People who run at this level will NEVER not be a huge inspiration to me. Especially since I've struggled to get good at running basically my whole life. Cheers mate!
🙏 Thanks so much man! That struggle that accompanies us throughout our lives is what makes our lives meaningful.
What's your PR mile Radio? Mine is 5:56 sub 6. I never imagined getting that but I'm working up, and this guy is an inspiración
Nice job at not really but really using negatives in your statement. Verbal diarrhea
No offense to the runner, but 4:17 isn't impressive. I've done it left handed (normally right handed) at 4:08. Right handed I'll usually break 4 minutes.
Like I said, no offense and respect to the runner. Maybe he was just going light.
@@oldmanballs787 OK "Show off"
I felt that "Why am I running out of juice now?!" in my soul. Great job gentlemen!
haha, tough workout
Me after 100 meters.
Me after the first stride
Luis just got more verbal encouragement in 4 minutes than most men get in their adult lives. Beautiful to see!
haha right!!
@@ortaluis too much ego bro
@@waiata216this reply and comment were both jokes, and he definitely deserves a large ego being able to run such fast paces 😂
???
@@waiata216
The tall guy that's running it's like he's just floating on air just flying I really like the way he runs!
🙏🙏
I remember i lived in Colorado for three months and i used to train at this track, what makes this more impressive is that he’s running this fast at a high elevation, at sea level he’d probably go faster
Respect to the cameraman who ran this incredible pace while holding the cam
He was on a bike xD
@@ortaluishater
@@ortaluislol no wonder
Backwards and sideways too, he's in good fitness
No he was running backwards. I saw him!
If after 20 years you still have that feeling, you definitely did god choosing running and following this path as Athlete. Congrats!!!
I'll never regret it for sure 😃
And he cant even keep his own pace ?
Those two is willing to helps in way they also had their speed training. Even world champs has pacers in their speed training.
@@syah132 Point being...... should need a pacer !
It’s difficult to gauge speed with camera angles, but the foot cadence sound translated perfectly. 🚀
People don’t understand how impressive this actually is Great work 💪🏼
I ran very competitively in high school with my best mile time being a 4:35. For anyone who doesn't run, just know that hundreds of hours and thousands and thousands of miles go into running at this level. I remember biking to school every day at 5:30am to run 4 miles with my guys before showering and going to class, then getting out of school to run and train for 3-4 more hours. Waking up at 6:00 all summer and a lot of times running close to a marathon in a day when you add in afternoon practice. Kudos to you Luis! Such an impressive time congrats.
How long ago was this?
Bloody hell! Wow. That's insane pace. Luis is extremely fit. Well done. I would only be able to this pace for less than a minute 😄 🤣
hahahah thanks! It was tough but we got it done
I just discovered your channel and am loving all the videos. There's no substitute for an outdoor run out in the wild under your own power, or the feeling of camaraderie you get when you're grinding it out on the trails with your running group. You and Nate Castner do an amazing job at capturing the primal feelings of it all.
Thanks for coming along Julio. We love what we do and we hope it inspires you 🙏
Ive ran at mile high (Denver and Albuquerque) quite a bit, and I've run at sea level quite a bit. Most people don't understand how much that makes a difference. VERY impressive mile time for anyone, but especially for that altitude.
Thanks Isaac! Yeah, it's definitely a lot harder
Mind blowing. Those people on the track don’t even realize the excellence they just witnessed right next to them.
4:17 !!! It’s like you sprinted the whole way. I’m mind blown. Great stuff man
Yes they understand fully well how amazing this was
Lol they was cheering him on idk what you’re talking about
Awesome job with the run and awesome job to the pacers as well! The quality in these videos are consistently going up and up!
So great to hear! Nate is amazing 🙏
That's incredible. Awesome work and thanks for sharing your experience. Best of luck at your 5k race!!
Thank you Eric, all the best!
