Nice tip about using the comb to measure the difference from side to side.
I thought that getting out the tape measure was a little TOO TOO....right?
@@BerzinskyRules one needs not just a tape measure, but a laser level.
I trim my beard at home because ain’t nobody got time to pay a barber for a small trim😂 but seriously it helps at lot to learn to trim it there’s a lot of trial and error but once you find your comfort beard then you’re good to go 😁
My dad lets me trim his beard for free sometimes 🙂
Every man should know how to be his own barber when it comes to facial hair, but that's my opinion.
and hopefully the nuts too. we've all cut our balls at least 3 times@@josephjester4917
Love how thorough Greg is. He covers all the bases.
I’ve seen Greg with really long hair and thought it looked great but I’ve never seen him with a “really” long beard. It would be interesting to see him grow a 2 year beard.
Keep the full beard Greg, no one rocks it as glorious as you do
Another great video again Greg. Classic.
I really like watching you Greg trimming your Beard, because I feel you really go in deep in explaining how to trim or at least how you do it ' explained really well. Beard on Greg
I appreciate your experience and candid deliverance.
Always great to watch your videos Greg!
Share with a friend who needs a trim
Greg I have the exact same hair growth as you and the patches! I also can’t grow anything on my neck and it stops where yours does. I’ve always seen it as a positive not having to shave my neck. Great advice as always!
I am used to Greg a few years ago where he is grey but the white hair look honestly looks absolutely fabulous!
Always great videos man. Cheers from Brazil.
That comb marking tip was great, thanks!
looks great as usual bud. keep it up!
Love the videos just recently been diving in to taking care of my beard and mustache really hard core and thanks to you guys ive started training my mustache to curl and doing better at just keeping my beard
I love the way you explain and do!
You can pull anything off, but your big beards are the best!👊🏽
Great video as always! 👍🏼. Would be nice to see you rockin’ the beardstache. I’m going for the yeard myself. Little more than 5 months in now 😅.
Greg you do a big beard proud man!
I have a curly thick full beard (white/gray, approaching 68 yrs old), I have tried several times cutting/trimming my own beard. I have not been able to pull off what you do--I tend to make a mess😬.
Very helpful starter. Thank you.
I love the white hair on Greg, it fits him very well.
Nice haircut Mr Berzinsky. Looks sharp.
Greg, great job! Great tips!
You bet
Awesome video. You have smooth beard, but I have rough beard. Maintaining little bit difficult.
You are officially my favorite. Finally a man who can use scissors
I’d like to see you with a ‘modern beard’ style which is a bit shorter and slightly faded towards the sideburns. You’re hairstyle should then match-up as well of course! Hope you’ll give it a try 👍
I never knew guys worry so much about bears or hair til i came across this channel ! I guess because I italian and we have lots of hair
Beautiful work 👏😁👏
Looks great the way it is!
I got long hair and long beard. Not sure how to keep that good together. Definitely need to trim my beard, but not sure at how long or short would be good since my hair reaches the bottom of my beard. Saw videos about both, but never together. They're always about either long hair or beard lengths, nvr seen 1 about having them together
SCARY , you make it look sooooo easy.
I hope you are in good health Greg
The biggest thing younger men need to understand about beard trimming is that mistakes happen. Sometimes you cut a little too much here or there, but it's a lot easier to live with a small screwup for a couple of weeks than it is to start over from scratch.
The more trimming you do, the better you get at it, and the screwups lessen and/or you learn how to minimize the damage done.
Also, depending on the style of beard you keep can determine the tools you use to trim it. For me, I can maintain the look of my beard and stache with all electric gear.
I have a Schick Quattro that does nothing but collect dust, and the last can of shaving cream I bought the propellant in the can leaked out, leaving me a wasted can of shaving cream since it wouldn't come out of the can. 😂
Great job.
