- I Bought an Old Silver Coin Collection - Morgan Dollars, Walkers and MORE!
In this video, I will search through all the old Silver coins and other coins from the 2x2 Flip Storage Container I purchased from my Silver/Coin Dealer. I paid almost $1000 in total but he knows the things I like and said that a customer came in and just sold all of their coin collection to him.
I will be looking for key dates, semi key dates, upgrades, and of course and varieties within the years I hunt. I also will be assessing the value of the coins to see if I did good in buying this coin collection.
Hopefully you all enjoy this video! I know it's a bit long, but we had a lot to go through!

Thanks for the vid brother (: really enjoyed it!!!
I work at a coin shop and it's cool to have the opportunity to buy collections like this every day! Bought a small group today which included a (common, cleaned) 1882 $5 Liberty, but the cool thing about it was it was in a tiny, tattered leather case and it looked like it was in it for 100 years! Unfortunately we can't keep everything in what they come in, but very cool to see regardless
Nice, what state are you in if ya don't mind saying
MN
Nice little collection purchase good sir, I hope the ones you submit get high grades, and for the ones you sell, I know they will sell for strong prices.
That collection was sweet! Did you see the prices on those Walking Liberty half dollars? One had $350 on the back - I hope the person didn't pay $350 for it! And I agree with keeping the coins in the flips from 1967 (and it has nothing to do with 1967 being the best year ever). I bought some coins that were in flips from Sears Coin Shop and marked 1969 - and I didn't want to break the seal on them. Another great video!
Yeah those prices were marked as MS67…. I think they marked them as wishful thinking.
Now that was a fun hunt for us both .
NICE LOOKING COINS. HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL.
Man i love watching people buy stuff I can't afford
Man Brother nice pick-up. Even if they're not high value they get to continue their journey and who knows maybe 20 or 9 years from now the next person can have the same experience.😅
Great pickups!! Definitely some really nice BU examples!!!😎🇺🇸🦅👊💪
very nice Silver haul
Some beautiful coins - particularly some of the dimes really stood out. Always nice to pick up an old collection. I loved that 2x2 holder - it's actually a vintage slide tray from an Argus slide projector. Very cool - I wouldn't have thought of using something like that to store coins in flips!
I discovered that a Glad Wrap cellophane wrap box fits the coin holders perfectly too.
I knew it was a slide tray
my parents had the same thing
Awesome collection pickup. Like the paired Morgans.
Love those Nickels
Nice pickup! That's a very nice collection you got there.
Some great coins!! Kinda jealous.
Nice collection purchase Rob. Not sure if you are already aware of this but that sixty tray labeled Argus is actually a tray for a photograph slide projector. Argus was a photography company in Ann Arbor Michigan. And my dad currently has my grandpa's Argus slide projector with some old family photographs. So that is an old collection if it came with a tray like that. Very cool!
GOOD LUCK !!😊
That’s a nice pickup!!
A slide cartridge being used as a coin holder. That’s a first for me.
I use a nueget box.Perfect for 2×2 With a lid.Also a little-ton slab box with out the styrofoam insert.
That was fun, Rob! Thanks for letting us in on this purchase. Overall, really nice coins, especially the War Nickels and the Mercs! The Morgans in the cardboard flips are special just for the pricing on the outside of them...$2.75!...That's hilarious! Cheers!
Very interesting Rob, what an enjoyable view! Thanks as always for sharing and Happy Hunting! Stephen
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing! These and the PCGS videos are my fav besides the half dollar streams.
Some really nice coins Rob congrats on purchase
Looks like a great buy Rob, some nice coins, thanks for showing them off 😀🇺🇸
Very enjoyable video, Rob Nice job!
Everyone of those coins are very beautiful. Congratulations finding a collection to purchase. Nice video.
Awesome coin collection there thanks for sharing Rob
That '38 s dime is so nice I have to put my shades on! Beautiful! My prayers are with you.
The silver genie has definitely blessed you here Rob.
Awesome silver purchase..
Am I right to say ANY silver is great silver ?
You are correct
Always enjoy your shows !!
Very nice collection of beautiful silver. Great job and Hope you are feeling better.
This is really awesome! Great score and great video as always! Thanks for sharing bro! 👽🤙🏻
Wow love them!!!❤ Wish I had them!!!
Awesome video. Love collection buys.
Real cool collection Rob 👍 Nice variety of goodies 🤓
Very nice group of coins. Looks like some spots from the old pvc 2x2's.
Soo nice all of them wow !
Fun hunt!
That is a cool lot of coins, nice buy Rob👍
Nice, enjoy.
That is a really great pick up. Good luck with the grading.
Crushed the like button, excellent video and thank you so much for sharing!
