“If you do” was released far before Fake Love lol the biggest difference between the new and older are the ppl who wrote it. Nanana & You calling my name are written/produced by the members specifically Jayb. “Just Right” & “if you do” was done by the main producer of their ex-company Jyp. A big reason they left the company is to have complete control over their sound

Hey Sammy.....I've been watching Got 7 since seeing a video with Namjoon and Jackson together as great friends. Have to say my bias'in got 7 are Jackson and Bam, who also have been putting out great solo work since their departure from previous mgmt. Look into their solo work as I think you'll be impressed by their visuals also. After hearing their new group release, it appears that I need to investigate the other members solo work also....So much music, so little time!!!!!😉.

I don't mean to offend anyone but got7 is very different and ahead of their time in music. If you do was released way before fake love. When everyone in kpop putting hard beat chorus in 2019, got7 slapped with an anti-drop chorus mellow bop you calling my name. Just right and if you do is released same year tells about their versatility. This year everyone is putting very hard beats with electronic influence which make me miss mellow side of kpop and got7 again drop NANANA, so vibey so dreamy....remind me a lot of when kpop used to make mellow music full with vocals instead of hard beats and noise. 🥺
This was a year ago but your comment is still on point. LOL The reason why GOT7 is my ultimate is because of their songs. Their group and solo songs especially solo ones because all of them are self-producing singers and songwriters and what's amazing is that they all have different sounds when you listen to each member's solo album. While JAY B and Yugyeom we already know that they dig more on RnB/Hiphop/Soul kind of music, JAY B himself is out of this world because he also produces very funky and pop sounds like his solo song "go UP" which was released just last year. That whole album was a bop and totally leaning on vibey and western kind of music style where 2 songs are completely in English! What's more amazing is his work as Def. which is his producer name where he also released 2 EPs with a Love and breakup theme back to back. If you listen to the sound of the songs from his Def. work, it's totally different from JAY B work and his songs as well which he writes for GOT7. IDK but for me this is the reason I'm finding it hard to not make him my ultimate bias because literally he can do anything. Not only that, he also co-produces and releases songs with his musician producer and crew friends under the group name Offshore, formerly Paradise Crew and boy, I'm telling you, they make such beautifully arranged soulful/Rnb/hiphop music that you mostly wouldn't get in the Kpop mainstream. It's totally self-composed and produced and just pure talent. LOL this is so long but I hope people will read this and also Sammy :) I hope you have already made a journey with GOT7 and have known them better after a year. Totally love your reactions. Cheers!
Got7 is just so versatile. They dont stick in one theme. They explore different sounds and styles and that's what i love about them.

Got7 are great!!! They’re definetly one of the most talented and funny groups out there. You should totally check out their solos and their funny compilation videos 🤍💚
They’re solo stuff is amazing as well. Also, you should check out Not By The Moon by them. The vocalist you like, his name is JayB and his voice is angelic in that song.
JayB (Jaebeom) has such a distinct voice/tone; actually they all do, which is why I love the group as a whole. If you dive in deeper to GOT7... especially their videos of them just being chaotic, you'll become such a fan. They're all so endearing, even if you have a bias/favourite, it hard not to love them all!
I feel like you'll really like JJ Projects album, which is a subunit of GOT with JayB and Jinyoung. Also all the members solo stuff is top tier!
You should definitely check out Jay B’s solo album as Def. called Love. He wrote and produced all the songs himself and the whole album is out of this world beautiful.

Just Right is one of my favorites, honestly. I love the message behind the song and the MV is so cute. Honestly though this song is one of my go to songs when I am feeling self conscious and struggling with my body image because it's such a nice pick me up. You should check out the lyrics, Sammy.

Thanks for the reaction, I suggest you to check Aura, Not by the moon, Poison, You are, Love loop and Lullaby but they have so many good songs even their b sides are masterpieces. They are amazing dancers and song writers, the lyrics and the messages of the songs are beautiful and meaningfull. "Just right" is about self love, telling that the girl is just right the way she is.
You should read the lyrics! their songs are really deep and meaningful than they may seem. Their newer songs are like poetry because theres so much behind each line of the song.

