in their career in the film Dark Shadows, which saw plenty of vampire-like makeup and prosthetics involved.
No matter what was required, Depp never failed to rise to the challenge when it came to bringing these characters to life.

Johnny is one of the few actors that always puts his all in his work. I think that’s what makes him so lovable and definitely one of the best to ever do it 👏🏽
He truly is the underappreciated actor of our time. He can do just about anything. And the fact that he goes through all this and nobody on set has anything bad to say about him speaks volumes as to his character as a person.
He's literally the most dedicated actor in all of history if you ask me. He literally wants to embody each chara in such a personal way that he insists on being a part of the magical transformation process like no one else.
I know he isn’t an angel, but god I hope this man gets the justice he deserves. Love you Johnny ❤️

He's not the perfect angel because he is human and has human flaws, but he comes pretty darn close to an angel (especially when visiting the kids at the hospital dressed as Jack Sparrow).
Seeing him as Grindelwald just makes me sad that that witch Amber ruined it for him. It was unfair and I haven’t been able to watch the other movies after because I can’t stand the injustice. I hope he wins his case, Amber needs to pay for her actions.
Johnny depp also did things. I am not defending amber but he also did things too.
@@armiyaaneel9898 The case isn't about drinking or drug use. The case is about the claims she made about him being violent. No one expects Depp to be some innocent puppy, we know he's had substance abuse issues (so has she, by the way) but this is about her lying about him abusing her. The evidence so far shows that she was the abuser, not him. It's no wonder he turned to drink and drugs when she was beating him.

Johnny Depp has been my childhood hero since Pirates of the Caribbean I was 11 and now 29... I think I watched that movie over 50 times. Versatile and so professional.... and dearly loved as an actor and as a person that he is #justiceforjohnnydepp ❤️

What is wrong with disney?I watched the movie and his acting is amazing.He really put a lot of effort into his character.But now it's sad that he won't work with Disney ever again to produce another pirates of the carribean movie.
yeah i like him as an actor but I've always adored him as a human. the moment i found out he spent his free time with sick kids in hospitals back in 2006 I've loved him since.
He also forked out 60k of his own money to buy the entire crew of pirates of the Caribbean waterproof jackets to keep everyone warm and comfortable after Disney flat out refused
I knew that about him a few years ago, and he apparently still does it (or at least he was until recently). This case has also revealed other lovely aspects about him, such as hiring people he enjoyed being around, giving people use of his property rent free, helping artists reach an audience, inviting random people to his gigs with the band... It seems everyone who encounters him has a positive experience and describes a thoughtful, gentle, kind person, Amber Heard is the only one who who claims otherwise.

Johnny Depp is an INCREDIBLE actor. He always pulls of the most whacky and interesting characters with ease and you can tell he adds a tad of his own personality into them.
Out of the many actors I know, Johnny is one who truly embodies the characters he plays. I didn't realize he played the wolf in, into the woods.

It’s Johnny Depp. He absolutely will. His creative costumes and characters are wonderful but my favourite movie is still “What’s eating Gilbert Grape”. The bond he and DiCaprio shared on that set brought me to tears

You can see how much work and things he had to go through until one person who didnt really know what he went through to earn his money to just destroy all that because that's what she was out to do !

He also had special lenses in his eye's as Captain Jack Sparrow. Some kind of sunglasses lenses. So he could look towards the sun and not be bothered while filming.
Not just because of the sun, Johnny is also blind in one eye. Its the reason he wears tinted glasses most of the time