That was fun to watch 😊 Beautiful Coins. Enjoyed your video, Thanks
Thank you Lori!
Rob, that was different and very fun! Loved it!
Thank you brother!
Your silver assortment videos are my favorite
Well done Rob!
I loved this video. 👏🏼
Nice pick up Rob i love it❤
Rob you should do a video and show all of your albums I think a lot of people would like
Was hoping you'd find a 50-D Jefferson and sneak it into your other book.
Beautiful coins!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀😀😀😀
Great collection!
Hi , I enjoy your videos, I’ve been in this hobby since 1967, a
the 42 P nickel looks
cleaned, not that difficult to get nicer , 38s , 44d mercs aren’t quite FB , I do like the 96 Morgan, that one I would slab
❤❤❤ amazing Rob 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Very cool
The 43 Walker to me is Uncirculated but as you mentioned likely around MS63, tops 64. Generally WLB start to get pricey (even common years) above MS66. For the San Fran strikes from the 1940's they are notorious for weak strike and can be mistaken for AU grade the Uncs. You went through them rather quickly and as one who collects them I would have to look at them. I think the top three you chose are definitely Uncs, the others need a closer look but the one you showed does look like a high AU.
IMO the mercury dimes are in the best condition. Fun video brother!
Get me this for Christmas
Nice collection pickup!
Thanks brother!
Am a recent Sub, and learning a lot while having fun. Good coin channel! 😉
Nice bunch of beautiful coins
Thank you brother and thank you for the Christmas gift as well! You made both Charlani and I's night the other night.
That was a cool video. I throughly enjoyed it. Did you do the math?
How do you think you made out dollar wise?
I will give $4 for them Morgan dollars in them flips😂😂😂😂😂😂 great video always
NIce pickup
Amazing collection!
Thank you!
I believe that the 1943 D is the only one that I need in MS Shape for my Dansco! The one I have in there now is a common condition Toasty one!
Yeah, that's a tough one to find in high grade.
💰 Money
Talks
Man I could take a bu of each of those dates rob
Me too!
Your "coin" box is actually a slide caddy for photographic slides. The Argus name give it away.
Ahhh... knew it was a little different. Never seen one like it before for coins but now I remember the old slide caddies!
Where do you buy the plastic sleeves that you put coins in?
Hey rob do you know around what the price of a 1955 bugs bunny in about xf condition is worth cause I have one and I couldn't find a price anywhere
A TIME CAPSULE IN AN OLD ARGUS SLIDE CASE!!!!!
Morgan flips starting to turn green from pvc. Take them asap.
This is quite a haul. Silver nickels are getting harder to find in circulation, so those AU/MS nickels you got will probably go up in value pretty quickly
I count a lot of money at work and actually found a nice 42 P silver nickel today!
@@slipi4648 my last job was cashiering and I only found two or three the whole time I worked there. I had better luck finding wheaties and Lewis and Clark nickels
I get to look through coins every day & can confirm this. I find buffalo nickels as often if not slightly more often than I find war nickels.
Cool pick up! I'm still confused on submitting to pcgs even after talking to them and watching your video.
What's your confusion?
@@williamfindspeople4341 the form. I want to submit more than 8 coins and use my vouchers. Then there's tallying it up on the bottom. This is my first ever pcgs submission and I want to be sure I fill the form out right.
So type two means silver? Theres so many varieties I'm unsure of especially for pennies the book i got has like 8 spots alone for the 82's . Theres others but cant remember off hand what they were.
Yes, for the Jefferson Nickels since Type 1 is Nickel and Type 2 is silver.
Dear Rob what’s BU mean? Is it grade lower than AU and better than Fine?
BU means brilliant uncirculated. Typically, it means no loss of original mint luster, no toning, and generally in the MS62-MS65 range. Gem BU means MS65 or better.
💥
howdy
I have found a 1990's dime not sure of the actual date last number is missing and the (In God We Trust) is missing the first apart of the second letter from the edge. Is this something I should keep?
First and second letters
😊
I'm always too late
Maybe not - BOOM! 💥
@@RobFindsTreasureI lied to myself
✌️
LOOKS LIKE ROB FOUND TREASURE!!!
hey Rob are you doing better
A little better every few days. Maybe 55% now...
@@RobFindsTreasurewell 55% of Rob is 100% better than 99% of half of CZcams 😎
🐨
ROB I HAVE A QUESTION DO YOU CAN YOU PRETTY MUCH GRADE AND PUT A VALUE ON COINS ? COULD I SEND YOU MY COINS TO GRADE !
When grading nickels it's a crap shoot. I think that you'll be disappointed.
I've got a lot of MS ones so I am familiar with them. The 42P is likely not a grader, but the others should be MS63's imo.
😅
WHAT???? NO BARBERS? HA. JUST SAYING.
