Owning Altroz Diesel XZ+ for a year now. Odo is 24K kms. Went many long trips including Cbe - Goa - Cbe. The vehicle performance and stability is top notch. I love the car and it's drivability. As mentioned in the video there are few niggles in it. No on/off switch for traction control, Less pickup in first gear, delay in accelerator pedal. Other than that Service centers should improve a lot in many aspects. Tata should concentrate more on after sales service
accelerator lag is mainly fueling issues. its present in many tata cars. even my 2017 tiago petrol has the same issue. a remap or ecu update can solve this problem.
Dashboard la iruka silver panel and infotainment system la irundh andha mild sound varum.

It's good in crysta. But it's up to you to upgrade.
Well summarised, It's surprising how can they not address that accelerator lag present still from it's initial batches.. Kindly consider reviewing Citroen C3 Turbo if you get a chance. I hear its also a driver's delight engine..

Am using petrol XM pluz frm last 1 yr, long drive la Sema comfort but hills la erum pothu with AC la rmpa struggle aguthy even 1st gear la kuda move pana mudiyala.. Engine off agirm after ac off panitu tha poga vendi iruku... Same time ac podala na fog accumulate agi window visible kammiya agirum... That one main issue my experience... Any solution bro?
Altroz petrol engine lag is a known issue bro. Off the AC and roll down windows to avoid fogging. To improve engine performance, need to do some mods, but it will affect your warranty.

If you plan to buy altroz, Go for diesel.
If the diesel ban comes to action, there won't be any issue with existing diesel cars. After 2027 if diesel bans comes live people can't by diesel cars after that time.

Bro I have the same Altroz 1.5L XZ (O). I'm facing a similar issue where you have highlighted sound from Dashboard when checked with SA, they told it may be from AC duct. Have to check in the next service. Please let me know if you are able to find the root cause of this sound.

LED'S ARE POWERFULL, BUT NIT GOOD FOR NIGHT VISION THOSE DRIVING AS WELL AS TO THE OPPENENTS TOO.

You are correct, in the case of altroz it uses a lean nitrous strap ( a type of emission control that doesn't require add blue) which is enough for an engine with 1500cc and below

If safety is the concern, go for altroz. But my suggestion go for diesel, as the petrol engine is low powered. But if you are not a heavy footed driver, you don't want a peppy engine then you can buy altroz petrol.
Reg nexon already there is a petrol mt 6 speed option. You can try this also if you can increase your budget.
The new engine you mentioned, are you talking about tatas new tgdi engine. It will take time to get launched.
Or if you want engine refinement go for i20 petrol
How is the drivability of the engine? is it punchy or linear?
Engine is between the both. I feel the engine is more capable but it is limited to be linear.

Buying Petrol or Diesel car is upto your liking and usage style. But in regard with diesel ban, now it's too soon to comment on it. Resale value might get affected. But it may be in a positive way or even negative way. Resale value of good diesel engine cars may increase also. Already seen this scenario in swift diesel. In 2020 after BS6 maruthi stopped diesel engine but it impacted in price hike of used diesel maruthi cars. So it depends
Reg FC renewal, govt is in process to build fitness centers. by that time fitness centers will come into action and only the vehicles which passes that fitness test will get FC. Petrol or diesel doesn't matter.

Initially i faced problems in negotiating a speed breaker in second gear later on it was a piece of cake once you used to it.
Using add blue solution does not directly correlate with engine CC it actually depends on the system use in emission control (SCR / lean nitrous strap)
