I am russian and surprisingly it is impossible to find good content about long male haircuts and beards i my native language. I have decided to grow long hair but thankful to your channel i have understood that it is possible to have beautiful beard too! I have bald areas in my beard and now I understood, that I can just cover them up by lenght... I couldn't have guessed before and now it seems obvious! Thank you for your content!

    Good video!
I think for people like me with rough slightly curly/wavy beards it can be a bit more tricky though. I would need to use a hairdryer to show my true length and cut it then, but the next day it might look off or shorter than I had in mind because that's not how my beard sits all the time and I'm not comfortable using heat every day.
Cutting it without showing the true length can equally be bad because you're not really sure how much you take off.
I guess it all comes down to experience. I messed up enough times to avoid the things that doesn't work for me haha

I haven't cut anything on my beard in 8 months and don't plan to until after 12. At that point I'll probably get a professional to do the first trim. After that, when I work through my hesitation in doing it myself, I'll come back to this video. It's very methodical. I love it!

@@malik32345 I never gained enough courage to do it myself. After 12 months of no trimming I found a barber to trim my beard. I really loved how she trimmed it. Plus, the difference of going from no trimming for a year to something done really good was so dramatic that quite honestly I couldn't stop looking at my beard when I got in front of a mirror. I loved it! The vanity part slowly faded but since the trim was only $10 plus a tip, I just put it in the budget. Now I go once a month and get a professional trim. Sorry, Greg. 😛

Great job supporting the bearded lifestyle by building a solid positive community. I get frequent compliments on my beard and I always drop your guys name. Had a few at my workplace actually refer to me as that ship station guy cause apparently I look a bit like Eric? I will say in regards to this vid, I go trimmer for my trimming instead of scissors. I got a more curly beard and I don't use a blow dryer so it's more so hedge trimming a bit but have been able to get great results. Scissors is for the mustache

Emulsifying is taking, say an oil and another liquid like water which will usually not mix and combining them into a new substance where they are combined forever. I worked once running an emulsifier. A giant tank with steam jets and an an insanely fast mixer that spun so quickly it screamed like a jet engine. All this to make cosmetics. I don’t know what melting something POSSIBLY previously emulsified in your hands is but what it is NOT is emulsification. Having said all this …loved this video. A real keeper for future reference.