I find your training so inspiring! As a 53 year old runner and coach myself, I learn so much from you that I can pass on to my clients! Keep pushing Luis!
That is awesome! Thank you for following 🙏
Really visually pleasing and your form and stride frequency look on point!
That was the easiest looking, hardest thing to do. Well done hermano.
🤣 Thanks! 🙏
I'm A CAP cadet and one of the eventual goals are to run a 5:00 mile. This video just gave me a ton of inspiration to hopefully reach that goal some day. Thank you!
So happy to hear that, Thank you my friend! Keep that goal in mind and you'll achieve it!
Bro 4:17 is Nuts ! My fastest in high school was 4:54 good shit ! @simplicity711 You’ll get there man keep pushing yourself.
@@bitcoinforex6963Thanks man! I appreciate it! :3
I don’t understand how you just keep going at that pace. Makes my lungs hurt just watching!
Man this video how it was shot is sooo dope ! Love to see this level of dedication to your sport
Thanks! Nate is a video wizard 💪💪💪
Feels incredible to watch.
Luis that was great .thank you for this content and the effort man . Wish i lived a bit closer
Luis you’re insane. I love watching your videos
Thanks so much 😃
Buen video, esta chévere el detalle del cronómetro en la esquina.
Wow awesome! I've just started running and im pleased with a 10:30 mile 😂
so true man. we'll get there someday.
im at 6:36, my goal is 6:00
Don’t be pleased with anything no matter how fast or slow or how good anything is, strive for greater heights and become a legend. Stay hard
@@Gabriel_JudgeofHellI started at 6:36 my first meet three years ago. I finished track at state with a time of 4:44 after 2 and a half years. You got that. Shoot for 5:30. I ran 5:48 during my first season at region.
I run around 7 minutes for marathon pace. I’ve only been running three years. You got this man! I started a 6:36 though, but you’ll get to a 4 minute mile eventually. That took me two years.
I'm 14 and I run 800m, my pb is 2:05 and seeing you hold up a really similar pace for 2 more laps is mad impressive. Really liked this type of video, idk why but the style of it was enjoyable!
Thanks so much, glad you like it 😃
Pretty fast for a 14 year old. If that is really is your pb then your looking to get d1 offers if you progressively drop your times until your senior year of high school .
Amazing time. I think you could bag the kilometer in under 2:45 if you go for it!
@@eternalnjemthat’s what I’m thinking bc 2:05 is varsity level easily
I'm 14 but my fastest is 3:18
Not meant to compare, but imagine Kipchoge running with this pace (a bit lower) for 26 miles. Insane! Good job, Luis!
I know, he's the king!
No he doesn’t
@@kevin.clancy yes, he does. For the ineos sub 2, he ran just under 2:50per km, or 4:34.25 per mile, for 26.2 mile.
@@na-dk9vm well 17 seconds per mile isnt exactly a minor difference, over the course of a marathon that adds up to more than 7 minutes
@@agenthoini I know, it's amazingly fast, I never disagreed.
That’s incredible. You’re an amazing runner.
Bro!!! Brutal! Yo empeze hace poco nunca he corrido en mi vida. pase de 30 minutos por milla hace 14 por milla hoy voy por 13 de la mano de dios. Gracias por el video ayuda muchisimo!!! that 5k race is yours bro you got this!!!

Love your channel and the Kenyan series excellent production especially with last one with Paul Chalimo follow you both and Sage Canaday Athletes special and both girlfriends lol . Solid content bro looking forward to seeing more
Amazing to watch, thanks for that experience
That was awesome! Great job to everyone! Awesome Team!
Amazing work!! Good luck on your race!
Thank you🙏
I could barely break 6 mins in hs for the mile. I was always so slow. But at this point, my VO2 max has dipped down to about 7:30 pace. I’ve been getting into long distance/marathon endurance training this past year, working on slow running base building, . But this video takes me back to h.s track days and motivates me to go work on speed again. Which will def also help with the half / full marathon stuff down the road.
