i joined in around Yogpod 12, i think that was quite a while before SOI no?
the first series i saw from them was the survival island. i loved SoI, later I loved tekkit, but unfortunately all those days are gone.
I came in around 2009-2010 :) just because my friends got into mine craft and I wanted to see what it was all about :D heard most of the podcasts as they came out as well which is real cool. I have grown apart, but still have a soft spot for their content :)

People living in that street will long wonder why every day there are nerds turning up with photocamera's in their street, taking photo's of a seemingly random building, now that the old location is known XD
I never looked up what the building looked like from the outside

but DAMN I never expected it to look like that, I always thought it would be different!
Same here i also find it amazing how when i was younger i looked up to these guys so much but seeing this makes me realise they are just normal people

I've been watching the Yogscast for the past 9 years. Simon and Lewis were the first CZcams channel I ever watched (followed by Inthelittlewood). I've grown up watching all these different channels merge into one as everyone within the Yogs has changed as people over the years. And I hate getting all sappy and centimental, so therfore I will simply say: 1.0, you will be missed. You've held so much history of one of my favourite things. Seeya later, Shitlord.

YogTowers was perfectly camouflaged as a shitty apartment building... clever. VERY clever.
Indeed, a lot of people seemed to think Yogtowers meant top floor skyscraper or some nonsense, but it was really a basement. And they fooled everyone, for years!
This put me in such a nostalgic mood. mad to think I was 15 when I started watching your vidoes. life was so much simpler back then.

Nopad17 YT its similar to my office im a policeman but used to be a gamer/ video editor and i had 4 rooms the recording studio, the editing studio, the lounge and the kitchen however my office is in worcester and before you dicks think of robbing me and shit, i have cameras alarms and a licensed mp5 so back off

Well there definitely is. Just ran it a few more times and it seems Google uses a combination of photos over the years depending on where you drop the pin. Second time I tried he wasn't there and the photos were stamped 2017. Third time I tried I got him again, photos stamped 2015. Looks kind of like Sjin, although I don't recall him ever having a big ginger beard.

You can see that Turps is quite emotional as well about it so many memories and videos were made in those rooms beautiful moments. End of an era and start of a new one all things must come to an end but the yogscast are still going strong
It's hard for me to find words to express this, but I'll do my best ^^Six years ago, I was a sad pre-teen who had just moved across country.I had no friends, and no connection with anybody.I developed mild depression - Something I still struggle with.I discovered CZcams during this time.I stumbled, one day, upon Minecraft videos.Then, I stumbled upon Tekkit.Duncan is whom I started with, of the Yogscast. Soon after, Rythian. Blackrock, during this time, is what kept me going.Then I found out about Martyn. And Strippen. And Simon and Lewis. And so on, so forth.These last six years, as I've struggled through my junior high, and high school years, you guys have been what has kept me from ending it. I've matured, and became stronger, because i could always look forward to coming, and watching your recent uploads.I'm going to be headed to University this Fall, and I honestly have to say this.Thank you.I would not have made it this far without you guys.This move your making, is symbolic to me. It's you guys getting a better space, and getting a second chance at a fresh start for myself.So again, I thank you. If it weren't for you guys... I honestly don't know where I would be.Thank you.
Uni can be tough or eye-opening, depending on what cards your dealt. Sadly I was so stressed that I didn't regularly watch yog videos, but now that I've graduated I watch most of the main channel and hatfilms. Anywho gl with uni, if you live on campus and not an hour away like I did you're already going to have a much better time that I did lol

Thanks heaps @Turps for the YogTours! its been so amazing watching the Yogscast grow, i look forward to the future of Yogscast, that will be that every bit more enjoyable with the amazing humor that comes with the amazing people you guys have there. It's so great to be able to piece together all the Yog-ventures that have taken place at Yogtowers 1.0. You have finally answered a long asked question by a long watching fan, "Where the hell are these twats?". I dont think i can thank you or the Yogscast enough for the endless work that everyone has put in. I think i speak on behalf of all the Yog-fans and Yognaughts when i say, we are greatful :D

I remember listening to a Yogpod episode from way back where Simon and Lewis joked about having a 'Yogtower' office building some day, incredible how far they've come.
God I remember being 16 when Jaffa Factory came out, i had played Minecraft a bit by that time but Jaffa Factory was the thing that got me into Tekkit and then into the countless other modpacks ive played since then. In a way I think Jaffa Factory inspired a lot of the modpacks as a whole

First series I started watching was their SoI series when it started off as a Minecraft let's play only to turn it into an adventure. Good times, love you guys

yeah you know why the adress became known? they showed their building in some real life videos like the Ice bucket challenge, and since they stated they were like 200 meters from Cabot circus literally everyone could find the place on googlemaps if they just took a few minutes of exploring :P

I knew where the Yogtowers were for the past couple of years and I was always hoping to see someone from Yogscast when I would go to Cabot Circus (I did get to meet Ross, Troot, Sjin and I saw Simon and Martin from a far)... Really sad that I no longer will have that to look forward to!

During one of Sjin's pokemon go videos, he accidentally showed where yogtowers was, and I found it google maps. I've kept that link for a year now, and it is exciting to see I was right about where it was.
