What's weird is that Charla and Andrew are trying to scare and gaslight Wax back into a relationship he don't wanna be in. After watching Carla's version of their break up on the podcast, where I almost took the bait, I came back here to see Wax side (piecing together what little he said here and on a muzic talk podcast).... While I do think Wax had the outside affair/ kid that Charlamagne and Drew are alluding to by saying "stimulus" (which only makes sense after listening to Carla) ...I believe Wax is explaining when the relationship was over for HIM, which is after realizing that Carla was not being the traditional wife he wanted. Instead of leading with admitting he cheated, he is leading with what led up to the breakdown of their relationship. It is a typical man thing and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle b/c according to them both there was so much arguing and fighting and according to Carla she went to "PR" to take care of a sick grandmother and came back and found out that he was talking to the next girl. If you listen closely to her version, the idea that she was there alone as her grandma was dying, she said she came back with her ring on her finger, alluding to the fact that it was off. Yea, it just seems like the typical, grey area. She will say they were together, he cheated, and fathered a child b/c technically they were still married and he would likely say, he did not cheat because she was gone and the relationship was basically over before then. I would bet $100 on that.
Moving on, I am inclined to believe that Wax's version of why it did not work out. I also think he is, in Wax's nature, being kind about it actually. Andrew/Charlamagne are being ignorant about it. As he alluded to here and explicitly on Flagrant podcast Carla was not the kind of wife he wanted, which is a wife to take care of the home, take care of him, take care of the kids (hers, his, and theirs), and basically not be too out there (all things he has said on other podcasts). She wasn't the kind of wife he wanted. While she was doing the first two, she seemed to not be doing the other. Charlamagne and Andrew are being disingenuous, as they pointed out in every other episode before this, Carla & Wax were not a match. When she got with Wax, they could never understand how he bagged her and who would be attracted to him--based on what he said about his lifestyle and they also generally didn't think of him as smart. While he was in it, they made several references to how he changed, and how she wore the pants in the relationship. It is very very clear that Carla got more access to the industry through Wax, which he is kind of enough to not say. But consider this: Would she have gone to Andrew Schultz wedding, been with Joe Rogan, and all the other celebrities as she mentions in the Know for Sure podcasts without being attached to Wax? Possibly eventually, but we would have never known her in this same way. You have to listen to the interview to hear how much she revered that position. Throughout their relationship, as told in Brilliant Idiots, she forced that relationship. Shortly after getting together, what did Carla and Wax do? A podcast? What does Carla like to do? podcasts!!! She used him! She says he brought her into isolation in Jersey but also says she was not close with her family. What a story spin! Especially since moving was beneficial to her. She may have had a home and her stuff in Florida, but guess what, Brilliant Idiots and all her connections surely must have not been. She didn't leave her career in FL, it grew from connections in NY like when she met the Know for Sure girls at the 40/40 Clubs.
There's two sides to every story. Wax was such a natural, honest, and humble person. Whatever the truth is that happened between Carla or the Brilliant Idiots it will come to light. I do not think his hands are completely clean but I do feel like the narratives that put out are onesided.
Plus people gotta remember that this happened during the pandemic. Alot of relationships ended up like this humans were desperate and afraid.

Enjoy watching him, but anyone who has a child outside of marriage before putting a ring on someone's finger can miss me with "wanting tradition." "Tradition" went right out the window when it came to going raw into a woman who is not your wife. Wanting stay-at-home-wife benefits while not providing the family structure and security that traditionally goes with that is not you "wanting a traditional wife": that's you wanting to have your cake and eat it too. If he wanted a traditional wife, he should have sought a traditional woman from the beginning (I'm sure Wax knew his fiancee was a progressive/modern woman relatively early on). But a lot of traditional women tend to be conservative and have stricter standards/boundaries when it comes to intimacy, so a lot of men like Wax don't entertain them because they don't want to put in the work and discipline to obtain *and sustain* a relationship with a truly traditional woman. I'm not saying that wanting a non-traditional household is necessarily bad, but the way Wax operated contradicts what he claims to want. And it's obvious that Charlamagne and Andrew know that Wax stepped out of the relationship in some capacity, so he can also miss me with the "it's about respect" BS. Bffr.
I feel like if your partner diagnosesyou as a narcissist you need to go to a therapist immediately. I had an ex gaslight me into believing alot of things about myself im still trying to unravel.