Nice! I'm very happy to hear that! Good luck with your training! ❤️🏃♂️
Dang that's wild! I just got into running, training for my sprint triathlon. I did my fastest ever 5k (and first ones ever while training for the triathlon) at 24:14. Started at 39!! I've never even had a max mile pace at below 5:50s!
I love that running form, very satisfying to watch lol
thank you so much!
Te va a ir genial en la próxima carrera Luis, estás muy fuerte y se nota! esperamos el video de ese 5k, mucho éxito 💪💪
Gracias hermano 🙏
Chingon, que día bonito en Boulder. Excelente vídeo como siempre 🏃🏻♂️🤜🏻🤛🏻
Gracias hermano🙏
Beautiful scenery I've enjoyed this video😽😻
I hope you know how incredible this was to watch. 4:17 is so fast! Good job! I’m still trying to get a sub 6.
Thank you, it was tough! 🙏
Same
Mis respetos hermano! Really great job!
Excellent work Luis 👏🏾👏🏾👊🏾
Thank you 🙌
Good luck for your race Luis 💪
The best mile I have ever ran (on a treadmill) was 8:53. I can't imagine getting lapped twice by you lol. Great job!
Hello Luis,
I was wondering if you could do some videos about fundamentals in running? Examples could be your day of a planned workout with insight view of your nutrition through the day, pre-workout nutrition, warm up routine, cooldown routine, post-workout routine as stretching/foamrolling and the day after recovery run. Great to follow your Kenya series!
Thanks for the ideas! We've been talking about it for a while but it's been hard to plan it with so much travelling. We will get to it for sure 🙏
Your welcomed to come visit Gallup NM (6,400 ft elevation). Lots of great trail running around Navajo Nation!
I wish you good luck for your race 🏁 👍
I dont know why I find so much joy in watching someone running fast, but I do.
Great Run, Luis. Do you find yourself regularly with a tight lower back? You have pronounced anterior pelvic tilt. I had the same issue and now doing corrective exercises. All the best.
I know, I've always had it like that :/
I noticed that I was wondering if it was something that was noticeable. Hopefully you get it corrected.
why do you have a scroll bar under your comment ?
Just curious, what is your usual training schedule for the week?
(currently i’m trying to break a 5 minute mile before track starts this year.)
Chamo!! Que bien es verte correr con ese nivel, sigue así! Verás que te irá bien la carrera! Éxito
Gracias siii eso espero!
Wow ... incredible. Keep at it mate !!! I got chills since you killed it ... well deserved sir
Thanks so much, it means a lot! 🙏
Incredible video and athlete. Keep up the hard work and training. WOW!! Much respect for all the track and field athletes and cross-country runners. My best time was 7:10 for 1.5 miles in the Academy.
Much appreciated! 🙏🏃♂️

Geeeeeez. You’re insane Luis.
Simply amazing.
I wish my local track had mountains/hills in the backdrop. very nice.
Boulder is amazing for that, we can't complain!
I need a community like this 😢
I was so engrossed with this I burnt my toast. Worth it.
hahaha love it
That was fast. Congratulations. I hope you did well in the 5000 meter race.
🙏🙏🙏
At my best, standing at 6'1 205lbs, I could run a 6:30 for 3 miles without stopping. After mile 3 it would slow to about a 7:10-7:30 till about mile 5, then I would clean up 1 or 2 more at an 8 mph pace. I could never get under 6:30 no matter how hard I tried. You two made this look effortlessly and both have beautiful/ perfect form. While I don't run like that anymore (sucks getting old) it's a big inspiration . You guys are beasts, finely tuned machines.
Hello luis how many times do you train per day and what training are they? Greetings, your content is very good
Ok that’s actually really impressive
Man! So fast. Respect.
Thanks!

My shortest time is 5:15, it is due to some difficulties we are facing, we have not any proper ground to run over etc.
Be proud of yourself man
