Sounds like what we sometimes experience in a church when we can't even find the tabernacle at the front on the altar. It's either on the side, or in the back or in a separate room. "They have taken our Lord, and I know not where they put him". Lord help us. Lord save us. Amen.

You are so right! Great observation! I remember Mother Angelica saying: " How would you feel if you go and visit some one and they are living on the porch? Wouldn't it be strange? " That's how we feel when we visit the Lord's house and he's off to the side and ignored. It hurts my heart to see people chatting and carrying on after mass instead of being reverent and prayerful. Mother Angelica said if you want to chat, go outside! I believe this saddens our Lord greatly. People no longer believing in the real presence...đ

Run, run, run, don't walk to be forgiven by our Lord thru the priest. Many of us are in the same position. Especially now when access to confession is more difficult. You sound sorrowful for your sins, and have a contrite heart, now you need the sacrament of confession and healing of soul and mind and to do your penance and reparation for your sins. I've been to the cave in France where she spent her last years. This movement recently that claims she wasn't that bad a sinner steals from the glory of her incredible repentance.

@@prodigaldawtr7907 the Muslims were invading at one point so the Christian faithful there in Gaul hid her relics away with notes about her identity "the Magdalene". She had arrived in France via boat with Lazarus and Martha they helped convert people there. Later the tomb was rediscovered and the king of France made a pilgrimage there and walked barefoot up the mountain which we did as well. The cave at the top is where she lived and spent her last years on earth in penance and there's a relic in there you can reach in and touch, I did not touch it feeling myself unworthy to do so. Inside the cave is cold on the bare feet (which is strange as you're in the hot south of France). There's also the relic of her skull in the Cathedral nearby. It's odd, but the skull is incredibly beautiful, you can tell from a very beautiful woman with fine features. She was reknown for being one of the most beautiful women ever, after Our Lady. If you read Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich she speaks of her beauty and how her mother used to dress her up as a child and place her in a window for passers-by to see and admire her beauty, this led to her later sinful life. This same horrible thing is done today at Disney world where little girls can be a "disney princess" and made up in a window where passers by see, horrid!
I am sad i did not make Madelaine cookies this year in honor of the teardrops of our beautiful, repentant saint. Thinking of her tears gives me tears for my own past sinful life.

The Cathedral of the Madeleine in SLC is a beautiful cathedral with one of the worldâs best choir schools and organist!
@@catholicpeaces6543 Catholics and Mormons have a beautiful relationship in the state. They're belief system of course is at odds and Mormons were very openly opposed to the Catholic church, but with time and God's grace, things changed. Being raised in Utah has been a great blessing, I had to learn my faith to defend it, I learned not to take it for granted, I thank God for that! I do believe Saint Mary Magdalene will intercede greatly in this beautiful state!

The denial of sin is often worse than the actual sin. When we acknowledge and recognize the sin we committed, go to confession with a contrite heart, and do the penance, that's what is important. That's what is pleasing to God. đ

Her life history sounds very similar to that of St Ignatius. St Monica prayed for him for many years. when he was injured he was bedridden and read a few holy books devoted to the saints. He was so drawn to their holiness, that he was converted and turned or changed his life to serve God. He dedicated his life to serve the Lord. đđŻïž

Itâs so true father, because I just convert myself two years from now and now I am doing the best that I can not to sin no more and to love my life more in Christ I turned away from the music that I used to listen which was offending God with all of that sexual language provocative etc. I stoped hanging around on those places so called night clubs and bars or should I say Iâm dead now for the world but I am alive for the kingdom of God đđ but in the meanwhile most people they donât understand whatâs conversion đđą they keep saying well you used to do this and that specially when Iâm trying to correct them not because Iâm better then them I know Iâm still a sinner but my eyes now can see the truth and what is the truth? Well in my way of seeing is that when you start to love for the world you become like a pig in the mud and when you find Jesus he washes you all of that dirt from the mud that you used to live in so called world desires and pleasures etc. and now I have become a clean pig outside of that mud which I like to call ( the abysms of hell ) thatâs where I was living without realizing so my brothers and sisters donât ever look back but forward because the god that I believe Jesus Christ he renews and restores people from his grace donât let that pass because if you canât understand whatâs a new person then you donât really know who Jesus was and is. đ Jesus I trust in you â€ïžđ”đčđșđž

Me too. From what I understand, Mary of Magdala, hence Mary Magdalene, is not the sister of Martha and Lazarus. She is not the adulterous woman but the one possessed by seven demons. That's what I understand..... đ

Thank you for your comments,. We also learned in religion classes that one Mary (Lazarus sister) was from Bethany, the other Mary was from Magdala, and Jesus forgave her and saved her from being stoned.

Do not worry about the past unless.....you don't go to confession. A Catholic must go to sacrament of confession with a priest, to receive absolution, penance, and to do reparation. If one doesn't go to confession when the stain of mortal sin is on the soul, then be very worried ...+
