If freelee truly only cared about the ethical arguments of veganism, she would have focused on that argument alone when discussing other people's diets. but the fact that most of her commentary is about people's appearance and just idiotic low blows that have nothing to do with animal well-fare shows her nature as just a mean person looking for any excuse to bully people.

It’s fascinatingly bizarre also that Freelee goes on about freeing women from societal beauty standards whilst embracing and promoting societal beauty standards, long hair, thinness (differs from promoting healthy weight for health imo), always has a crop top on which would be fine if Freelee didn’t seem to have an agenda with this. Freelee was definitely worse when she was with Durian, his content last I checked was still repugnant but it’s obvious that Freelee is still trying to use aesthetics as a primary selling feature for fruitarianism. Nothing wrong with wanting to look nice, but we can’t always control this and her perspective on looking nice does seem ageist and deluded about aging. How is Freelee going to promote fruitarianism when she begins to age and can’t use a crop top to promote how wonderful fruitarianism is, she free to still wear crop tops at any age if she wants but it’s just not going to sell e-books to impressionable 16-20 yr olds wanting to look like photo edited Instagram models 🤣

She is against removing body hair yet in her IG pictures she shows herself in tiny underwear and she has an incredibly smooth bikini area for someone who claims to not remove any body hair . My grandpa has had cancer for 10 years and a few years ago his natural doctor convinced my grandparents to STOP CHEMO AND INSTEAD DO VITAMIN C INFUSIONS. His health declined so rapidly it was terrifying. They followed through until the (normal) clinic started threatening to cease any and all treatment (like transfusions, tests, imaging) if they continued seeing the naturopath. The doctors were literally begging my grandparents to stop seeing that quack. Thank godddd they did, he got back on normal cancer treatment and starting seeing the results they were hoping for.

This is horrifying and y’all should sue tf out of that evil person. To encourage a person with cancer to stop chemotherapy and get freaking vitamin C transfusions???? Like he’s lucky your grandfather didn’t die bc of that but I’m sure someone like that wouldn’t even feel guilty. I saw this article/blog post some girl made basically saying everyone has gut parasites and saying she sees one that’s are over a foot long and “some that look like rice” and then openly encouraged people to not see an actual GI doctor and instead do coffee enemas and take a bunch of sponsored detox protocols and stuff. She also said she was never diagnosed with gut parasites but “knows her body” and when she started doing the enemas and shit that’s when her body was “eradicating the parasites” and I was just like dumbfounded with how idiotic and irresponsible someone can be to encourage those things. She most likely was pooping out her intestinal lining and not “parasites”. My sister a couple years back was losing a bunch of weight like to the point of being under 100 pounds at 5’8 and couldn’t eat and finally my mom forced her to go to the ER bc she couldn’t eat at all. Basically they found out she had a bowel obstruction over a foot long and would have died if she hadn’t gone to the hospital. It just scares me to think that if she had been into pseudoscience and listened to shit like that she would be dead and she’s 26 years old. I just can’t believe people are so evil and selfish that they will risk peoples lives and health to further their agenda and make money.

He has gotten me to start prioritizing my (still very much vegan) protein intake again and weight training. No matter how many views you get now, I'll be here with you till the end of the internet :P You're one of a few content creators I respect for a balanced approach to the topics you discuss and for your ability to think and speak in a rational manner. I don't remember how I was introduced to the idea of veganism for the first time but what I can tell is that I was probably skeptical - that's my second nature as someone who was brought up in a cult. I probably started googling something like 'criticism of veganism' and I found your channel. What I immediately liked about it was that you definitely didn't talk like a cult leader promoting veganism as the one and only healthy diet, demonizing meat and dairy products and celebrating any crazy idea some vegans come up with. Those are the reasons I started listening to you but I didn't have any intentions of giving up meat let alone giving it up overnight. That was the food I enjoyed the most after all. Anyways, you kept on saying: if you can't go vegan because of X, go vegan except for X. You also kept on saying that nobody's perfect, but we can always do better. So I started doing better... First I learned something about nutrition from vegan RDs, then I learned how to cook vegan (I waited for this goddamn saitan recipe but I gave up and found inspiration somewhere else :P). Finally I started changing my meals and checking how my macros and micros looked in the cronometer. Now after 2 years I don't buy meat and diary products any more except for fish and I'm proud of what I managed to achieve so far given my food preferences and habits. I hope that my comment doesn't sound like a testimony of someone born again or something like that :D And I was kidding - if you start promoting some crazy fringe stuff and pseudoscience I'll go away :P Sorry for my grammar if I made mistakes but I live in a non-English speaking country.

If I eat plenty of volume, I’ll feel bloated, sure, and then within an hour I will be ravenous. Once again Freelee strikes with her privileged position of not having to hold down a “normal” job which highlights that she has to perpetuate her brand of crazy to afford not working 😏 anyway, I am a broken record already commenting something to this effect so byeeeeee …

As a currently pregnant woman who dealt with infertility: there are no strong recommendations from the medical community on diet for fertility. There is evidence that adding full fat dairy to your diet if you avoided it before may enhance fertility but the advantage is barely significant and may have more to do with being “well conditioned “ than the actual dairy. One told me I was welcome to try a no dairy/sugar/gluten diet but to be careful not to lose weight. 😶 But yes, naturopaths are not physicians and 25% of women experience miscarriage so Yvonna is just normal, not sick . I am happy for her that she has her rainbow baby.

I left a similar comment. There is evidence for a higher fat diet & dairy, & it makes sense, bc the body is more likely to ovulate when it senses we're in times of plenty that can support another life. First thing most fertility docs say if you're thin is to gain a bit of weight. For me personally I wasn't ovulating when I was very thin, & it's ironic bc I had a really low bf fitness shape that looks super healthy. Just not for fertility, I guess!

