Sadly things did not work for india but overall they had great tournament.
Shoaib Malik's prediction came true ": ) Aus won and KL rahul played well.
The Aussies not only won the toss but the match which looked impossible at 47 for 3.
India was a bit more deserving but cricket is unpredictable which makes this game worth watching.

Neither Kuldeep nor Jadeja took any wickets in the match. So adding another spinner would not have helped. India's performance was not good in all the departments....batting, bowling and fielding. Today was just not our day. But I'm still proud of the way India played in the tournament. Australia were better than India today.

Someone once told me that Pat Cummins, like everyone else, comes to run in the nearby Park in the neighbourhood I stay in and keeps his head down. I live in the neighborhood next to his in Sydney. Usman Khawaja, just like anyone else, comes to practice at the nets in the same suburb. I believe humility takes you far. In contrast, I can’t imagine Indian players doing anything without some drama, such as blowing kisses towards the audience/actress wives or showing aggression. Aussies behave so professionally- well deserved! They played well in front the aggressive biased crowd - not easy!

@@G-Man01 ok India did do irresponsible stuff but stupid batting? That's an overstatement. Rohit played his usual game but bad shot selection from Gill and Iyer, Kohli and Rahul's duo has a good record against Australia tho. Should expect at least 1 century or a big innings from either of them
@@aaryasharma4940 I simply speak out of concern. But honestly Sharma was irresponsible and should have valued his wicket over the Powerplay. He could have created a situation where he made something like 70 or so at least and then started smashing. But getting out around 40 has put the lesser experienced batters under immense pressure. Australia is a team you cannot make mistakes against. In fact, I think it would have been wise to open with Iyer and Gill, Sharma and Kohli 3rd and 4th. You have to be unpredictable with them because they have nothing to lose and put together game plans much better than other countries do.
@@G-Man01 you can't experiment in the finals, if it was the group stage or semis then fine you can try smth like that. Rohit and Gill have been opening and they did great so far, can't expect a big innings from Rohit he's a guy who scores lots of runs in less balls to keep the SR and RR up, Gill and Iyer really disappointed today. Even Kohli did the same (kind of), bowlers will have to do heavy work today

I mean, im Australian born and have watched these people my whole life. They use a different form of strategy. India has been too predictable. The moment I knew India was in deep trouble was when Cummins called to field and Sharma was asked by the commentator what would he have chosen. Sharma said to bat, but his lip turned inward and he looked like he was either lying or he knew there was going to be trouble for them at that point. This is just a repeat of prior Australian performances against India. Nothing new now. Indian has been exposed. Once Sharma and Kohli are lost, all Australia need to do is take singles to win it. They can bat all the way down the Marshall who scored a double century in this tournament. Yesterday i said my heart was with India but i would bet on an Australian win for sure. Though i hope im wrong.