Your beard is perfect now. I like it like it is or a little bit longer. I don't think that a mustache would be as attractive or any other style. I think that you have found your ideal style. Would that all of us could be so blessed! 😊
You could use a trimmer or a zeroed clipper instead of the shears. Shears for details.
Is trimming the mustache using the thirds method a good idea if you wear curls? I mean leave everything except the hair between your nostrils alone. Or does leaving it help with the curls? I’ve had some difficulty lately when kissing, my significant other stops to move my mustache hair off my lip 🙈. So trying to compromise without changing my style too much. Any advice? Thanks!
Awesome video!! It was satisfying to see you trim your beard down. You look fantastic as usual with a shorter beard! I’ll always see you as a full bearded guy but I’d recommend trying just the mustache look out. I was going with the Mustache look for a while. Personally it’s been my 2nd favourite look for a couple years. I’m currently on starting to grow a new beard back. It would be cool and interesting to see you try the look out!
I would love to see you with a solo chevron, full and thick. I think that thick but neat mustache style would look awesome on you. Especially if you paired it with a neat, high and tight type of haircut.
Greg is the defenition of manly
In my opinion Greg that shorter beard style suits you very well.
He may have patchy spots in his growth, but he can pull of a long beard better than me and my patch-free face.
Legend
What's the name of that razor tool Greg used to trim his sideburns? I feel like we could get some precise designs with this tool 😮
Against the solo moustache!
I get the whole using the neck hair to make the beard look thicker thing, I totally do, but the thing is for me tidy is more important than thick. Just my personal preference, and I respect other people preferring different things
I've seen a lot of guys that don't trim the hair on their neck and I often think their beards would look better if they did.
I personally keep my beard trimmed fairly short, and I shave my neck all the way to my jawline, otherwise I wind up looking like I have a double chin.
@@josephjester4917trust me, you probably look like u have more of a double chin if your shaving directly under your jaw
@@vperkv6554 nope. I’ve gone both ways. Trust me, I know what I’m doing for my face.
Cool tutorial... I just need Zeus beard now...
My beard on the left side is straight, right side it's wavy, how do you trim with wavy hair? Thanks
A no. 3 guard beard would look good 👍.
I think that you should try the scruffy circle beard (I mean like Tom Hardy in Taboo)
You should go for the solo moustache Greg!
Live once and you pull any style off to be fair.
It's gotta be the beardstache next. You gotta do it.
looks great my mate
Greg, l think that it’s time for you to nail the solo moustache.
Liked the beard best before the trim. To me the length he trimmed to is that awkward middle phase, not quite a longer beard with good shape, but not short and clean either.
Great video as always Greg.. I think personally (Because ive never see you wear one) would love to see the Stand-Alone moustache. I hope this comment finds yourself, Your family and your distinguished beard family, well safe and happy. Much love from the UK, RD
Thank you for the well wishes. One Vote for the SOLO STACHE----any others?
You'll never see me with a solo stache look, because that's my Dad's look and I would look exactly like him to the point it makes me laugh. haha
@@josephjester4917 Good genes mate ;) I have the same problem.
@@RockDodger my Dad is the inspiration why I sport facial hair, but I will not copy his look. The minimum I will trim my look down to is stache and goatee...if I trim it down to stache, I will trim it all the way down to clean shaven, and it’s been so long since I’ve been clean shaven I’ve forgotten what my face looks like underneath. lol
Is this vid post op or pre op? Hope all went well
Beardstache sounds like a plan bro
Hope this year is pain free GB. All the best. 🙏🏻
I wanna see you with a handlebar mustache. Go for the Hulk Hogan look 😅
A couple variations on the way to just the mustache would be interesting to see…
Bring down the sideburns and do it with a fade a little bit, but not too low
It would take quite a long time, but go for a Gandalf the grey beard, or Dumbledore beard. Close to the waist, if possible, or hitting terminal length.
I used to work with a guy who could go from clean shaven to Duck Dynasty in 3 months.
