I love Arcade! Still listen to it and get it stuck in my head to this day. I must say, I wish Duncan had kept his real name. Duncan de Moor sounds catchy, cool and unique. I think it would make him stand out more in world music. Duncan Laurence could be any random anglo guy. Embrace your Dutchness I say!

So sorry to hear about all the hatred that has come his way. As a side note, it's not just us copying the US. Unfortunately, rich extreme right-winged philanthropists have funded anti-gender ideology groups for decades and that's coming to fruition currently all over Europe. Groups from across the world do work together and copy each other's narratives. De Groene Amsterdammer has an article on this called De strijd tegen de ‘genderideologie’ (from 2021).
