    My late grandmother WAS a message of safety !
    For herself and radiating it to others!
    She had a saying :only calm can safe us!
    She became 96 years old, no surgeries, no accidents, no depression or anxiety, in good health !
    Although she went with 2 wars,became widow at 40,lost a child and grandchild.
    I see her love and calmness reflected in you Dan!

    Sometimes all we need is a medical professional to tell us we’re going to be ok. But when we have strange sensations they have no clue what we’re talking about, it creates fear that we will never feel better. Sometimes people need a “you’ll be ok in 10 weeks” response.

    Your reassurance always helps me Dan. I had an interesting win the other day. I felt an ocean of fear surface within me when I was meditating. The fear was around finances, and what happened to my symptoms? They spiked! I call this a win because it’s my first direct linkage with a particular fear activating the symptoms. Not fear of walking, standing or any other movement. My subconscious fears surfacing. Symptoms still high two days later but it’s TEMPORARY. I’ve stayed mostly calm and curious with moments of “freaking out less”. Love to all ❤

      @PainFreeYou  Před rokem +6

      Hey Craig: Any time people spell out their medical diagnosis I feel compelled to see if they have done the TMS assessments to see how your pain behaves. That is much more important than the medical label given a condition. Have you taken the pain test? YourPainTest.com What's your score? Sometimes it's possible to have structural abnormalities on imaging studies, but what is seen is often not the cause of the symptoms. It's well worth evaluating the symptoms to be sure.

    Your correct in that panic never helps, but what about people who are living in perpetually dangerous, unsafe living conditions, like living under a military occupation, war zones, perpetual survival situations, like homeless people sleeping on the street. People can learn to be calm in the moment, on the surface, but it takes enormous amounts of energy to do so. The body is always always on alert, listening for the next bomb to drop. Safety, or truly feeling safe, is kind of a luxury not everyone can access. I'm thinking about several homeless people in my town who experience severe chronic pain

    • @NicoleFitnessYouTube
      @NicoleFitnessYouTube Před 11 měsíci

      @@troutfisher7182 There are situations where safety may not be available - but those are situations where we need our fight/flight systems to be vigilant. Being in a war zone is dangerous - our survival system has to function properly in order to protect us. TMS is about experiencing chronic symptoms because of bad information - the absence of real danger.

    Hey Dan! Love your content. Encourages me daily! What might you say to this thought: panic/worry can *sometimes lead us to get the help we need. For example, if I have TMS and get a new pain and ignore it, what if it’s actually something? I’ve had this scenario happen which is why I’m asking. That instinctual “something is wrong” cant always be ignored, Can it? Id love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před 11 měsíci

      No - I never suggest we ignore anything. We evaluate if something seems significant and if yes, we get a medical evaluation to rule out anything life threatening. Then, we rule in TMS/PDP with assessments. www.PainFreeYou.com/start

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  Před rokem +1

      I don't have anyone who has taken the time to do a success story, but as mentioned in the video, the immune system and sometimes other bodily functions are suppressed when in fight or flight. This can allow symptoms like those you describe. I have gotten blocked oil glands which has cause a stye in my eye a few times. Warm compresses with massaging daily often resolves this challenge. Dry eyes and dry mouth can also resolve - thus proving the mindbody connection.

      I literally moved across the country to get away from a lot of family members that kept me in a constant state of panic and triggered me all the time. There was no working with it because I had tried. I had to accept that toxic is toxic… And truly after so much prayer, and counseling, I realized the best thing to do was to walk away. We have some contact with some of those family members now, but we make sure it stays very limited. It wasn’t good for me, or my marriage, or my children to be in close contact with these people. I realize not everybody can make that choice… But at the same time, it’s possible for most people if you’re willing to make the effort. I guess it also helps that I didn’t actually like the state that I lived in LOL
