Do you agree? I got And then ask 23 ultra,and I just slotted Google messages. Looked. Was? Samsung's. New look? How long today and go to the end of my app? Drawer on this phone and see the old messages the way. It looks on my Note 9 which I just still haven't switched over from yet. Call it it looks. The same which I'm used to which would actually had any move in to this. New phone a lot? Faster and like? You said it's pretty customizable I like it. I was just saying to the guy they made the video call mom if you can go into your apps to select your defaults were.
If. Whichever you decided would put it in your Home screen and she wanted to switch back. You would take it back and put in the opera and switch it back to your home. Screen so you would have to mess around but anyways. I'm talking texts speech here,and it's wondering Send me a texts on why you like Samsung messages better making. Me? An idea? Of what? I wanna go with,google is stock on the page so the probably start with that but probably and I'm going to Samsung In a week. Like I said I think it would be totally dope whichever default echoes. It would move it right back to your Home screen and if you wanted to switch it it would move it back to the operator so you would have to go. I gotta say, as a longtime Android user, I like Google messaging simply because you can like other people's text messages just like iPhone but on Samsung messaging, you can't do that

Google and Samsung worked together to make Samsungs messaging app. So Samsung Messenger is Basically Google Messenger.

@@DrezzyEFTP If you're switching over just so you can put an emoji on someone else's comment than you forgot the purpose of a messaging app. You could do that same thing just by sending an emoji in response. Samsung messaging has a better way to organize your messages so you're able to find it easier as well as customization options that Google messaging doesn't have. That makes more sense to have than simply being able to put a thumbs up one someone message when you can simply just send a thumbs up in response. The app should make messaging easier and more convient. Not have minimal difference that most people don't care about.
You can read more lines when typing a long text when using Samsung compared to Google and the one hand usability is better with Samsung but oddly enough receiving a text on a galaxy watch is better with Google,it lets you know each time who is texting without jumping right into conversation mode if that makes any sense.

Both app icons look very similar. How can a user determine which is Samsung and which is Google if they are both loaded on a new phone?
Google Messages icon is simple. Samsung Messages icon is more stylised. Also Google Messages icon has a white background while the other one has blue.
When I try Samsung messages the Chat feature is available to other Samsung rcs phones but not phones with google messages and the other way around when using google messages. Is this normal? I thought rcs was supposed to be universal.

One thing to note is that if you transfer text messages to a new phone, the advanced messages for Samsung messages will transfer but aren't visible on other messages apps. However, RCS from Google messages convert into MMS for other messages apps such as Samsung messages. This was the deal breaker for me to make the switch to Google messages
I've noticed this as well. But I didn't notice I was using Google messaging instead of samsung for about a month. I tried transferring back to Samsung messaging and it wouldn't even recognize the new numbers I had saved to the cloud. My question is. Do samsung phones not back up any other messages than samsung messages ? So if you use Google and you get a new phone all texts are lost ?

So what u r saying is if I have new numbers from my old Galaxy Note 9 they will be lost since it's switching systems? yeah i use poco phone and feel good for it if i switch to Samsung wont complain because i use easy just practically calling and recieving call
True but this was on my phone And I didn't due any switching. I just woke up and said let me delete those messages because they had so e info I didn't want just sitting there. But when I went to look. They were just gone.
Samsung messages has a very clear indicator of the number of people in a conversation. Goggles has a convoluted message that says "and 6 more". That is a waste of space and tough on the eye to scan and has a mental burden to count the number already listed and add the "more" amount.

About a month ago Samsung Messages wasn't sending out my texts so I downloaded Google Messages. It worked fine for about 2 weeks but then Google messages started overheating my phone and draining my battery for some reason. I have an older S8+. Anybody know why?

Samsung has message categories that you can pick (family, friends, contractors,etc). Google messages doesn't have this which is a huge drawback to me.
And also Samsung you can customize which is a big plus for me. Different people have different wall colors. There is family group and so on.
My problem is "STREAM" Texting/Messeging : DELETING OR EDITING Groups so others will not keep getting everyones responses . Please help, recommendations welcome.

I'm really upset I hear that Google and Samsung collaborated together and I believe that's why my Samsung text app after Sunday's update went crazy. I could only send pictures but the word text messages Weren't being received. I could receive messages from my contact but couldn't reply I called Samsung and T-Mobile. I feel because the S22 phones carry Google messages that the note 20 ultra that I have is being forced to use it because the other stock Samsung Galaxy app is not working properly😳😢

I've used both. Samsung's text app is cleaner to me. With easier customization for each contact. Google looks like a plain list. I like the separation. You can swipe to text or call on certain higher end phones. The only thing I wish it offered is the emoji response, but I can do that myself.
Samsung Keyboard is more stylish and modern. Google Keyboard is simple and straightforward.
I prefer samsung messages I love the customisations and the fact you can categorise your messages and i can send photos and attachments to everyone unlike on google messages which can only be sent to a few

I love google messages. My z flip 3 I used samsungs. Now I'm on flip 4. I use googles. It's working better than it did on the flip 3
IWhen I silence a text group and don't want any notifications it worked better in Samsung msgs than it did in Google. In Google I still received pop up notifications

I prefer Google Messages except for one thing that’s a killer for me : asking for MMS delivery reports. All my previous (non-android) phones used to handle that, but it’s gone with Google Messages. Samsung Messages handles this, hence I use Samsung Messages. If anyone knows how to activate MMS delivery reports on Google Messages (if it’s even possible), please tell me !
After you send a google message you will see a small check mark near the message One ☑️ check mark means it was sent and two ☑️ ☑️ means it was delivered

why's everyone so excited about googles message app?samsung bloatware do it's job just fine and NOT require surf ...googles DOES need to be in sync...; without surf it can take time to get messages through - samsung does it for 'free' (your carrier, not your phone/samsung, takes care of it. no things are free - but some thing will work without additional costs like using Google message app....)