You Calling My Name is my favorite song by them! I also recommend Trust My Love & Focus on Me (the 2nd song is just Yugyeom & Jay B in a subunit called Jus2)
If you didn’t know, they are all practically best friends with BTS. Mark is close with V, Jackson is close with RM, and BamBam & Yugyeom are in a 97 liners chat with Jungkook. I think I’ve heard that Jay B & Suga are friends as well. Jungkook & Yugyeom are literally best friends. There are multiple compilations of them together & also just BTS & Got7 in general.
Also, this isn’t related to BTS, but BamBam was actually supposed to debut in Stray Kids, & bc of that, him & Chan are best friends.

What's good about my boys is that they come up with different concepts and styles every time. Just right was a huge hit especially because of how rich its message is (You should really check out their lyrics). Also, as time passes by, they found their sound much more especially since they have heavily participated on their recent ones.

I will recommend their debut Girls Girls Girls, Hard Carry, You Are and Look.. You Are (2017) was the first Title Track written by a member, leader JayB did both You Are and Look (2018)💚💚 They started having more imput on their songs after If You Do.. So 2016 was the year where we got to hear their style way more, but mostly on their b-sides..
They left JYPE in January last year because they wanted full control over their music.. So NaNaNa and the self titled album GOT7 is their first album since they left the company, and they actually left with all their rights, so GOT7 owns GOT7.. Leader JayB (my Ult) made sure they got all their rights 😌🙌🏻 That's why this CB is extra special, especially to the fans but also for the whole industry 💚

at last u discovered a legend GROUP.....
You should do a debut catchup soon! I think there's been a lot of new kpop group/solo debuts recently and I think the best way for you to get to all of them is to make a catch up vid :) heres 7 groups and 1 soloist which you can divide into 2 videos since 4 songs each is usually your go-to set up!
- Le Sserafim- FEARLESS (they're HYBE's new girl group and I'm actually surprised you didn't react to them yet! Similar to IVE, they have 2 members who were previously in the group IZ*ONE. Currently one of the members is in a scandal so its unclear if they're a 5 or 6 member group but it doesn't take away from the fact the group as a whole is rly talented!)
- Xdinary Heroes- Happy Death Day (they're a band- not a group that dances, they use instruments like day6- under JYP Entertainment, another group from a big company im surprised u missed lol. They debuted Dec 2021 and, though it hasn't been confirmed, they might be coming back soon!)
- Tempest- Bad News (They're a group under Yuehua Ent. the same came as Everglow, where many of the member have come from survival shows in which they didn't make the final lineup, noteably Hanbin from I-land, whos also the first Vietnamese K-pop idol! There's also Lew and Hyungseop of Produce 101 and Hwarang from Under Nineteen)
- TNX- MOVE (I'm also surprised you haven't reacted to TNX as well! They're PNATION's first idol group- which, if you don't know, is PSY's company! PNATION's known for their solo artists and PSY, in collab with JYP, set up a survival show where they would each debut a new boy group)
- YENA- Smiley (shes also under Yuehua Ent. similar to Tempest and Everglow and she used to be a member of IZ*ONE and debuted as a soloist!)
- Blank2Y- Thumbs Up (they just debuted today lol- I don't know too much about them but I know that one of the members, Youngbin, also used to be on I-land!)

GOT7 hands down have best vocalist of their generation alongside Exo. Both their main vocalist get insane range , their lead vocalist can eat up main vocalist of other groups anytime. Yup their rappers can sing too after going solos, all of them learn and improve their techniques.

If “If You Do” was more in line with your musical taste, you will enjoy all of their albums. Much of their non-title tracks fall in line with classic pop-r&b sounds.
You may also easily notice a trend in GOT7’s “environment” of sounds that you were picking up on here. Like, if you were to create a playlist of K-pop music you haven’t heard yet, I bet 80% (if not more) of your guesses that a song was GOT7’s would be correct.
That’s what is so great about being a fan of them, because even if you’re not a huge fan of a song, you still get why they made it, and that they did well with it.