Keep on growing, Greg
What are your thoughts on plucking cheek hairs instead of shaving? At first, it's kinda painful (nothing too bad), but after a while you get used to it. Biggest bonus of course is the decreased regrowth speed of the plucked hairs, plus I'm more accurate with tweezers than I am with a(n automatic) razor.
Do not pluck your hairs out! 🤦🏻♂️
Lots of bad things can happen.
@@wayne2150 Like what? I mean the hairs way above my cheek line btw, maybe I wasn't clear enough lol
yeah I do that too. Instead of them growing back after 3-4 days of shaving, plucking gets rid of them for way over a week.
Stubble beard or Circle beard!
What comb is that ? Looks good ... Didnt like the wood comb I recently ordered
Try a Kent A FOT comb. They're pricey, but wood combs don't hold a candle to them.
Greg I have seen you with your many styles. Try one you haven't done let your beard grow long.
Definitely need to try a smaller mustache,
Guy Fawkes!
Great info Greg…how about the circular van dyke for your next experiment
Big moustache with executive length beard would look cool.
Grow the beard you want Greg but you can really pull off the Santa/Father Time beard.
Greg sounds like a disappointed dad when he says, "You need to learn to trim your beard"
I forgot to mention what Beard Greg Brezinski should come in with next. I'd like to see the return of the Big long Beard ' but seriously go with what you are comfortable with
Its Feb 4th 2024 . I love your videos Greg! My beard is a medium beard . My story is similar to yours. I have started many beards and made it to 30 to almost 60 days. I shave it off and then regret it because I never let it grow to its potential. This new year I started on January 1st and I am determined to make it to July1st. At that time I will have a good idea of what kind of beard I have and then I will either trim or go for the Yeard. Thanks for all the inspiration. You da man! PS: I would like to see you keep the sides tight and let the goatee grown long! I think you would look great!
If I have a recommendation for you Greg I’ve never seen you with a circular goatee not sure if it would work with the bald patches but completely up to you if you choose to trim it
I agree, it would be interesting 😎
My GO-TO was always a circle beard. My patchy areas lend themself to that style.
Sea Salt Spray!
The clipping sound of that scissors 😮😮
I was listening to it myself!
I once snipped my ear lobe with a scissor. Never again!
How are the vertebra doing, sir?
Its already been a month! And I am feeling better with every day especially with PT.
Grizzly Adams beard
Greg is such a handsome individual I hope I age this well
Yes Greg keep your nose hairs white. Don’t worry about it.
And keep an executive beard please!
Hope you're doing good Greg
Four weeks post surgery.....and things are looking better every day
@@BerzinskyRules awesome to hear!
I need to learn cause i dont want to be paying every 3 weeks. Even if i become a pro trimming my own i wouldn't become a professional.
Do a kratom beard style.
BALD with a goatee
No stubble beard! Why go through that awkward phase all over again! I personally will not trim my beard shorter than 13 mm (1/2 inch). Works for me!
No shorter than 3/4" for my beard, if I'm not growing my beard out to the length of my cutline (which is the bottom inside edge of my jawbone).
Bring the solo moustache/beardstache on!
Dear your are my lost hope ...
Please reply..
You HV good hair I can trust you...
Please tell which shampoo u use... And in how many days...
This will be a good advice for my live...
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨😚🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
What kind of straight razor did you use?
It would be interesting to see Greg rocking a beardstache
Dan dyke would be good
I vote for stubble beard with a full mustache.
Ditch the white and let the salt and pepper grow.
DO A MOHALK ON THE MOLON
Greg get a buzz cut
Like the length of this , but not really a fan of the white beard. (Respectfully) I do like the salt and pepper u had before. This is what I sport, but I am also 72 yrs old.
Carlos mustache look great.
Think a Van Dyke would suit you.
Dont go shorter it nice how it is ..
I wonder if his face hurts squinting like that
