Do Teens And Their Parents Know 90s Music Videos? | Eminem, Nirvana - Zábava
She 100% had a shirt that said Nirvana without knowing who Nirvana is.
Sad that an iconic band is just a fashion statement
@@lindseylindsey6834 I mean, it's better that they're still remembered by being popular in fashion, than just totally getting forgotten..
Yeah that one shirt from Urban Outfitters. It’s so annoying, if you don’t know the band, don’t wear it for “style”
@@celaya-s4e151 lol thats just a stupid basic girl statement 🤣🤣🤣🤣
She looks like the type
“Didn’t you have a nirvana shirt?” Her mom exposed her
I have a Nirvana shirt, I LOVE Kurt Cobain
Lol yup. This generation is a bunch of posers
She literally said she didnt
Makes sense people this generation be having band shirts not knowing anything about the band.
@@Kinobambino im a big gen z nirvana fan and ur right its embarrasing
I though nirvana was a 2000's band...
Kurt Kurbain who died in 1994
@graham moore I wasnt born when nickson died... i wasnt born when MJ was black.. i wasnt born when Elviss died.. i still know all about those things and so much more.. this youtube channel needs more diverse people in their videos.. sometimes it feels like they got too many clueless people..
Ikr but I wouldn't expect anyone to know that unless they have an interest in music during that time or the artist. I thought the exact same thing though lol.
that actually had me crying
graham moore you don’t have to be born in 1994 to know that💀 it’s literally common knowledge
@graham moore MJ is still black...
I'm not saying you should know who Nirvana is but you should know who Nirvana is
This
Damn right
YES
@Santiago Carmona what is?? K-pop?? Then get the fuck outta here!!!
and im not even a fan of em. if u domt recognise that shoe, you're not UNCULTURED, you're just an idiot
“Didn’t you have a shirt that said Nirvana?”
“Nooo!”
Lol girl don’t lie 😂😂 she probably did but was embarrassed because she doesn’t even know who Nirvana is lmaoo
my brain hurt there
Im sure she lied. Hot topic maybe.
@@lindseylindsey6834 not even, forever 21, ardene, even walmart sells them. A lot of girls wear these shirts of bands they never even heard of just to 'look cool'

Poser detected 😂
Teens thought Nirvana was 00's band and Gwen Stefani was never in a band cracked me up.
I was born in 92 and didn't even know she was in a group but that's because I wasn't into the rock genre much till the mid 00's.
Lol I was born in 2006 and I know Nirvana was a 90s band and Gwen was in No Doubt 🤣
I used to work with a girl that didn’t know that Justin Timberlake was in a boy band. She made a face like she crapped her pants when I told her.
Well, I'm born in 99' but i know Nirvana just because of the memes
@@wiseguy240Winston no doubt had a huge hit in 2005.. She released music wirh them after her solo albums as well

Lmao so true
Kudos to Marlhy's dad for raising his daughter right.
Other than thinking it was the "Lose Yourself" video and not immediately recognizing 2Pac😂
@@travisstone9592 Yeah, but she knew the ones that were actually musicians.
I wouldn't expect anything less from a Dad played by Nicholas Cage.
@@kentonkruger8333 She didn't know all of the ones that were actually musicians, as we said, she didn't get Eminem and Tupac easily.
Kenton Kruger I prefer rock but rap has many great artists, 2Pac is one of the best certainly. And it’s as much music as any other genre
DID SHE SAY PANIC AT THE DISCO FOR NIRVANA IM-
I like Panic at the Disco but I died a little inside when I heard her say that...
LMAO I WAS SCREAMING P!ATD WAS NOT AROUND IN THE 90s 😭
Dana Michelle I screamed 😩
iXCrasherXi the fact that panic at the disco wasn’t even a thing in the 90s too😭 shits sad
I'm at work and I just shouted "WHAT" at my phone at that
I love how mom exposed her daughter: "don’t you have a Nirvana T-shirt? - No, I dont!"
She is definitely do
That because she doesn't know what the band Logo looks like, so maybe she doesn't know who tf they are
@@xXPurpleLoliTranceXx so she's a poser then

