Only thing missing is a spinner to take on the mantle from Kumble and Bhajji. I wouldn’t rate Kuldeep or Jadeja at that level. Of course the pace trio is something we all dreamt of growing up watching the Windies and Australian and Pakistanis.

The great Michael holding once said, Shami is a kind of bowler who can keep playing till 38 years of age just like Anderson, purely because of his brilliant rhythmic run up and smooth action. Bumrah will not have a long career, because his action is prone to injuries, he uses his upper body a lot and it will take a toll on his body. That’s why India needs to use Bumrah intelligently and extend his career. Anyways both are unbelievably good bowlers.

Actually Misbah was absolutely right about Bumrah that all the teams like to play Bumrah very carefully and looks to play his over with care and that's why whatever wickets he gets in starting he gets only because of his bowling and with other bowlers like Siraj and Shami batsman look to score run and in that process they loose wickets not saying that they aren't good or always get wickets by this method but mostly they get wickets when they have pressure from other end and they try to score and perish in that process

    • @sammy.fit31
      @sammy.fit31 Před 8 měsíci +9

@@Vedant-jq9cr first of all look at all the matches that bumrah has played till now and tell me why his economy rate is so low...i mean Shaheen is also doing the same but compared to Bumrah his economy rate is way up that's because most batsman play him with care and look to spend his over by getting single on that create pressure on batsman, on the other hand look at siraj and shami...not saying it happens everytime but saying it happens most of the times. When you play an over with only 1-2 run and then in next over you try to compensate for that and batsman do that and in that process they lose wickets. Look at the records shami doesn't get too many LBW, he mostly get bowled or catch out. Siraj didn't get wickets in starting matches because he didn't even have good length in starting matches and now no matter what if you don't Bowl on good length and line you won't get much wickets, siraj did get wickets when batsman tried to hit him. And this is the case with Shaheen also..you look at his carrier and when bowl is swinging he gets wickets in starting overs and but after that i mean in middle fase or death overs he get wickets due to run pressure on batsman because they try to hit.

West Indians were unparalleled; 29 unbeaten series from 1980 - 95 plus 2 WC's and several one day series. Possibly Aussies ticked all the boxes in the mid 90's until 2005 and 5 WC's. Both these teams had match winners and were MENTALLY STRONG.. they dominated and finished off any opponents. And both these teams had extreme pacers.

This does not appear to be a typical Indian bowling attack. Honestly. Remember the days when Javagal and Venkatesh got spanked by almost every batsman out there in the 90's. How could one associate this bowling with that of the 90's!? I am lost for words. This Indian bowling is terrorising, quite like the Pakistan bowling of the 90's. The added challenge for India which they've masterfully tackled, apart from boisterous crowd cheers and playing in home, is that every game is being played on a different venue. Chennai's pitch is so distinct and different from Pune. A proper display of dominance and professionalism. Good luck neighbors. Let's see if you can also ruthlessly conquer the mental barrier of not falling short on knockout games. Cheers!

What a performance by all the pacers!! We need to celebrate our pacers much more..Got to know that Shami has prepared a full fledged cricket ground with different kind of pitches in his village. He comes across as a simple and humble man with immense love for the game. Have a feeling that post retirement, he'll use the facility as a nursery to prepare future pacers. This can be certainly one of the best ways to give back to the game.
As cricket enthusiasts, we should also be cognizant of how much our star cricketers giving back to the game. The likes of Tendulkar, Dhoni, Virat, Rohit earns millions of dollars, plus ipl churns out multi millionaires every year. And we have franchises and BCCI, one of richest sporting body in the world. How much money they invest back into sports is the question we need to ask.
For e.g top cricketers can easily team up with corporate/brands to construct sports ground in remote villages - 50 such grounds in the 1st year and 20 per year onwards for the next 15-20 years. Government should also chip in. It's not possible for govt alone, there should be cooperative efforts.
Our cricket passion nation can truly emerge as top sports nation surpassing China, USA as those grounds will serve other sports as well and nurture talents from ground level...
So, what needs to be done on our side? As common citizens, most of us are engaged in our daily chores, earning livelihood and taking care of families. In this context, social media is a medium to be used. Unfortunately, as sm technology came, it got hijacked to propel hate but as it's maturing, people are relatively become more responsible and quality conversations are taking place.
Thus we can converse on these lines to ensure that our players, sports bodies etc. are more responsible and transparent rather becoming the mouthpiece of ruling party and propel petty things.
India is an immensely diverse country where cricket unites us like nothing. Our love for this game can really be a stepping stone for immense positive change. Conversation is first step towards change.... India since ancient times has proplled through conversation e.g. शास्त्रार्थ. Literary tradition from ancient to mediaeval India is a testimony of that. But to converse, what our tradition shows has to start from humility. So hopefully we'll be able to do that
    Postscript:
    1) this post was in context of India, but should be equally true for other countries of subcontinent that too are facing sectarian and linguistic chauvinism issues.
    2) if this post struck the chord with you and u too felt goosebumps while reading (as i did while typing), do share in ur feeds/pages/timelines as your own(no credit)

Tendulkar runs a cricket academy in Mumbai. It's justified as he grew up in the maidans of the city. What they do is select around 20 talented kids every year and provide full scholarship i.e. all expenses paid, including residential services. This group also includes girls. The children though I must say come from all over India. This support stays with them till start playing state level and start pursuing cricket professionally. Not all kids in a batch can make it to the higher levels but some surely do.

How could someone compare this bowling attack with 90s Bowling of India ( Jawagal Shrinath , Venkatesh Prasad ) . In 90s Indian bowlers were almost beaten by all teams . First time indian Bowlers overshadowed achievement the batsmans and Create a milestone particular MD Shami Should be credited for getting 45 wickets in 14 matches in world cup breaking the record of Great Zaheer Khan . Bumhara was unlucky with wickets. The kind of bowler bumrah is , he should have got few more wickets . He is totally a magician

I think Bumrah and Shami and Siraj are our heroes, 7 matches and we have taken 66 wickets, only two
Matches we got 8 wickets and 10 in the rest. Pace sets it up and spin wins it. 3 bowlers who can bowl upper 130-140+ and one seam bowler (Shami) and two swings+Seam bowler Siraj and Bumrah… this allows Batsman to play the way they do and spinners to do the way they do. Kuldeep spins and Jaddu has pace and length variation makes Indian bowling lethal. What a bowling unit, best bowling unit besides SA. Next 2 matches will tell us more about the knockouts.

Big fan of the show and love unbiased opinion of the panelists. This is how a cricket talk show should be. Our Indian media can learn a lot from here.
BTW the makeup and acting in the end was hilarious 😂

Guys great show ! Insightfull with great analysis, fun and very balanced. Far superior to other Indian and Pakistani cricket shows which are often very shrill and hyper partisan with very little meaning. Also love the fact that your panel experts take the trouble to explain technical concepts to the audience, like the difference between swing and seam bowling. I am from India and like most of my friends this is our go to show to follow this world cup.
Well done and a huge thank you to you and the panel for doing an outstanding job 👏

That guy who talked about tri-nation and quadrangular series, is spot on! Bilateral are literary the most boring nowadays, neither it help in development of cricket. Nations like Afghanistan, Netherlands, Nepal, Ireland etc etc will get so much exposure. And when there can be multi-nation series of associate nations, why not through one or two Test playing nation in the series, to make it fun.