Wow! Amazing video. I have lots to say..
First of all...please continue making Freelee response videos, they’re honestly my favourite because you are SO spot on, and I love watching someone with actual brains put Freelee in her place, who is actually vegan themselves. The only people I can seem to find on YT who criticise Freelee are non-vegans/anti-vegans.. and as a vegan myself, I obviously don’t really want to watch those.
Secondly; I used to be a fan of Freelee (and regrettably, got my husband into her too)..but as of late, Ive seen how wrong, and downright nasty, she actually is (especially because of UV’s videos.)
I cannot believe I used to think Unnatural Vegan was “a horrible vegan” solely based on what Freelee and her minions said! You are honestly my favourite vegan CZcamsr now that I’ve ACTUALLY watched your content for myself.
Third; I am definitely not a huge fan of Yovana, and as Swayze said- as a vegan, I obviously don’t like how she now eats animal products. However, I can fully relate and sympathise with her, as I’ve suffered from multiple miscarriages myself. After even just ONE, you will do almost anything to prevent it happening again. I don’t fault Yovana at all for listening to this naturopaths advice...she was desperate. Having a miscarriage is so painful and honestly, you feel like you’ll even try eating dirt if it’ll help, lol. I’m glad she got her baby in the end.
Freelee needs to stfu about fertility advice when she has absolutely NO CLUE about any of it. And that comment about how she’s “not surprised” Yovana had a MC because of her diet.... revolting. What a vile thing to say.
For someone who says she cares about the animals so much...she is doing an awful job at getting people to actually go vegan. She very clearly cares way more about pushing her own specific diet/way of eating, rather than a vegan one in general.

The crazy thing is that naturopathic ideas have spread to actual doctors. My sister was told to go on an extreme version of the paleo diet and take all these extra supplements because she got frequent migraines. It stopped the migraines but she lost too much weight. She manages to get pregnant and starts slacking on the diet because of course a pregnant woman wants bread and other things that aren’t on the paleo and she miscarried. Only then did the guy try and figure out why cutting out grains and other foods caused migraines…she had that MTHFR gene and synthetic folic acid (in processed foods) was causing the migraines and the miscarriage. She didn’t have to eat bacon and eggs every day for breakfast, cut out beans and bananas and be miserable. The guy could’ve just tried to figure out why the diet change stopped the symptoms temporarily…Fancy diets and supplements don’t get to the bottom of the issue, they just cover up and maybe temporarily handle the symptoms.

This woman hasn't changed since 10 years, from the time she was in a relationship with Durianrider, to now people have always told her that maybe she would be less hated in the community if she was more compassionate. She just can't do it and her approach has become increasingly agressive. It was wrong to make content based on bullying people in 2012, and it's worse in 2022 but while I went through a whole change, from puberty to late 20's, this woman has remained an entitled old hag. And for her sake, I hope in 10 years she learn to be a kind person, because the world is an exhausting place when you constantly have to wrestle with keeping an image of superior perfection. I'm sorry that freelee never in her life met the person that held her hand and showed her how to be kind to people and to be kind to herself.

Also it’s funny that Freelee talks about calories when it’s like yeah but the meat will have more calories than fruit so idk.

  • @reasonablecicada

I don't think Freelee is necessarily lying about how much she's eating, but she is certainly omitting details regarding her diet. She used to have a Strava account that was visible to the public, and the rides she was going on with DR every single day were burning around 1500-2000 calories. It's easy to stay thin on "abundant" food when you're burning off every bit of excess caloric intake. And yet she never mentions that she was exercising at an athlete level, and instead pretended that she just took a leisurely stroll every once in a while.

Just to note- Nuzest is actually freakin' delicious! It's a really simplified pea protein, doesn't have all the extra additives that a lot of plant-based proteins (and protein powders in general) have in them. It's also super easy on the gut which may be why Yovana is using it (I think she mentioned a while back that she was having issues with her gut health?). Idk, it's a really high quality product in my opinion and I'll continue to choose it over other plant-based protein powders. Would recommend :)

Plus even if I did decide to become vegan again I wouldn’t even be classified as vegan because unlike 2016-2018 it’s just about the animals that you aren’t a vegan if you don’t put the animals first. I want to be healthy and eating meat fruits and vegetables is the best diet for me. I do plan on in the future having my own chickens, fruit and vegetables so atleast I will have some impact and selling eggs where no male chicks are hurt would help I would instead sell the male chickens so others can have back yard chicken that can supply them with the most ethical way of consuming eggs and hopefully getting rid of the egg industry and factory and industry farms being of the past and local farms being the future that would be awesome if vegans can stop. The factory farms I would be okay with that but it would also be good if they said for people to go get there meat dairy eggs from small local farmers which unlike meat at the shops don’t get subsidies. There will never be a vegan future but there still could be a better future for the animals. This is just my opinion it probably will never come true.

If you feel your miscarriage needs to be investigated, PLEASE push for testing to be done. Way too many doctors are perfectly fine with watching women miscarry over and over, and blow it off to “the nature of things”. The trauma of pregnancy and loss is horrific, and lasting. Never feel bad for seeking answers. That’s what doctors are for in the first place!!! ALSO, make sure your partner is ALSOOOOOO getting tested.

The beginning fertility plan was exactly what my ob who specializes in fertility had my do. The blood work all normal, if she had inflammation markers they don't always send you to a allergist many of them just have your removed the common ones and see if that's good enough. Then add 1 back in at a time to see what causes symptoms. Our kids have tons of food allergies and even after having older sibs that are diagnosed it takes a lot to convince a dr to do testing most just want to do elimination diets.
