At first glance when saw a thumbnail i thought "did Erin just Klippeled a washing machine" :D

The 12s is definitely one of the better performing subs under $1000. I would have been completely happy with a pair if I didn't already have PSA subs. Regarding the size, it is within a couple inches in HxWxD of a PSA EV1813, it's huge for a 12".

Great review. Just bought and installed (2) SVS SB2000's and absolutely love them. Your data and detail in review is why people ask for you to review speakers & subs that can find other reviews on. It's your credibility and trust they look for. You are one of the best out there because you blend data, with real world application.

As far as underrated subs go, why is it that Rythmik subs is so big in the underground/enthusiast scene but so few people that actually review their subs w/ measurements.

  • @dougg1075

Dude we live vicariously through reviews , we will watch reviews of the same component a dozen times

  • @chrisbarry9345

Its a 12 though... I come from home theater in the past and can't understand how 12s are taken seriously

  • @raulgarcia1718

If the size of the 12S is an issue I would strongly consider the RSL 10S as a viable alternative. It won’t the same performance as the 12S but it will hold its own, and the possibility of using 2 10s’ isn’t out of the picture. I actually have one of the original 10s subs in my 24x13x8 living room I have no need for a second sub.

  • @Lowkey_nxthxn

Can you review the Polk HTS 12s

  • @Smellslikegelfling

What are your thoughts on sealed subs for a living room home theater? Ive read a lot of opinions that say that ported is preferred for lower extension, but something like the SB3000 has a good amount of output for the size.

  • @crazydwarfer

It's a pity you cannot buy those in Europe (manufactured in Europe). Buying in US, and shipping to Ukraine (haha, not even speaking about the war raging in our country now) takes $230 for shipping and then taxes (calculated from price+shipping), $799+230=$1029+(20%VAT+10%ImportDuty)=$1337,70 as a final price plus shipping. US and UK are really a choice of living for a Home Theater Enthusiast :)

I just purchased my 4th Klipsch SPL-120 for my 14' x 20' x 8' living room home theater. The previous 3 were 1/4 wall placed with two up front and one in back. This new one has to be right-rear corner loaded due to furniture. My good friend with two PB-1000 in a room slightly smaller likes my bass with three subs much better than his. We both can't understand the hate my subs get from the community. The fact all four cost me a total of $1700 USD is awesome. Anyways...I REALLY wanted to go to two RSLs instead of 4 Klipsch but I live in Europe. Seeing this review makes me jealous even though what I have is great by objective (REW measured and balanced) and subjective standards. The thirst for "new and better" never ends it seems.

  • @timomy8

Thanks Erin allays appreciate the time you take to dig into the technical and why speakers do what they do :)

  • @shipsahoy1793

yeah .. what you said Erin about different rooms is the exact reason why I bought a subwoofer for HT sound based on your data when you did the subwoofer shootouts a couple years ago..😉

  • @sirdan357

This is definitely something I'll consider when I want to upgrade my sub.

  • @johnanderson1536

I just ordrered this sub a few days ago based on strong reviews from just about everyone. This further validates my purchase! Thanks! lol.

  • @ChizzleDizzle1000

I went back and forth with subs and I landed on dual RSL Speedwoofer 12S and I love em!

  • @davel4449

Soooooooo happy that you did this review yes I saw the others but yours is important also

  • @SteebMo

Perfect timing! I've been digging through all the available data and honestly the 12s competes squarely with the SVS PB-2000 Pro, which is quite a bit more expensive, especially for 2. Still would love to see a photo of the 2 of them right next to each other. SVS is a bit narrower, but is longer... RSL is taller, wider and more 'square' while SVS has rounded corners. Both are right at the limit of what will physically fit in my room, and I certainly don't want to have to return either!

    Thanks Erin,, 👍‍‍🌟👍‍‍

  • @user-mz6lt2pr9s

Thanks for a sub review. I have a pair of SVS SB1000 Pros for my 2.2 channel music system and they really fill in the bottom for rock and electronic music. At only $900 US for the pair and with the control with the SVS app they’re a great sub system IMO. Peace, love and music!
