      You got no idea man. I went from shops that all sprayed cromax pro, to my current I've that sprays sikkens. Sikkens uses A TON of base coat has to be the worst in the industry no coverage. So many coats, hard to keep jobs clean because of it, and the speed is none, super slow process so much waiting for base to dry and time for applying other coats of base. I did easy 3 to 5 ribs in paint booth a day with cromax when we were busy. And new so with sikkens you physically cannot get past 2 booth runs. The amount of money lost just using this system is unreal. Extra coats $. Man hours wasted on applying them and drying them. When you could be onto the next job bringing more money in the shop, instead your still on the same job. Not impressed with the product at all. But hopefully will be changing away from it this year, to many issues, to much cost, terrible support. Here's hopen that goes away

    Hi,I’m a level 3 paint tec.could you please tell me how much paint you would normally mix up per panel? Eg. Fender,hood,bumper etc.it would be a great help,thanks. Great video.

    • @everyday_painter
      @everyday_painter  Před 3 lety

      Depends if it’s full panel/ blend/ inside and out. But usually around 5 for doors 10 for a hood depending on vehicle. 3 for fenders. Also depends what product your spraying. Every company covers differently.

    nice job. do you prefer silkens waterbase over ppg waterbase?

    • @everyday_painter
      @everyday_painter  Před 4 lety

      Yes prefer Sikkens compared to PPG. Application is basically the same. But I think the color matches are better. And the camera is amazing for Sikkens Autowave.

    Hi what's the mixing ratio for water base paint? Do you add HARDENER and THINNER??? Reply ASAP please

    • @everyday_painter
      @everyday_painter  Před 2 lety

      For sikkens I would add 20% water activator for solid colors and 40% for Metallics. No hardener needed.

      Thank you! With Autowave I would typically not use a wetbed. I would on some light gold or really light metallic blues. I seemed to fight those colors somewhat. I did use it in this video and a couple others mainly for demonstration purposes. Sikkens Autowave lays down very nice and typically won’t need it. Anyways to answer your question. I used 666 mixed with 20% wb activator.

      40-50 for basecoat. 50-55 for clear coat. Each gun I have is different. Everyone is gonna be different. Depends on your hose length, size, fittings. Many things can change it. I have a digital gauge on my sata rp so it tells me what I’m at. I run no regulator on my gun and adjust from the wall with air on gun wide open.
