If you *google the word 'Blackamoor'* (which was the European name for a Moorish person ...which literally meant *'Black as a Moor'* you'll see how the Moors really looked)

The Legacy of Vicente Guerrero, Mexico's First Black Indian President published Dec 18, 2001, the late by Theodore G. Vincent
"Guerrero was born inTixtla, a town 100 kilometers inland from the port of Acapulco, in the Sierra Madre del Sur; his parents were María de Guadalupe Saldaña, of African descent and Pedro Guerrero, a Mestizo. Guerrero was tall and robust, and dark complected, and he was at times called El Negro."
You can also read La Población Negra de México by the late anthropologist and professor at the University of Vera Cruz in Mexico. BTW, I did not say he was African. Here is my quote, "the 2nd president of Mexico was of African descent". So, if you are using Mestizo as racially mixed, then, you are correct, "he was Mestizo and predominantly Native American" Being of African descent means that he also was descended from Africans as well as Europeans and Native Americans. We have people like this here in the United States. They are called Melungeon. President Abraham Lincoln was Melungeon. Somehow you saw the word "African" and took the word out of context. I don't even disagree with you. I just reiterate my stance.

The reason for the North African ancestry is the Spanish ancestry. Centuries ago Moors from North Africa conquered Spain and had significant impact on shaping Spanish culture - especially the Spanish language which has many Arabic and Arabic derived words, like "el" which comes from the Arabic "Al". So the North African ancestry basically hitched a ride through the Spanish ancestry because many or most Spaniards have some North African ancestry due to the Moors conquering them for some time before Spain came to the New World.

i think some people are confused about the African in some people’s DNA. While we know that all people came from Africa, DNA tests don’t go back that far. So when people get pleasantly surprised at those 1-5%s or more it means that it’s a closer relative, maybe 2-3 hundred years from this date. (Might be less or more)
Some DNA tests are able to trace a gene to a common ancestor from a very long time ago. And this is still far away from the time when we were all in Africa. I believe it’s called Hap gene or something.

valente Reyna: I don't want to contradict myself but I want to make clear that Everybody SHOULD have African blood.
I saw an Asian young lady's DNA video the other day and she got only two hits or whatever you call it. They were Chinese and Native American.
It baffled me because I would think that she would have an ounce of African in her blood somewhere but according to her, she only has Chinese and Native American.
The Native American comes from the Mongolian stock who were the ancestors of the Natives who came over into the new land crossing the Bering Straight some 13,000 to 23,000 years ago. So its understandable that she got the Native DNA through her Mongolian ancestors. However, she didn't read off any African results in her DNA which surprises me.
I am going to continue to look at different ethnic groups to see if the African DNA shows up in their results. Of the few white folks that I have looked at, they showed African DNA and everyone else that I looked at did too. However, I've only seen a tiny few different DNA videos from people who are non black. I happen to be black myself.

But of course in Europe (excluding England and colonies) and the rest of the world he received several high honors for his work, which is all the more relevant today, because a lot of his proof was destroyed or replaced by Nazi SS racial investigative groups set up by Himmler. Anthropology origins are rooted in bias, always has had links to Eugenics, the USA inspired the Nazi "racial hygiene" movement, in fact. Just because they haven’t been in a place for a while, doesn’t mean they can’t carry those traits. People with Japanese heritage in Mexico make up 2% of the population (maybe even 6% now), and even so, a grand majority of people in Mexico have those familiar and distinctive Asian features like fine straight hair, mono-lids and much more. Mexico is a melting pot itself, and though many of the different ethnicities that make up the population in Mexico haven’t recently been present, they can still be VISIBLY present in the faces of the people of today - thanks to genetics.

After the Aztecs established dominance over the others, the population of the empire were called "Mexica". Besides, there were many other ethnicities that still exist today, zapotecos, mixtecos, purépecha, mayas, etc. So, it's really inaccurate to say you descend from the Aztecs.
