  • Moved the windshield from the high to the low position - piece of cake. Take a look to Max without screen, it looks like a spaceship!
    Good built quality, good assembly, good engineering. The Maxsym confirmed to be an excellent piece of kit, especially considering its cost. Very happy with it! Highly recommended!

    Brilliant, now I know how to eradicate the buzz coming from my windscreen. All the best from sunny South Africa.

    Hello from Greece. I own a maxsym600 and I can just say it is a wonderful bike. I want to mention that the small hole (behind the windshield) which is covered with a rubber cap is the hole for the light sensor. Some maxsym scooters have an auto function for the headlights and that sensor measures the sunlight .

    Hello Max
    Looking for some advice, got the exact same scooter as you and love it.
    Sadly the fuel gauge is not so accurate, ran out of fuel a couple of times. Will not start now, changed plug,battery fused ok.
    Any ideas buddy

      Hi there. Yes, fuel gage suxx big time simply because the fuel tank is asymmetric. I think I mentioned that in one of my videos.
      Yours does not start, despite maintenance.... It is supposed to, if fuel plus oxygen plus spark occur at the same time. If I were in your shoes I would bring it in for some diagnostic at a reputable garage. It might cost a few bucks, but you could possibly doing the fixing yourself. Just an idea. Cheers!

    Thanks for nice video, what’s your height? (You mentioned it in somewhere in reviews) Were you suffering from wind-buffeting ? Did it solve the issue? I watched nearly all of your videos about Max, and trying to understand if it fits for me... thanks in advance..

      Hi TH, I am 1.64, by 58 kgs. Short and lightweight, and 53 years old as well. Max fits me perfectly well, and it is basically the only option in its category.
      The wind screen was meant to have more flexibility, e.g. high screen when travelling on highways and lower when in the city. Buffeting was low before and low now, at more than acceptable levels. If you want to know if Max would fit you, I strongly advise you to try it. Things to check is flat-footing and the ability to put it on the center stand. The rest is to learn.
      Cheers!

      @@francescometalli1004 Thanks, definetly i should try once more, I am 186cm by 100kgs. MaxSym seems a little low on turns handle bar in turns touches to my knees. I think my feet should be on resting forward position to lower my knees. Is it possible to raise handlebars?
      Thanks.

    • @francescometalli1004
      @francescometalli1004  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi TH,
      I don't know about raising the handlebars, good question. I suggest you ask the dealer about it.
      However, given your length you might need to move the rider lumbar support all the way backwards in order to increase space for the legs.
      Also, you could consider the AK550. It's taller than the Maxsym, so out of range for me, and has less loading capabilities, but maybe that could be a better fit for your length and weight. Very curious about your findings, please keep me posted.
      Kind regards
      Francesco

      @@francescometalli1004 I have decided to go with MaxSym I tried once more there is a bit of vibration i noticed after my previous bike the VFR800X was a V4 engine :). Is it normal ?
      Unfortunately we don't have a option as ak550 here. Best available choice for value seems MaxSym for me now. I will try refiting or removing the lumber support when i received mine. Your videos are absolutely helpful for me. Thanks for all.

    • @francescometalli1004
      @francescometalli1004  Před 5 lety

      Hi TH. Yes, I think it is pretty normal. In general, mono-cylinders tend to vibrate a bit more than other engines - however, good news, there is a lot less to maintain and fine tune. In my experience, when riding I don't really notice the difference. Max vibrates much more because of air turbulence and asphalt imperfections than anything else - and those vibrations you get anyway.
      Good luck, let me know how it works out for you. Just remember, it might take a while to get used to a scooter.
      Cheers

    hi Francesco, I also have a 600i in Luxembourg, looking for a deflector where and how much did you pay. I see some on amazon for 40 euro. it's not puig do you think it's comparable.

    • @francescometalli1004
      @francescometalli1004  Před 4 lety

      I don't know... but I would think twice about buying something so cheap. The deflector takes a lot of abuse, and the last thing I would wish for is the thing flying into my face at high speed.

      seems t to be ok so far. I wish the Sym windscreen was a few mil thicker. it buffets quite bit when behind traffic. all in all a good investment. enjoying the long summer. take care all the best.

    How about parts prices in your country. In my country is a mess. 200 euro for belt and more 40 euros for rollers . I think Sym overprice a lot the overhaul services . Not even BMW screw clients like that.

    • @francescometalli1004
      @francescometalli1004  Před rokem

      Prices are high overall I'm afraid. But I doubt BMW prices are any better. It might depend indeed from the country, but here BMW components are absurdity level price. Better times will come! Cheers!
