“Heart” is a faculty that thinks/understands and is the seat of soul. In some of the most poetic verses of surah Al-Nur(Verse 35). Quran describes Soul as Light and heart as a Mirror. If the mirror is unclean due to horrible character, then the light from soul cannot be reflected thru the dusty mirror. Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) said:” I was not sent but to perfect human character”. So only way to clean the mirror of heart and allow the light of Allah to reflect is to improve one’s moral character via complete submission to Allah(one/indivisible) and worship is the ultimate expression of love.

I like this guy's response. I remember Sheykh Hamza Yusuf said that God created suffering in order to develop its compassionate consciousness. No suffering, no compassion. I always liked the rationality of Islam in surrendering to the unknowable nature of God, God has no form and no gender (the 'he' is linguistic, not literal) and is the creative force behind multidimensional reality. That's pretty cool.

", that being said, the struggle is a chapter of every aspect of life, growing require going through stages. If we put life in numbers you can't reach 100 without going through single and double digits first, a person can go all the way down until death is the only thing left and comeback to highest of highs, but they'll never know they can only after they've done it. I hope everything is ok in your life, but if it isn't trust me, your life can hold a lot of beautiful surprises if you live one day at a time, no matter what kind of struggle you're going through, everything can change, there's only one thing that can't be altered.. it's death!

I feel you, man. As far as our origin as a species goes, rational thought tends to point towards abiogenesis and evolution by natural selection, blind forces that are indifferent to our well-being.
But in moments of existential panic, that same terrifying feeling begins to quickly creep into the very forefront of my mind. Consciousness, sentience, is a joke. The darkest joke that has ever been played. Something is fucking with me, something is fucking with us..
The predicament that we’re in is horrifying either way, but obviously I’d much rather it be the former. And I think we have good reason to believe that it is the former (outside of the obvious incentive that we have to believe it to be the case. Because if we were being tortured by some all-powerful entity, this would render all of our attempts at improvement as futile).
I have a difficult time believing that such a powerful entity could be that fucking evil. The evils of humanity are really not much more than senseless suffering caused by recycled suffering, ignorance and folly. People who are content with their own existence have no desire to cause others purposeless suffering. In fact, the opposite is true, compassion is something that can be cultivated through training of the mind. So I don’t think an entity that advanced would jerk off to our misery for the sake of its amusement. It just doesn’t add up.

The physical world / universe exists, in large part, due to duality and the interaction and balance of these opposing / complementary forces. Light - Dark; North - South, Positive - Negative; Right - Wrong, On - Off, Yin - Yang, 1 - 0, Day - Night, Order - Disorder, Good - Evil, Up - Down, True - False, Hot - Cold, Wave - Particle, etc. is observed to be interwoven within the fabric of the "physical world/universe". Thus, the existence of Good would of necessity require the existence of Evil in the physical world / universe, and vice versa. Moreover, the scientifically confirmed property of duality in the physical world / universe would seem to indicate, through the inherent laws that govern it, the existence of a Prime Observer / Cause."
