    I am lost medical parapatellar is used more often but is not good for the vascularity of the anterior part of the knee so why is it more common

    At 17:20 - "If you release the anterior part, it relaxes the gap in flexion and if you release the posterior part, it relaxes the gap in extension.
    At 25:40 - "Anterior part is tight in extension and the posterior part is tight in flexion. If the flexion is tight, you can selectively release the posterior part of the sMCL"