Samsung does have swipe features if you go inside the settings.. also Samsung's category feature is far superior and keeps your text messages way more clean and easy to access.
I don't think Samsung Messages has the swipe feature. I do like its category option, though. It keeps things organised.

Well, if you are using RCS Chat Features, you can still send HD videos (up to 105 MB). If it's larger, you can use Google Photos or a different cloud platform.

Samsung keyboard does have gifs. Tap on the three dots on the right corner of the keyboard toolbar tab at the top of the keyboard (If the toolbar tab is not visible, you may enable it from the settings). A drop down menue will appear with the gif icon. You can then drag it up to the toolbar tab that's always visible for easy access. Hope it helps.

Yup! It's a strong feature of G Messages.
Samsung supports bubble chats now and it's better than Google. I've tested both and I only like 1 feature Samsung doesn't have, message reaction. I hope it's added soon!
I honestly don't think Samsung will put much effort into its messaging app. They are pushing Google Messages, which is pre-installed on many Samsung phones.

Yes, you can change the messaging app at any time. Your messages are saved on the device, so you will see the latest messages on both apps.

Do you mean the dark mode? Unfortunately, in Samsung apps, there is no separate dark mode option. You will need to enable the device's dark mode. With that, all Samsung apps will have dark mode. Hope it helps.

On Android, Google Messages is the default app. However, Samsung phones also have Samsung Messages installed, so the users can use either.

I don't know why that could be happening. Try clearing the app caches by going to the app settings. Is it just happening with Google Message? Can you try a different app?
@@mks-mobile I tried clearing the cache and nothing came back. I switched to Samsung messenger but it retrieved what was already there. I tried uninstalling Google and re-installing but still it wouldn't get them back.

Result : 100 messages were matched containing KEYWORD ,

Action : Try to BULK delete them all at once .
Result : Failed 💯%💯 ,You will have to to delete them one by one !!! !!! !!! !!! 😤
This is not the case with Samsung Messages .

I have been using Android for a long time, and some Google apps such as Messages and Gboard are still new. Google may have the technology, but it needs more experience in creating universal Android apps.
Can't believe you didn't mention that Google Messages has no legitimate method of organizing conversations via categories. The "auto-categories" only separates auto-messages into "Business". So annoying.

On some devices, changing the home wallpaper does the trick. Find a blue-colored wallpaper and change your home wallpaper. See if that works.
The only reason why I go with Samsung Messages is the UI. I want my device to be cohesive and continual.

Did I haven't switched over the SIM card yet? , is because I didn't know Google messages was. Stock,i thought it was just samsung's new look. I noticed the smoky Gray background,i came home tonight. I noticed on my 23 ultra messages. Look The Way it was at the very end of all my apps and went into it and I was like it is Different. That's what I decided to look and found that. Google messages in Samsung messages are actually a thing.i. Think that I would remove into this phone faster if I had selected Samsung messages. The color of my bubbles are the same. The dark background that you talk about is the same. It's very easy to move into new phone when it feels a little bit like a last one. And that would actually move me into my phone. Probably 2 weeks faster.however ED bring up some good points. I'll give it a shot. I'm glad that Samsung messages are still around but I will probably be discontinued at some point but. You have to have Samsung Keyboard (or another supported keyboard) for that. On its own, Samsung Messages does not support GIFs.

I use the GBoard and Samsung keyboard. Maybe I'm not fully understanding how you meant that.
@@MackDonald With that, I meant to say that Google Messages has a separate GIF option. Samsung Messages does not have that. Samsung Messages supports sending GIFs, but you will need a keyboard app that supports GIFs. Also, S Messages supports receiving and displaying GIFs.

I have a Samsung S23 ultra, so you'd figure that the technology would be better. I switched from Google messaging to Samsung messaging because i had to constantly restart my phone when trying to send messages or images, which still barely worked. Well, Samsung messaging is no better, I can't react to messages at all. And to think I wanted the new Samsung phone, NOT!

Your chart comparison is wrong. Samsung message do support GIFs, I used it several times. And they are easy to access.
I'm pretty sure you are using Samsung Keyboard. Samsung Messages only supports GIFs when the Samsung Keyboard is active.

This review was a bit inaccurate, most of the things you stated samsung didn't provide, they did and for a while before this video, the search in messages feature being better on the Google side that's it and only regarding the conversation view. Samsung has so many features packed in that's its literally unfair to even have this debate.
I'm a regular user of Samsung Messages. I might have missed a couple of features, but in terms of features, Samsung Messages is not as good as Google Messages. It. however, looks and feels fancy and has some unique options like categories, quick responses, and filters.
@@mks-mobile the integration with samsung messages is insane, think about it, what's available once your in the messages app, you have Google features that Google doesn't have, you have search functions unheard of throughout each transition, you have stickers galore, spam privacy features , media sharing features galore, most people just don't know or pay attention. But it's ok we utilize em. Thing is with tech most people don't explore, but when your making a judgement on something its quite important, even if you don't plan to use them or have a preference against it.
Stickers --> Google Messages has them. In fact, in Samsung Messages, you can only use stickers when Samsung Keyboard is enabled.
