    It's irritating that they spent so much time on the nursery rhyme quiz and then they rushed the mystery guest.

    Panel: Soupy Sales, Dana Valery, Gene Shalit & Arlene Francis.

    I'm mostly use to watching the older black and white What's My Line but now looking at Arlene Frances her nose seems slimmer. Did she have a nose job ?

      I noticed that too. I would say so. She looks really pretty here.

    Too bad Larry Blyden would not be alive wen Jimmy Carter was elected President.

    • @Lisa-di1wi
      @Lisa-di1wi Před 5 lety +1

      Oh that's true. Larry Blyden was killed in a car crash in while he was on vacation in Morocco the next year (1975). What's My Line ended peoduction in December of 1974. There weren't enough stations signed on in order to renew it for another season. Even if they did, they would have had to find another host to take Larry Blyden's place.

    • @Lisa-di1wi
      @Lisa-di1wi Před 5 lety +2

      Oops! I meant to say that What's My Line ended production in December of 1974. Sorry about that.
      Larry Blyden was supposed to host a new game show on NBC called Showoffs. But when got killed in that car crash over there in Morocco, Bobby Van (Elaine Joyce's husband at the time) took his place instead. But unfortunately, it was cancelled after only six months.

    While this is entertaining, its lacks the precision and sharpness of the original What's My Line.
    Also Arlene is much more subdued. Soapy Sales I also cannot warm too.

    • @PREGO1966

      Not necessarily, in Daly's day they only allowed 2 or 3 minutes for the panel to guess. Of course, Fates' Law didn't exist then.