I have a girl in my class who was wearing a GNR T-shirt and I asked her “You like GNR?” and she told me “Who? Oh no I just thought the T-shirt was nice”. So I’m not surprised if that girl doesn’t know Nirvana
Straight poser
the fact that the girl's dad who look like into metal rock bands, knew every member of the spice girls
Katt Skywalker when you have a true love and appreciation for music you will listen to anything
They were talked about so much back in the day. It was nearly impossible to not know at least some of their names, even if you never listened to their music.
@@0okamino And most people knew them just cos of Posh and Becks. They were EVERYWHERE. Still are tbh

lol wtf
I'm not going to lie... it physically hurt seeing Kurt Cobain in the video and they still didn't get it.
Right? It's like his face is on every second Nirvana shirt. How could you NOT have seen his face before?
How stupid are they, boils my blood 😣😤
@@raisa_cherry33 today's pop songs like Bad Guy and trendy songs such as Old Town Road have undermined the legacy of songs like ' Smells Like Teen Spirit'.
Raisa Cherry@ same
Kurt Cobain is a classic “You just had to be there”. He was our KING.
lol the basic girl's mom calling her out for wearing a nirvana shirt without knowing who they are
Nirvana is a Buddhist word... Doesn't have to be associated with the band... I know they are the ones who made the word popular in west but it is meaningful on its own.
Vidhika Arya you are right but the shirts are in the band’s font and style, even the smiley face.. so she was wearing it without knowing.
@@jeelezara317 for love, no it is not only buddhist. That word belongs to hindus, jains and sikh. Hindu were there before Buddhist. So, the word and it's concept older than Buddha himself. Stop propaganda
@@jeelezara317 yeah but she said she had it on a shirt, tell me if you've ever seen nirvana in a religious sense on a shirt and how many times you've seen nirvana as in the band on a shirt...
Marlhy knows her music and you can totally tell why as soon as her dad even opens his mouth.
Or the fact that she actually makes her own music and probably because of that is very interested in music and music history.
Msa 9898 Or both, her love of music obviously comes from her father
That girl covered so quickly when her mom ratted her out on her poser nirvana shirt.
Marhly and her dad give me hope that music transcends generations. She’s very multi-generational in her music knowledge. Her taste in music is pretty good! (Not gonna lie, I hate that 90’s music is now considered a throwback since it doesn’t feel that long ago but it has been at least 21 years since 1999!)
She called Nirvana.....Panic! At the Disco.
Aight, imma head out.
I kinda wanted to kill myself when she said that
I died a lil when she said that
It was painful to watch that
i know. brendon was a fetus is 1991
i literally started crying goodbye.
I love how the parents are putting these clueless teens on blast! “Don’t you have a nirvana shirt?” “She has a poster of Tupac in her room!!!” 😂😂😂
Whats Tupac???
The reality of wearing Nirvana and actually knowing them came out hard in this video
Marlhy and her dad, Mick, are incredible music afficionado. Way to represent for 90's pop culture.
She 100% had a nirvana shirt but she didn’t wanna seem like one of those girls
Exactly. Everything she says and does already makes her come across as 'one of those girls'. Even just the way she acts. Idk who she's trying to fool lol.
She looks exactly like the girls who wear Nirvana shirts.
still shocked that people don’t know Gwen was a badass frontwoman
I'd imagine some people would more remember a person if they had a better solo career then as part of a band. I mean I am sure for example that if you asked people what band Robbie Williams or Justin Timberlake was part of once, a lot probably wouldn't know. Though No Doubt was a popular band in it's own right but still, I imagine that is the case.
@@Altoryu take that n nsync actually popular enough..n so is no doubt..cant believe they didnt all guess it..
@@Altoryu you’re right but only in the case where their solo career is more successful than the band’s one cause I’ve seen people who recognize the band but not the members alone because the band did better

