@Death Awaits they weren't asking them to guess songs. It's all about whether they know the images in the videos and can identify it by visuals. I knew them all right away. But it's not about saying the kids are wrong to not know these old videos. It's about making the rest of us feel old. Lol.

I'm extremely astonished that no one knew âAround the worldâ. IMHO easily among the top 10 music videos defining the genre as an art form (alongside Sledgehammer, Take on me, etc.).
You gotta understand that came out around the time they were born. I don't even know how you'd really see any music videos back then without MTV. To be "extremely astonished" is a bit much in my opinion.

Age is definitely not an excuse for not knowing good music. It's definitely more influenced by cultural factors and personal interest. I was listening to GnR when I was a teenage and The Temptations when I was a child.

MTV died because they saw conventional TV and Music was dying. We literally have CZcams, where we can watch any music video ever. TV is dying in general, music can be streamed and played anywhere. Nobody would watch any form of music video TV platform in todayâs age (thereâs some channels that still do it, itâs not going so well for them)

At 45, I was amazed that I got all (but daft punk) the videos in the first few seconds of the video w/o sound. I listen to all genres of music (but not everyone that's a musician)..I miss VH1,BET, and MTV having videos all day /throughout the day.
