I agree 💯% regarding your opinion that Freddie is the greatest singer in rock. There were other great singers but none had Freddie’s vocal range or stage presence and I’m saying this even though I’m a massive Led Zep fan too

Totally agree with you..each of the band members are multi talented they write their own songs and music and Freddie was a born showman with a voice from heaven..Hs is so loved and missed..as are the whole band. Great reaction. I agree completely. Freddie was all talent! The rest of Queen were amazing too. I don't think you have done the Queen at Live Aid 1985. Considered by many the greatest live performance ever. It was a benefits concert, with many greats but they stole the show. Also, for a really fun video, do the official video of Queen, I want to break free (its also a great song) - a parody of a local English soap of the time.

Thanks, Karen - I love his collaborations with "Montsy" - Golden Boy is amazing.. but I also Love, Love, "How can I go on" -- czcams.com/video/ksNoe8W2jTc/video.html partly because of how happy and thrilled she looks... I read that she said Freddie showed her "freedom" - which, I guess you can understand -- she was a world-class soprano - and opera was all about "precision and perfection -- on the notes, the timing, etc." - so one can well imagine the fun she had with Fred!

I agree with you 100%. Freddie and Queen are the best. My first concert was Led Zeppelin in 1976. I also saw Queen that same year, and also a lot of other bands through the years. Queen with Freddie were the best concerts to me. I went to several of their concerts and loved them all. Led Zeppelin was also really good but as a young teenager Queen sounded even better than their albums. That was something that a lot of bands didn't have. I have also seen Queen with Adam Lambert and while he is a very good singer, the shows are not the same. I still liked the concert as it gives the remaining members of Queen a platform to do their music for a new generation of fans. I really enjoy your reviews.

It was so cool seeing this done live when I saw them in September 1980. It's the last track on the album and my favorite one, there's other that got more airplay "Another One Bites the Dust" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" but this and "Sail Away Sweet Sister" are also pretty good too.
I've seen what are considered 3 of the best vocalists in rock in my lifetime. Freddie, Ann Wilson and Steve Perry. They all have their strengths.. but Freddie always had the audience in the palm of his hand no matter the size of the crowd.

  • @anne-mariesindruprix4792

Thank you for a good reaction. I have just seen a documentary called The making of the album "A night of the opera". - it's here on CZcams - with a little extra with Brian - and on appletv - where you can buy or rent it. It is with all four of them and the studio engineers and some radio folks - and producers. But it is made in later years so it is mainly Brian and Roger talking about their strengths and about the whole process. I enjoyed it very much - it emphasizes also the complexity of recording and composing - and shows how Freddie delivers - but not to that extent if there had not been a group called Queen.