And she didn't know nirvana im really fudging dead

If my kid thought Nirvana was Panic at the Disco I'd think I failed as a father.
i got so offended like brendan urie and kurt cobain are 2 completelyyyyyyy different people 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Mary Zina and they’re in two different decades
marlhy and her dad are just two awesome people
“You know Nirvana”
“No, I don’t”
“Didn’t you have a shirt that said Nirvana?”
And I ooop...I know a lot of people, especially girls, that used to have a Nirvana’s shirt while they hadn’t even heard a song of them. I don’t know that much of the band either but I think I would be a poser if I had that shirt.
It’s like the girls who wear thrasher shirts but don’t know what a skateboard truck is
The mom ratted her out!!!
she has a Tupac poster in her room, yet she doesn't even know one of his most iconic songs lmaoooo 😒
didn't know the music video. she still managed to guess the correct song ffs
Father daughter goals: Mick and Marlhy
2 minutes in and my soul has already died. Almost no one got Nirvana... not even the parents.
some of the parents did. they're not the ones guessing tho.
Yes, I had to pause the entire thing and take a break.
Crazy cuz I'm 24 and knew it right away!
I’m a P!ATD fan but when that girl compared it to Nirvana I lost some braincells
When she said Panic! At The Disco I was like “honey, they weren’t even around for about another 15 years”
Brendon Urie would have been like 1 or 2 lmao
Alexa Benowitz EXACTLY 😂
LMAO 😂😂
I hated that part. It also hurt when another teen said that they thought Nirvana was a 2000s band. Kurt wasn’t even alive in the 2000s. 😔
I'm loving these parents calling out their kids for being posers, not knowing the bands that they wear on their shirts and hang on the wall 😂
funny thing is a lot of the parents seem ignorant of 90s music too
"I've never heard that song"
"Yes you have"
Little red haired girl & her dad are giving me sunshine & rainbow vibes. All the feels... 🌺🌈
Mom just exposed her daughter for being a hype beast and she got embarrassed lol
Lol that was great. I once played a zeppelin song at work because my coworker was wearing a zep shirt. She had no idea who they were or had heard any of their songs.
@@movietimeateds69 man, that's always kind of a let down. on the opposite end, i once saw a customer come in, 16 year old kid with his mom and sister, wearing a Slayer shirt. so since our store had a bluetooth speaker we'd connect our phones to, i put on Raining Blood to see his reaction. The kid lit up from across the store and told his mom "THEY'RE PLAYING RAINING BLOOD". He came up to the register to shake my hand 😂

Cris Is Yes She probably also has that disrespectful as FUCK shirt that has Kurt Cobain's suicide note on it too
Every time I watch these my soul dies

Ok. Marlhy is officially the Sydney of the Teen Reactors. Aka: best girl in class.

When you realize your more 90’s than the parents and children combined 🤯
Weezer making a video in the 90's about a TV show of the 70's placed in the 50's which we look at in the (new) 20's.

Marly has the fucking coolest dad ever, and he has the fucking coolest daughter ever xD
I love when Marlhy is on React. They should bring her on more often. She is my favorite Reacter on FBE.
How do people NOT know Nirvana!?!?!
Each subsequent generation seems to be more and more removed from even relatively recent previous culture as the musical eras go by.
Grunge is not really big any more and Nirvanas fame die out in the 2000s and only got back because of the internet
Marlhy and her dad are the coolest e.v.e.r.
When her dad named all the Spice Girls! 😄 he's AWESOME!!
Marhly is awesome. lol. both her n her dad. Altho, something tells me given Marhly's musical background and her dad's looks, he's probably some music instructor or director, or something of that nature.. Possibly something in the educational field. And his demeanor n everything. He's a super chill n calm guy at least on camera and what i've seen of him. He's dope.
He's an interesting looking guy, too. Like a cross between Billy Connolly, Wayne Coyne, and Patrick Simmons. Marlhy has done quite well on the musical "Do They Know It" episodes she has been in, so I'd guess she's had a lot of parental introduction to music from before her time, and retained it. She's a sharp one. :)
@@0okamino she's a drummer in a band. :) so she has a rather extensive musical background.
