Nothing can come near Ford's diesel engine power ..I am missing ford a lot..Feel soo bad for them..They did everything like giving best price cars with lot of features , comfort and power.. 49% of Onroad price goes to Govt pocket in names of various Taxes.
I think manufacturers are forced to take only 1% of profit for their hard work and to maintain vehicle cost should be maintained. Not only ford many manufacturers struggling to make good specification cars because of govt rules and over Tax.
Nowadays we are not getting good engines good vehicles for what we paying. Mistakes are at govt side only

I did a test drive of Altroz Petrol 1.2 XZ and I can see the performance is low.
As you mentioned the diesel engine of Altroz is good I will do a test drive of it as well.
Could you let me know if is it worth buying a diesel car at this point since Maruthi and a few other companies are dropping the diesel engine?
Do we get resale value of diesel engine car in future?
Resale values of diesel cars will be very high in few years as sales has decreased due to difference in on road cost.
So demand will be more and products will be less so resale will be quite high.
For example: Resale value of diesel Swift and Swift desire is way more than petrol versions in market now.
Demand for good reliable diesel engines are always high. (Innova is a good example)

Some new cars of other brands also have issues, as like Tata. My friend's Swift Dzire had a problem on 2nd day of delivery. Central locking circuit blown away. Was in showroom for 15days.
I am owner of altroz 2 years old , Please don't waste your money on altroz, 1) poor performance 2) noise 3) vibration 4) engine performance even in 1st gear i couldn't manage sometimes in hills. 5) poor mileage 15 km.... So please go for alternative like maruti or hundai

As a tata motors customer I will not recommended to buy tata cars because my altroz frequently getting issues ,at 2k kms i getting bearing noise issues and manufacturing defect identified near fender . Chrome is pealing off .much more small issues even though engine sound/refinement is not my concern , i already tired and fed up with the issues and service team giving fake promise and they are not clearing problems which i mentioned , i left the car for 1 week in service station but they didn't resolved i too can't escalate daily they giving only oral speech not showing in action , finally I taken the car with the issues and convinced my self like it's my fate . Please stay away from tata motors who are looking for mechanical reliablity instead of metal strength

As I am a Tata vista customer I will recommend tata cars.
After eleven years and 2,50,000 Km I have not opened my engine. It still give me 20 kmpl and casually running 140 km per hour

Mr. Birla I've been a big fan of your channel for a long time. I really admired your efforts and pain taking for the video. But unfortunately I'm seeing a biased response for Susuki and Hyundai. Even in the past debate video you've not given much chance to altroz owner, mic was literally pulled off even before he completes his answer. Where all the praises about i20 were entertained by you by your encouraging words, which completely stereo typed interview.

I too felt the same about him being biased towards tata and all praise for Hyundai cars. Also reviewers should indeed point out what's wrong with tata cars but at the same time they should also point out that most Hyundai cars are poorly built (I would say tincans with bling). Give credit were its due but also point out what's wrong.
Birla is basically a Hyundai fan boy but he won't accept it. Hope he makes neutral reviews and mentions about crash test ratings or atleast say that these cars are untested so the safety is unknown.
Sir ,pls don't always support Hyundai, they are looting India by giving just gimmicks nothing more than that..

A common man might think like you based on old history of bad customer experiences. But Tata has come a long way since then.
Leave Maruti out. As of late Hyundai is as bad as Tata, but people don't talk about it but cling on to the old history. This is ingrained to the customer.
People should value their life first and buy safe cars first. It's not like Hyundai cannot make good built cars. They can but those cars are exported to other countries from India. They take Indian people for granted which must change.
And tata should improve their after sales and service , and so should Hyundai as they are as bad/good as Tata as of late.
A common man like you and me can cling to the past and have prejudice towards brands but a CZcams reviewer who has massive reach should not have and do proper research.
I respect Birla very much and watch his every video without missing. I just wanted to point out the obvious observation.
I have an Altroz Diesel and I definitely accept what you say. The Pickup, performance, Stability, Steering Control, suspension, Music System and mileage are great, but the NVH levels are high. I love Altroz Diesel.

