Buy the blouse, Cara - you are worth it and you'll struggle to replicate it because it's so hard to find the right broderie anglaise. And so much sympathy for the loss of your furry companion.😢❤

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful Lara. They stay with us as long as they can, but it's never enough.
P&M Mome blouse has ruffled collar and sleeve cuffs. It's pullover with a zip or loop and button back, but they offer a free hack on their website to turn it into a button front.
I just recently bought some McKee Re-embroidered Stretch Lace from Mood with no idea what to make from it - I might try this!

What a beauuuuutiful jacket, Cara ! You’ve done a gorgeous job and you’re very inspiring and encouraging ❤. I loved the Chanel exhibition too. Re the Sézane blouse you coveted, it’s the price per wear that counts and you can tell immediately that it fits and suits you. If you’re still longing for it, maybe you could get it for a special occasion or as a present to be held back till a suitable moment? Buy it or dismiss it but don’t agonise- too many other things matter more 😉🤩❤️

That was so interesting. I really enjoyed all the elements and your jacket is a thing of beauty. As for Lara, it will be raw for some time to come you just need time to process the loss. I lost my beautiful dog nine months ago. It took me weeks to be less tearful, and I couldn't even look at photos of him. You just have to go with it.

I was at the Chanel exhibition recently too. It was amazing, the fine stitching and details on those beautiful fine fabrics was exquisite. I particularly loved the 20’s to 40’s era, the dresses were made to look so simple but close inspection showed otherwise. I found her life story so interesting too - what a woman she was! x

Buy the blouse. You understand fabric and construction. Honor the expertise. You know it’s worth the money. If it fits, buy it. Then make the pants and jacket out of wonderful fabric to accompany it.

I knew you would finish making the Metropolis jacket in time to wear it to the Chanel Exhibition. It’s absolutely marvelous and you look fabulous wearing it. Hi Cara... My suggestions for a sezane look alike ruffled blouse are: Liesl & Co Fitzroy blouse (read their article as nearing the end they suggest it lends itself to adding a ruffle neckline) or the Anastasia blouse (a free download pattern of which I've made X2 and love them) 🏵️

wondrous jacket, what a triumph. very impressive. I was looking at exactly the same two blouses on the Sezane website. I have been drooling over the clothes since Kate did a vlog in the edit on the fold line. Also I was remembering that beautiful lace fabric at Maison Fauve of which I was also sent a sample. I haven't ordered it yet but I am also on the search for a suitable pattern. I think that this sort of fabric and style is very up to date and will be quite fashionable this year. It will be so wearable. Can't wait to see your plans going forward. Thanks for sharing your inspirational trip and you infectious positive energy.

Cara. You have made a wonderful job of your Chanel jacket and you should be proud of the workmanship. I am impressed with the pattern matching but even more so with the insertion and placement of shoulder pads which can make or break a garment. Good job!

Very enjoyable vlog, thanks Cara. You truly inspire me, I’ve been dressmaking since the 1970s but never especially difficult makes - but this afternoon I’ve finally got round to cutting out the maison fauve tremplin trousers after your vlog a while back about them. I’ve also made the salto top which is lovely.

Buy the sezanne blouse! Treat yourself. The fabric will be hard to replicate. It is beautiful on you!

The Chanel style jacket is beautiful, well done! For the Sezane frill neck blouse, you could try the Tiana's closet Fatima - it's a frill neck button front mini dress, but could easily be shortened to make a blouse, it has short puff sleeve so you would modify them. Or there is the Marjorelle by Itch to stitch.

Hi Cara, Itch to Stitch has the Majorelle shirt which has a collar frill, unfortunately it has raglan sleeves. They also have the Bonn Shirt which you could add a ruffle to. Just a couple of suggestions. Your jacket is beautiful and fits so well as always. Happy sewing.🧵🪡🇦🇺

I've been looking, for several years, to replicate a very similar broderie anglaise blouse that I grew out of. It's not been the pattern that's been the problem but finding the right broderie anglaise - I just couldn't find one that was right. I've finally solved the issue by losing two and a half stone! 😂

For the Chloe blouse, the Wendy blouse by sophie denys is almost identical. The instructions do not come in engligh though but I'm sure you can use google translate.

I bet there were ladiesnon the street wondering where you bought your jacket and what designer. It is so beautiful! I went on a little search for a blouse pattern. I know a couple of years ago Butterick had a similar blouse paired with overalls. It must be out-of print, of course It It, I want that pattern. I did find a blouse on a site called Angela Kane. The pattern is # 545 and called the semi fitted shirt with frill. Not sure if it would work or not.

Beautiful jacket! I have just been to the website and can’t see enough detail about the sizing although there are some examples of finished measurements for a couple of sizes. It gives an arm measurement but isn’t specific. Do you have any more information on the sizing?
Thank you for your kind words. On the website are details of sizing from 6 to 24. I'm viewing it on my phone and I need to scroll across to see all the details, The range of measurements is extensive. These are also in the pattern booklets, so lots of lovely details for you. It's an amazing pattern
