  • This incredibly delicious fish curry is infused with protein, omega-3 fatty acids and spices.
    Ingredients for marination
    1 kg Tilapia Fish pieces
    1 tbsp kashmiri chili powder
    1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    1/2 tsp salt (salt to taste)
    Ingredients needed for puree
    2 tbsp oil
    1/2 tsp cumin seeds
    2 onion diced
    1/2 tbsp crushed ginger and garlic
    2 tomatoes sliced
    1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
    1/2 tbsp hot chili powder
    1/2 tbsp coriander powder
    1/2 tsp garam masala
    3 tbsp coconut
    For curry:
    2 tbsp oil
    2 sprig curry leaves
    2 green chili crushed
    1/4 tsp fenugreek powder
    1 piece kerala tamarind (soaked in sal and water)
    2 cup water
    Step by step method
    Marinate fish with ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder and salt. Shallow fry the fish.
    Heat oil in a pan and add cumin. When they splutter add onions and saute until lightly translucent.
    Add ginger garlic paste and saute for 30 seconds. Add tomatoes and salt. Add coconut and tomotoes, Saute until tomatoes turn soft.
    Add red chili powder, coriander powder, saute until the raw smell goes.
    Let it to cool and add to a mixi jar along with water. Blend smoothly. Keep aside.
    Heat the pan with oil and shallow fry the fish pieces.
    Add oil to the earthen pot oil used to fry earlier.
    Add curry leaves, crushed green chilies and ginger garlic paste. And then the ground paste with pinch turmeric powder, fenugreek and kerala tamarind. Stir a minute.
    Pour two cup water and mix. Add the fish pieces. Cook until the oil begins to separate and the gravy thickens.
    We can adjust the taste that is needed.
    Serve with rice or roti.