I am using xz diesel 2023 phase 2 car last six months. Build quality is amazing but 1,2,3rd gear pickup is very less. After 4th gear turbo performance is superb. Highway la semma ya drive pannalam. ❤

Hi sir, please explore and talk about DPF filter problem in BS6 diesel engines.
This is a big maintenance problem in new diesel cars.
You do not worry about DPF, i own a Nexon Diesel BS6 with DPF as Altroz and there is no issues. If you ride too short inside the cities then you need to take a long drive above 60KMPH for about 15-25mins.

Neenga petrol turbo try panunga, it is more pepier...I am in Chennai only sir, naan vena user review kodukren for tata Altroz iTurbo And the 3 cylinder vibration is there in turbo petrol but it is distributing, and the handling is so sweet...

If you spent 1 more lakh, you can go for XUV 300 W6 Diesel. Its Value for money and safest car. NVH is awesome.
Powerful package. But Tata has to long way to go in terms of engineering in automatic, shedding away Amts and doing AT or CVT for enthusiasts.
They have a DCA. DCA with a powerfull will be a best combination. Don't know will this come in future.

how torque is different from bhp? can you give some examples/scenarios?
Torque means how fast you reach a particular speed like 80 or 90 BHP means what is the top Speed your car can reach
Try driving a low torque (below 70) car at 100 kmph and try a high torque (above 110) car at 100 kmph.. you will notice a big difference in pickup.. speed momentum and acceleration
Another simple example is driving 100 kmph in maruti alto will be equivalent to driving at 60 kmph in a Honda City..
Consider a lorry with full 20 tons having a 150BHP engine and 600NM torque. That engine can pull that weight easily but does not go beyond 70KMPH. So BHP is directly linked to top speed. Torque is directly linked to the time taken to reach that top speed.

To check Petrol consumption what is the best method. I'm aware you have i10 Kappa (Automatic). I understand the tank capacity is 35ltrs. The fuel level is shown as 10lines.. Can i consider 1 line as 3.5 ltrs ? Please advise.
Empty your car tank completely and fill just one litre of petrol or diesel and drive around 10 or 20 kms within city limits and with that you can guess the exact consumption per km. (Don't try this on highways as you will risk yourself with empty tank somewhere middle of road)
Full tank method is best way.
Fill ip the tank. Reset trip meter to 0.
Drive till the tank is 1/4th full
Note the km driven
Fill up again to full tank. Note the litres needed to fill the tank in petrol pump
Now divide the km driven by litres filled

In Tata Nexon, Tata Punch as well as in Tata Altroz, models with FATC (Fully Automatic Climate Control) in Auto mode, will it automatically switch the air circulation mode between internal and external periodically ? Means will it pull fresh air from outside periodically so that we will have both the desired temparature as well as the Oxygen saturation (fresh air) inside the car perfectly ? Can some friends who own the car clarify and confirm please ?

Please create an awareness video about compulsorily using turn indicators in cars and bikes. 75% of bikers and 40% of car users do not use turn indicators. 50% of Bike/moped/scooters are not having proper turn indicators/back red light/brake lights. Also, overspeeding on highways is evident every day causing accidents.
Same engine in nexon giving 110 bhp i think, better they give 110 instead of 88 bhp here so we feel like a high pickup car ang more will buy instead of polo, better launch 110 ps altroz as new GT line, if that happen means sales will double or triple for sure

Need opinion to buy used car whether i can buy or not ..Fixed Price 1,95,000 , model I10 era base model and NO extra fitting showroom condition, year 2009 October , single owner, 26500km driven , insurance till Aug and, TN07 registration , Car owner is working in my company but he went USA for 2010 to 2016 and last 2 year corona lockdown so car not used much ..He didn't service in Hyundai and serviced by Hyundai trained mechanic for last 2 years in local set and serviced March month. And one of know mechanic driven and said CAR is good condition ..Car owner is again going to USA, So selling
