- Naomi and I head out for a girls afternoon out to hit the dollar tree for back to school savings. While out we also snagged 20 loaves of bread for $1, and find other family savings that make my heart happy. We turned a simple outing into an afternoon adventure. Ever do that?

Nothing wrong with kids learning early. The key to teaching and learning is to have as much fun as possible. You are giving your children a chance to form good educational skills and a love of learning. You are a natural Mum and teacher. I spent a fortune on things for my classroom and I loved it when my students enjoyed a new challenge. Xx

Mommyof3xo it's the air conditioner blowing on the mic. Strong wind will do it that bad too. There are little fluffy things (don't know what the are really called) that stick over the mic that will cancel it out.

My kids that I homeschooled are all grown now. But one of the best investments we made when they were little and we first started out was to order construction paper from Dick Blick art supplies. If you find an online coupon, it could be a lot more economical. We ended up buying large packs of each color, and I swear we still had some sheets of an odd green color after they graduated! It has been a while since I bought them so the price might not be as economical now, but it would be worth a look. I also thought it was funny that your hubby put a ban on markers, but y'all love stickers when my hubby but a ban on stickers but we loved markers.
I just love your videos. Thank you for your sweet encouraging heart for mommies. (PS our dollar tree has bread, too, and the last time I was there they were handing out 75 cents off coupons! As many as you wanted! So I got each loaf for 25 cents!!! That made my day!)

We are considering home schooling our 7 almost 8 year old for various reasons. The main reason we don't home school him already is my husband isn't completely sold on the idea... I couldn't really relate when I would hear people say " the lord put it on my heart too...." But that's exactly how I feel about home schooling!!!i have spent the last 3 years praying over it and my husband is finally thinking about the idea. I'm going to start preschool home schooling my almost 4 year old in the fall and I'm so excited!

I LOVE this haul! Yes, I understand what you mean about the markers. Mine are under lock and key! The bread, major score! We use that brand, and yes as a very large family like our, I appreciate a deal.

Highlighters are an awesome thing, you write lines: \ / and O and let them trace, then do letters/shapes, and also their name. They don't have to do it perfectly, it's just to get pre-writing going well.
(I've used this in my Two's classrooms as an ECE teacher and with my own daughter)

I'm curious to know what age you officially start school (with pressure :)). My 3 year olds insisted on "doing school" last year while brother was doing kindergarten. I did a no pressure approach with them. They keep telling me they miss school.

I'm going to homeschool my 3 year old. I was wondering what subjects I should teach her? I feel like I am over thinking it. I know I'm going to teach letter's, color's, and shape's. Should I also included number's? I don't want to overwhelm her.

I know it's exciting to vlog about what you're doing in your car, but please don't. The air conditioner is interfering with the audio and it sounds awful. The video is almost unwatchable because of the audio.
