I was shocked when Arsenal let Xhaka go since his leadership was vital in going the distance against M.City last season. Now that I see Leverkusen doing well I can’t help but think this man is a huge asset to any team.
Leverkusen have won the Bundesliga and I think Xhaka is a big reason why. A lot of the young players spoke about how he was extremely friendly but also serious when needed. He was an important veteran presence for this young team and helped steady them when they faltered a little and helped teach a lot to the young players. Arsenal fans did him dirty.

People forget how good he was at Gladbach. Maybe it’s the coaching style or Bundesliga that brings out the best in him, or maybe Arsenal was the wrong club at the wrong time for him, but he is a complete midfielder in every sense of the word

Any player with 5 years experience at EPL will most definitely improve a german team, the pase of the game there is very slow as compared to EPL. It is actually ideal destination if anyone was playing for EPL team can easily adapt to Bundesliga The key factor is talent and ability to adapt
With Arsenal I think the issue there isn't related to poor investment but instead injuries. I think the plan this season was to have Partey, Rice and Ødegaard as the midfield 3 and have Havertz slowly adapted into the side playing against the smaller team. That didn't work out in the end due to Partey having the structural integrity of a digestive biscuit. Xhaka was incredible last season in a more attacking role, this year he seems to be Leverkusen's heartbeat

The biggest german sports newspaper (the Kicker) publish a ranking for every position for the Bundesliga every six months (With the tiers world class, international class, national class and most players are left out) and 3 Leverkusen players were called world class, 7 international class and 2 national class which means even a bench player was performing well enough to make the ranking.

There is a huge difference depending on clubs. Haalands goals are twice as impressive as Kanes since he did it with Dortmund and Xhaka s contribution is even bigger as Leverkusen was just coming back from a disastrous season and he is one of the keys of their succes, the midfield
