In my opinion, being a wwe fan since wwf/wcw, a heel turn is what is really needed here. It saved the Rock's career, Stone Cold, and even Cena. Randy Orton was booked as both a face and a heel but mostly won everyone over as a heel. Reigns had the crowd over when he was the big bad ass in The Shield. Make him into that bad ass and watch the outcome. And for goodness sake, let him cut his own promos.

I think it would have been cool if Paul Heyman turned on Brock and cost him the title. Roman could turn heel and start a faction called "The Roman Empire." I think he uses that catchphrase already, but it would make more sense if it were the name of his heel faction. He would be a perfect heel champion.

Kenny Omega vs Roman Reigns at wresltemania match i want to fucking see. I see their styles meshing well. Reigns had two of the best matches of his career with AJ Styles back in 2016 so if that is any indication, his matches with Omega could be just as incredible.
Exactly. Vince's Super Samoan Cena sucks because of his booking. NOT because of his wrestling skill. He's had countless great matches since 2016. Roman isn't a 'Ring General' like Styles, Omega, Rollins etc. And by that, I mean that Roman cannot lead in a match. But what he does VERY WELL is how he supports the other wrestler. The other wrestler leads, while Roman supports them to have brilliant matches. And no, he doesn't get ''carried'', there's a difference between being ''carried'' and ''supporting''. His mic skills suck shit, and his booking hasn't worked for the last 4 years. But he is very capable in the ring. Omega/Reigns or Nakamura/Reigns can EASILY put on a 4 star classic.
Those matches were good because AJ can make a broomstick look like a million bucks. Kenny could make Roman look like a million bucks too

I've been a wrestling fan for 14 years, watched most major promotions, and... I just don't like Roman's promos and wrestling, although he improved on the latest over the years since the Shield broke up.
It's just my opinion, my own tastes, and I know that I enjoy Omega's work and character much more in comparison. I rarely enjoy Roman's work and character.

Agreed. This is my first time actually watch him speak in any vein, and it seems utterly at odds with all the heat he generates. He seems clear-spoken, intelligent, and even respectful. This is a very strange disconnect.

Think how much of a bad ass heal Reigns could be, people already hate him, could get proper old school heat.
He really should stop talking about criticism and start doing something about it. I think he's got the ability to prove them wrong, but he became complacent. He is good at selling, getting better at talking, and the moves that he does look good, but you're never going to win over the crowd when you can't go beyond a 5 move of doom arsenal. (see:John Cena)

Yeah, I agree with you on Cena. I was referencing the fact that he was criticised for years about that. Then when he started trying new things he got respect, which is what Roman needs to do.
Roman was specifically asked about the criticism so of course he's going to talk about it. And he's not the Rock. He can't just go out and say whatever he wants and turn himself into a different character. He's receiving a lot of investment but he's still in a place where he can be replaced if he decides to complain about his booking. If you have a such problem with his presentation, go after the person that is actually deciding it.
Vince McMahon always booked his faces of the company like they have only 3 to 4 moveset...reason behind it is that he doesn't want his guy to be more physical and do some risky work in the Ring and get injured..

Manuel Ramos was the whole match that bad? Move wise it was lackluster but the whole of the match I liked. It made you question if it was real or not to an extent. It felt like a fight. And for that I enjoyed it. I don't like Roman but like i said I'm coming around

Being there live, we as a crowd bonded together and made sure that by no means will there be a "polarizing" crowd with half boos and half cheers... We knew if we shit on the match, something would have to give.. We do know that it may have ruined it for the few, but will help the many. Casualty of war... But we were pissed at the main event a year in advance and we were not going to allow Vince to try and make this match into a "let's go Roman, Roman sucks" match... Unlike most audience's, we demanded our money's worth and we would not be muted nor go unnoticed... You're welcome

In hindsight, this is such a cringy interview lmao after the match.
I can't remember the last time Roman had a bad match even though the Brock match was repetitive it wasn't bad if every match was flippy spots or followed the 5 step formula the product would be stale sometimes seeing two big dudes get into the ring and beat the tar out of each other is all that's required. The real problem isn't just booking either it's that the serious fans only want their guys to get over and don't think about long term booking Strowmans program with Roman launched his career to the next level and now Roman can do that for anyone he gets in the ring with. Another point he's an actor folks all of them are he doesn't decide what place he has on the card you can hate the business but hating a guy for doing his job is a bit like smashing your paint brushes because you don't like the color of your walls. Meh it is what it is. The good thing is a casual I can choose to watch what I want when I want and there's enough titles and talent in WWE now to make what I watch seem important.
