@Matthew McGinley Thank you! Unfortunately we don’t have the dimensions. We put the tent on top of the tarp & trimmed around it. Please make sure the tarp is a little smaller than the footprint of the tent so when it rains & the water runs down the walls, it won’t run between the tent and the floor. Hope you enjoy the tent! 🤩

Nice video! And you included some info. that other reviewers lacked, specifically a good visual of the screened roof from the inside. The elite version of this tent has extra strips of tent material crossing through the roof to support the LED ceiling light. But this tent doesn't have that extra material, which I prefer. An LED light would be a nice feature for some folks. But seems all that extra material on the roof would obstruct your view of the starry night sky!
I'm planning on getting this tent and taking it to Holly beach Louisiana for a few days of camping/fishing. Do you think it would do well at the beach? Do you think the provided stakes are long enough for the sand?

I just got the one with LED lighting - appreciate this comment on it obscuring the view of stars. I haven't put it up yet, so I'll see how that is. Also this brown version looks like the screen room has a floor, does it? my blue tent doesn't have a floor in the screen part. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing.
And if the screen room has a floor how does that work with rain?

@@idid138 So I ended up buying the brown Weathermaster 6 (non elite version) not long after my original comment. So far, I have used it only on the beach here in south Louisiana. Beautiful tent, lots of space, and held up pretty good in windy weather. However, on a particular windy morning, a strong gust of wind hit my tent head on and tore the seams where the floor (staked really well in the sand) of the tent meets the screened porch. The tent completely colapsed. But I was able to prop it up for the remainder of the trip, though with a big rip on both sides of the tent.
I contacted Coleman to see if I could mail it in to get it repaired. I was even willing to pay all repairs and shipping cost. However, Coleman went above and beyond the call of duty. They told me that since my tent was under warrenty, they were going to send out a replacement tent for no charge. And since they were not able to find another brown Weathermaster 6 availiable, they sent out a brand new elite Weathermaster 6. And within 2 weeks, It arrived at my house all for no charge! Coleman customer service is the absolute best in the industry! Can't say enough good things about them.
As for the comparison, both tents are awesome. Neither the LED light nor extra celing fabric was an issue in obstructing the night sky. The light is removable anyway, so if it obstructs any view, it can be removed easily. And as you probably found out by now, the elite version (and non elite verion) does not have a floor in the porch. I actually prefer them not to have a floor in the porch because I like being able to feel the sand while sitting in the porch. I did have micro amounts of rain water build up on the floor of the tent near the mattres during heavy rains. But a coat of tent sealant probably would have prevented that.
My overall conclusion: awesome tents and awesome people at Coleman that met and exceeded my expectations. However, if you take the tent where there is likely to be high winds, remember this isn't a dome tent; it does have its limitations on how much wind it can handle. For me that limitation was around 35+mph, which isn't normal conditions for tenting anyway.

Awesome review, I lost the fly on mine though. Do you have any ideas of how to replace it, use something else?

If you were to replace the fly with some kind of tarp or plastic, you would loose all of the great features of the weather master tent, like doors, windows & screened in porch. Hope you are able to find another fly! 😭

Hi! My hubby and I are looking at different tents. I was wondering if you somehow lock it at night just to make sure Noone will just walk in while your sleeping? Or when u just go on a walk and so on

Thinking of purchasing this tent. How is it truly in a rainstorm? Live in ny so the catskills get unexpected rain I have a basic Coleman flat woods now that’s fine but I like this idea for me and wife

I have experienced a few storms in my Weathermaster 10. (Including a tornado warning storm.) After a tent collapsed on me in a storm when I was a kid, I hate such as hearing a few raindrops while camping.
My Weathermaster kept us dry and held up to the winds. Enough so that I didn't panic three weeks ago during a bad storm that rolled in about 3 am. Ten years, and the tent held strong. My tarp set up blew, so I was out fixing that, but once I restaked that, I slept no problem.
What brand is your air mattress ? Do you like that it’s much taller than the typical air mattress…. And if yes, what makes it better??

So if you enter through the door, how do you put the flap over the door so it does not leak? Seems the screen area (Mud room) would be the area to come in and out of in an effort to take off your shoes before stepping in. Am I missing something?
Secondly, since the roof is a screen, doesnt the heat from the heaters jut go out the roof, even with the tarp on? Guess there is no way to create a seamless interior with a screen on the roof. I know putting a heater in a tent is not going to be super warm but it certainly is not going to do any good it seems with the roof being a screen. Have you had any experience with this in the cold at night, say around 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit?
@Houston Brown Thank you for taking time to watch our video & commenting! We completely agree that if it is raining the mud room would be the best place to enter. We have had experience with closing the door and putting the flap over the door from the inside and it is fairly easy.
In regards to the heater, we have used a heater in 30° weather and it does warm the tent even though it has screen openings. Luckily we have not experienced extreme rain in our tent. As you can see we have upgraded to a travel trailer but still like to tent camp periodically. Please let us know if you have any additional questions! 🤩

We did 2 coats on the inside & 2 coats on outside of tent & rain fly. 6 cans were needed.

The fabric and seams of most Coleman tents will leak in heavy rain. I recommend to anyone purchasing a Coleman tent that you do spray it down with a weatherproofing spray, as you did.

Does it leak in a heavy downpour
We have not been in that situation but the fly cover has been okay in light rain. We recommend the silicone spray for extra protection! Thanks for watching. 🤩
I have this tent and have been in a downpour. It is not waterproof. The corners did get a small amount of leakage. The biggest problem was the rain fly touches the netting on the top of tent and water comes through. If it’s going to be raining you definitely need to have a tarp over the tent.

Another issue with rain (based on what I can see in the video) is a ground sheet that extends beyond the edges of the tent (into the screen room). Rain will fall through the screen, collect on the ground sheet, and run under the tent. I would recommend trimming your ground sheet to just a few inches smaller than the tent (excluding the screen room) and utilizing an indoor/outdoor rug in the screen room that doesn't run under the edge of the main tent.
