- The 5th scale Boss is in the studio to check out the Kraken KV5TT, a 5th scale version of a truck we love! I am eaer to et it up on the bench to chat all about it while we discover all the neat things about this truck. I think what shocked us both so much - is its like a smaller version of the Vekta 5 - but this one is much lighter, and fly's so well! First we unbox it, and then we fuel and fire it - but first, let me mention the Kraken "Stryker" that is being worked on!

Wow !! The rc crazy! it's a great unboxing. Very good test, excellent speed and the brakes are impressive !! First test, first broken 😄😄 it's a very hard test at least we saw how strong it was 😄 It is sure that the rear tires are against weight, I think there is some adjustment to make and can be repaired the body 😂 Very funny video, thanks 😄👍

You changed the shocks for driving without the spare tires. Afterwards you put the spare tires back on. So you'll need to put up the shocks again. And maybe a bit more. There is a big droop at the back. Great video again guys! 👍😁

I am just learning about all the 1/5th scale vehicles out there. Right now I have to decide if I go Losi 5ive or Kracken TSCO It's a really hard choice. I love both trucks and they are priced about the same in the RTR package. I am just up the interstate from Kalamazoo, MI. Yep, it's a real place. Home of the original Checker Cab company along with the original home of Gibson guitars. Kalamazoo is also responsible for molding one the best to ever play the bass guitar, Mr. Jason Newsted. Jason was one of my brothers best friends growing up. So my biggest worry is that I cannot seem to find anywhere to race the trucks anywhere even remotely close to Michigan. From what I have found Wisconsin is probably the closest.
Luckily I have a few acres and I can build a track to play on at my house but I am going to get bored running all by myself and the whole idea of racing these trucks isn't just for the glory of victory, it's all the people that you get to meet that are as passionate as you are about whatever you are into. I don't care if its knitting stocking caps if guys got into it we would be racing each other. It's just a part of most man's psyche.
Where are you guys from. I haven't seemed to run across that little piece of info yet. So I am probably going to just run whatever truck platform I choose in the stock configuration so I can get comfortable with the truck and know it inside and out, top to bottom. Then I can make an informed decision on upgrading.
If you guys have any knowledge of Michigan based tracks or if there is a couple of die hard Michigander's that spend their 2 weeks of vacation each year racing these trucks please let me know because I will be tagging along. Thanks in advance for any info or any suggestions for popping my 1/5th scale cherry please be gentle with me.
