- Today I show you how to install/upgrade your side markers to DEPO JDM Smoked side markers. Its a simple and cheap upgrade for your 10th gen Honda Civic. My particular car is a 2021 Honda Civic Hatchback EX model.
The DEPO has great fitment and OEM look I was looking for :)

Good time to add a dab of bulb grease too. Or electrical grease. Anytime I remove a bulb, or a connector I add a little grease. I want the depo clears for my 19 coupe ex-t . Most of the world got clear, we get amber lol. Love the color choice of your car btw. I was limited since I wanted a coupe, and only a coupe. The only one honda had was in lunar silver. Silver has always been a top color choice for me anyway, so I was happy.
I just replaced mine and was surprised how easy it was following this. Though mine seem kinda bright and they’re white LED so I’m a little nervous about being pulled over. Based on CA.

its kinda funny, here in Indonesia, we got clear side marker from the factory, and alot of people change it with orange

Just got some new side markers for my 10th gen civic and they came with wires coming out of them and look different from yours. I’m not experienced at all with modding cars or with wires so I’m a little nervous to try to install them by myself any idea what the wires would be? It also didn’t come with any new bulbs.

For some reason I cannot pull the bulb out of the socket to replace with the new LED one. I already shattered one of them trying to put it out, so I guess I will need to replace the whole socket ?

Actually DEPO Brand it's not that bad the OEM Honda charge you triple that price for what for Honda logo on it !

Excuse me, are they supposed to blink? I just changed mine because i lost the acrilic glass on both sides , changed the bulb too ( no led) and now i notice for the first time that they are.. fixed? They don’t blink with the turn signal? Is it normal or i smashed something😂 thank you if you could answer!

@@glenndayz5865 Are you talking about the light bulbs or the side markers? I went to check mine out just now and the side markers has a little wiggle to it, but doesn't feel like it fall off, the bulbs are in tight.
When you pushed the new side markers in, did you hear the snap sound when the clips went in?
@@SpendingJar yes, i heard the clicking sound, but still there's the wiggle you mention on the side marker on the right, the lights are tight. i guess the right side marker will wiggle but won't fall off. the driver side marker is perfectly placed. again, thank you for taking the time to reply! keep up the amazing vids.

The top screw doesn’t like to go back in bottom was no problem is that normal ?
Hi, top screw? You mean the tabs that inserts in? I didn't have any screws that I undid.
I popped tabs out and in, and moved the fender liner out a bit for the install. I had no issues installing and its still holding up good. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍

Hi, it came with 2 side markers in the same box. One for the driver side and one for the passenger side.
I cant remove my sidemarkers. No matter how much I pressed the tab. Broke the whole thing
@SpendingJar is this DRL only, Turn Signal only, or both? Full function wasn't clarified :(
Hi! I switched out the orange for smoked side markers (more for looks). Function hasn't changed, just the color. Its not DRL or turn signal, it only comes on when I turn on my lights, oem function.
There are other aftermarket side markers that has turn signal function if you are looking for them. Hope this help 👍

Awesome video! Definitely subbing! I had gotten these same ones and noticed my 2020 si would randomly have no power issues. I would need to play with my auto and side marker nob to trigger the power to cut back on.. could this be because of the bulbs? Any insight would help 🙌🏽
S.n- power doesn’t cut off, just experience this when turning the car on randomly.

I haven't had any issues with turning on my car and having power loss. The bulb it came with is the same halogen just in amber color so I don't think it should be the issue, at least in my humble opinion.
The only time I experienced electrical power loss (other cars) is when my car battery was low or on its way out. Not sure if this is whats casuing your issue. If it continues, check with the dealership or licensed mechanic. Hope it works out tho 👍

How to turn it on?
Turned out great. It's still good and has the same light bulb since install.
Lol sorry, I read your message wrong. To turn on the side markers, atleast in the USA, it's on the left side steering wheel. Same as when turning your headlights on. Hope this helps.
@@SpendingJar i think body shop guys messed it up too. I just checked old photos of my car n saw it was on but now it doesn’t work. I’ll go n tell them tomorrow.. thanks
