@@Min4Mass That turn is easy to take in a z. Zs can handle quite a bit as they were designed for cornering and drifting. Must have to be able to do research to know that though.

I watch these videos to watch how this man rev matches and shifts. He makes it look like butter.
This really helps see what the brz experience is like. The rear view seems great. Good engine tones.
This car is amazing I really love the design and performance as is. But with the amount of engineering that went into this car I think it deserved to have had at least a little better numbers for hp and torque.

I think it's just that it is slow enough to drive hard on the road without breaking the speed limit. I used to do the same with my 2000 V6 mustang. The 19 year old mustang had a lot more torque so I am sure you can push the engine on this one more up hills.
He also owns an FR-S/ BR-Z, idr which, so he's comfortable in this car already for sure

Literally every single person in these comment sections that say it's too expensive for 200hp has no idea how inflation works.
A Nissan 240sx was 24k in 1998, which would be 37k in today's money.
So no, it's not too expensive. For it's current price you get a more than serviceable chassis, an engine that puts out 100hp per liter, and a great driving feel. You can't put a price on driving feel, nor can you mod it in effectively.
You aren't wrong about inflation, the problem is with what you get for the cost. I bought a 370z for the same price as a brz and out of the box it is faster and just as sporty. It also comes with a v6 that can handle a huge amount of power without being rebuilt. The brz is a nice looking car but for the price you can do better.

@@croaton07 Almost every review comparison I've seen choose the brz over the 370z. The 370z has more power and that's it dude. Handling, interior, overall feel is just much better in the brz, not as fun of a car at all

That is one thing with this car, it is so rough (makes it more fun) but I felt every pothole and road bump watching this video 🤣
I own a 350Z all tho I love my Z , these BRZ’s look and sound awesome , maybe I’ll get one in the future they look so aggressive

I just put uel header, Catless front pipe, and muffler delete. It's so damn loud I love it
I love the BRZ, it looks fantastic, quite aesthetic... a real sport car, however it's slow, it doesn't feel as strong, and quick as a turbo car would feel with the same amount of hp... I think that an addition torque and 100hp could make this car better.
Nice to know that the shifter still rattles at 5k RPM+.

@@no-hi2mr Depends what you want. For a first sports car hell yes! However, If you want straight line speed don't get this car. If you are planning to leave it stock I wouldn't get this car.

People who say this car is not quick enough are really missing the point. I believe this car is a very good long distance cruiser as well.

Not meat be a long cruiser but it can do it solidly, I drove 1000 miles trip in mine it was great but you have to take breaks cause the aggressive seat bolsters can make you sore

I have a question. You know how there’s like a digital dyno on the gauge cluster? If you have it tuned/modified would the lines in the dyno change as well?

For someone who has the money, why not? But yeah for the same price you could get a base BRZ and upgrade it even more
LeCoureurDesBois I had the tS model since last March and it’s amazing with all the upgrades, sadly it was totaled due to oncoming traffic failed to yield while turning and t boned the brz

Even if the 86/BRZ is "underpowered" it is such a great car I just love it, the TS is sexier but too expensive for me
I didn’t get the tS cuz I didn’t like the attention the wing might attract, but if I were to buy a tS for the 2020 model year I’d prolly get a tS since it doesn’t come with a big wing.

As someone else mentioned, $33k for 205hp with a 4-cylinder is asking way too much. So many better performance options on the used market for around the same price that are still practically new (Mustang GT, M235i, WRX STI, 370z (even a nismo) & more). For me, I'd rather go with one of those options. Great video as usual though!
You're not paying for the engine...
Outdoor Layne wdym the z is terrible in that department I have a nismo and I literally smoked a brz in 4th gear while he was in second plus my handling is much better with the nismo package

You aren’t paying for the motor. You’re paying for the STi suspension upgrades,

no fog light no buy! haha for reals though I love the look of fog lights and really wish they would have kept it for the tS which is why I went for the limited trim instead.
Daniel Masterson on my FRS i noticed the fog lights are a waste. Imma switch them out and put LED projector foglights because these hallogen ones are not good at all.

I like this car a lot I really do, it’s really good with handling and zippy. But I will say this, I really really wished Subaru listened to us. If this thing came turbocharged it would of been even more awesome. Just imagine this car with the Ej255 and turbocharged omg man would of killed.

it’s not supposed to be a fast car. It’s a driver’s car. The handling, the loud engine, and the response time. If you want a fast car go for the wrx.

Coming from someone who HAD a BRZ and swapped for a same year WRX, I couldn't be happier to not have the BRZ anymore. Thing makes no power and I'm only paying a small amount more each month for the WRX which is alot faster.
Why does this car not have a turbo?
I have a 2019 86 as my first manual. Is it a good idea to rev all the way up to 7,000rpm? I usually stay around 3,000 - 4,000rpm cuz
I don't wanna hurt my engine. What should I be aware of beforehand? Should I use a thicker oil or something?
Just make sure your temperature gauge is in the middle, and don't hold it at redline for a long time (like leaving it bouncing off the rev limiter for ages). Don't drive it hard when it's cold and you'll be fine.
Redline is 7,400. Shifting at 7k is safe for the motor (synchros don’t like it much though)

Depending on where you live, if you live in us we don't get the 86, but the BRZ and FRS, if you want a car that has comfy suspension and a nice interior the BRZ is the way to go. But if you want a funner car to drive its the FRS, i think the 86 is the same as FRS
