100%. With new windows 11 snip it feature, thinking to continue my license for snag it or not.. installed 2024, didn't find anything fancy. In corporate world - no one cares for new smileys. Need better options to easily create tutorials, documents, etc.
@@Alex-Johnson7 For me, SnagIt in general offers great value now that I can upload temporarily to the cloud, and also the grab text feature and several other things. The fact that the licences are perpetual is great. I would cancel if they moved to monthly or annual subscription pricing.

*This video is an exact match for TechSmith Snagit Maintenance: Lots of dust and no real content.* It's pretty a shame. For longer than a decade, TechSmith has been selling peanuts for big bucks. They offer "new, great features", but in fact, they are usually not with the advertising. TechSmith ignores the old, very annoying usability problems: • TechSmith obviously hate disabled peoples because many functions are still not operable via keyboard. • And the SnagIt library is a big shame, too: just work with it for 30 seconds and you're annoyed by 3 basic functions that have been missing for about a decade.

Hey Snags, this is the One program on my PC that my Daily Work can not live without. I tried others in the past years, but I always come back to Snagit, because of it's Features, Flexibility, Speed, Customization and I use it multiple times a day, without exaggeration. No matter what Design, Marketing or Content Project I'm working on, whether it's for a Website, Print, Online, Social Media, the Snagit & Editor Tools are always part of the project. I am unable to locate capture widget in Snagit 2024 at top of screen as in previous versions. Will have to try and contact support I guess unless someone knows better (please?)
I would first check in Snagit's preferences to make sure the widget is enabled, it could have been switched off when you upgraded. www.techsmith.com/learn/tutorials/snagit/preferences/#general
