- We are often asked how to properly measure wrist size (or circumference). This is a very good measurement to be able to take, as it will help you choose the right sized bracelet. The trick is to measure right at the wristbone - and here, Jordan shows you some neat ways of doing just that - even if you don't have a tape measure!

Thanks for this! I've posted it on my online boutique since I get so many people asking how to measure their wrists/ankles, etc. Very useful!
Thank you, friend. I was unable to find a soft ruler and this solves the problem Great video
Excellent question.
For bangles, you need to measure the distance across your hand, at the front, by the knuckles, when that hand is balled into a fist, since bangles need to be "slipped on".
Hope that helps!
Not bangles. Simple Chain or link.
bro i would like everyone in the world to appriciate the fact that this video was realeased over 9 years ago, and just 3 years ago he was responding to comments LOL
...and we still are! Thank you for watching -- 9 years later! ;-)
Funny you should say that I'm NOT Tech-Savvy & Most times I don't remember to look @ the Date/Time Stamp, like today. 🤷♀️ I'm not going to Comment Jail Am I ⁉️..... Lol
What if I don’t have a paper, ruler or string
Lol, thank you showing us how to measure with a piece of paper, but I don't think the problem is whether or not we don't have a string or papers at home but whether or not we have a ruler at home.
+Manh Ly You're probably right about that! :-)
But now, no matter what, you'll be able to measure your wrist!
Thanks for watching!
its more likely you will have a tape measure in your house
haha
Very clear and straight to the point, thank you !
You're very welcome - glad you enjoyed the video!

@MisterBooKitty You're very welcome - glad you enjoyed it!
Can you go to a jewelry store and have them measure it for you?
Great explanation, Thank You
You're very welcome, glad you found it helpful! Hope you enjoy your Nike fuel band, that's a neat product!
Great video! Thank you for sharing.
Brilliant video !!! Very useful information !!!
@Rickchang1000 That's a pretty standard band size for men. Be sure to read the details on the particular watch that you're interested in, though, as sizes do vary greatly from product to product (even from retail store to retail store - what may be "small" in our collection, for example, could be a "medium" at store X).
Enjoy!
You're very welcome, glad you found it helpful!
thanks was helpful, was confused about wrist bangle size.
Just use a piece of paper???Never did I think of using such a simply brilliant method. Thanks for the vid!
This vid was sooo helpful! Thanks! Hopefully you can show me how to measure for rings and anklettes. :) Thanks so much for your help!
Thank you
@CrimsonJewel83 W're very happy to hear that you found the video to be helpful! Those are excellent suggestions for future videos -- look for them soon!
Glad you found the video helpful, thanks for watching!
@occultdestroyer Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for watching!
@Rickchang1000 We'd recommend going for a 7 1/2 inch long band in that case. 1/2 an inch extra is usually the perfect happy medium between too short and too long.
Hope that helps!
I have a 5 to 5 1/2 inch wrist size (yeah weirdly small since I'm like 5,6), I can never find bracelets that fit! Any advice?
For a cuff bracelet my wrist is 7 1/2 around. Do I take into account the cuff space where it ends
Yesplease what do you do with the bone to bonecmeasurement?
Thank you! was very helpful!
Thanks for watching, we're glad you found the video helpful!

Thanks! Great video to show my employees other ways to measure wrists for bracelets/watches.
thanks for the vid. needed this for the nike fuel band :)
I heard you are supposed te be able to slide one or two fingers between your wrist and the bracelet.
Is this a golden rule for any bracelet, or does this only apply to certain types of bracelets?
Very helpful vid! Thanks bruv!
I didn't have string and was to lazy to use paper so I used a pair of headphones instead of string, Worked great!
Thank you for your to the point video. I learned what I was looking for.
this works for watches too right?
Very useful video...... do you measure this way for a stretchy bracelet (ie beads on elastic) your comment would be appreciated. Many thanks Jill in UK
Yes, in all likelihood, that would be what they mean (assuming you are located in the United States).
When in doubt, though, it can't hurt to ask them to specify further.
Good luck!
D
thx
My wrist measures 6 inches so you advise order6.5 inches But next size up is 7 inches that would be too loose? Would 6 inch bracelet bu preferable as a good fit?
Hello,
If the bracelet you are interested in is a cuff-style bracelet, then a 7 inch should work, since you will be able to squeeze the bracelet to fit.
If it is a link-style bracelet, then I would advise against getting a 7 inch in your case, as that would likely be too loose. The 6 inch, on the other hand, might work, but it could be too constricting, so if it is a link-style bracelet, I would recommend finding a different style, as there are various that we offer in size 6 1/2 inches.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to email us if you have further questions.
Thanks for watching, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Nice video
I was such a fool...thanks for the tutorial
Nice baraka necklace
Amazing
How would you measure for a closed, solid bangle bracelet? The same as link?
Measure your watch with the clasp loose
So if I have a 7" wrist size would that be small, medium?
most ppl have a 7 inch wrist
We're very glad you found it helpful! Thanks so much for watching!
We have the same wrist 7 inch but your arm and hands looks bigger than mine I am skinny tho
How would you measure hour wrist for a very wide cuff? Is it the same? thx
Yes, that's generally the same. Thanks for watching!
I’m too poor for paper 😭
Absolutely, that'll work well, also! Thanks for watching.
Ur wrist look bigger than 7 inches..r u sure u have 7 inch wrists
Is this the video that flightreacts watched?
Instead of string I used my phone charger
I did it and I broke my wrist
BAZZ B... hands cant fall off and she broke her wrist it didnt fall off.

@@user-iz8yt4th3e It's called a joke, lmao.
@@toasterexe6062 I already got r/whooshed
@@user-iz8yt4th3e good for you, bud.
What a cutie pie!
didn't have a ruler so I used the rule of thumb
A 7" wrist is very much average, so that would typically indicate a size medium.
Correct mine was 71/2 so correct
hi there im actually 3D printing a Gauntlet but not so like medevil style but similar is actually for a prosthetic and im designing the forearm part so thats lower wrist to just about elbow .
my question is how would i determine the actual size i try doing a circular shape like a watch or bracelet with using a caliper for readings and i get the size but still looks circular and if i print this part like this is going to be circular not oval? like your wrist looks at a angle? any tips?
This video, Measuring for Rings & Bracelets is good, but, We need a demonstration video on how to measure the entire body. Should include,
Height
Head, for Wigs/ Hats
Neck
Shoulder to Shoulder
Arms, around the upper
area
Arm Length
Wrist ,both
Hands both
Fingers
Bust / Chest
Underbust
Stomach
Abdomen
Hips
Thigh, Around upper area
Calf
Ankle
Foot
Inseam.
Weight
Most measurement videos only show a few areas. The World needs a whole-body measurement video ✔
Or maybe ,just me....☺Lol
THank you to the person who pointed out that this video was made 10 yrs ago. I'm NOT Tech-Savvy, I forget to look at the Date/Time stamp.
I hope I'm NOT going to Comment Jail ⁉️.... Lol
Oh so handsome
How would I know what size of bracelet to get if the sizes show in mm?
You can use Google to convert from mm into inches. Simply search, for example, "12mm into inches" (you can replace the number with whatever the actual measurement is).
Hope that helps, and thank you for watching!
Went here to see if I have a punching advantage. Unfortunately I'm average @7"
2010 😲 You would now be like 100 years old 😂
