[4K] RAW Trail Footage - Overlanding the Ozarks in my Tacoma

- I thought I'd give you guys a raw, behind the scenes full length video of the Backwoods Adventure Mods promo shoot we released in early December. I love these types of videos because it slows things down a bit and you're able to see and hear the Ozarks in a much more special way. I hope you all enjoy this trail video. I really enjoyed editing this one.
* SPECIAL THANKS to Nathan Proctor (IG: @brownclaw52 @steadfast_visual) for the SICK shots. Wouldn't have been possible without him! Again, credits to Nathan for all of the film work. I did not film anything myself for this video. *

One of the coolest setups I’ve ever seen. Such great video quality. It takes so much time to do these shots and I think it’s under appreciated the kinda of videos you do! Welcome back!
Thanks so much! On this video, my buddy Nathan got all the killer shots, I just edited. Appreciate it!
Thank you for giving us this raw, high quality footage. This is 100x better than most overlanding videos with music overlayed.
Also, I have a Tacoma and love seeing Tacoma off-road videos. Keep them coming!!!
Really appreciate the feedback! I'd love to do more in this style.
I like the pizza cutter tires on the red Taco.
In the Ozarks you don't really need or want Really wide tires. Its mostly rocks and roots with some mud in between.
I had that size tire on my 13' taco years ago and they did really well on the trails in Colorado
Looks mostly stock too :D
What size and model tires are they on the red one?
Best one yet. Love the raw footage format.
Glad to hear it. I'm liking this style more and more myself
I don't like it, it's too washed out, details are harder to see and makes it look almost blurry cuz edges blend together.
Wow, you have really nailed it with this video, great aerial and ground footage, fanastic 4x4 trecking all whilst showcasing the details of the awsome truck you have bulit. You are a talented guy and can see these videos and truck builds leading to bigger projects like docos on pay tv. I miss the TJ, but love the Tacoma. Keep up the excellent work.
Thank you so much!! Props to my buddy Nathan for the shots. I just edited it. Thanks for the continued support!
these videos are always a vibe. thanks for the great cinematography and videos dude
Much appreciated!
Awesome man!!! Love the raw footy
Great video. Love the raw footage no music! Time to give into some peer pressure and do a spring meet up!!! Let's go viewers!!! Let him know you want it!!!!
Awesome set ups! Let get to Idaho and really put them to work. Great work guys!
Finally!!!
Great video man hope to see more
Great video my friend! Would love to see a more in depth look at your camping set up, tent, drawers, etc. The gear you can’t live without out on the trail. Your an inspiration!
Awesome vid, love it.
Thanks for the upload.
You guys nailed the color grading and sound design. Love it. Can't believe I only recently found your page.
Thanks so much!!
Hope you and yours had a Merry Christmas 🎄 and wishing you a happy new year. 🎊 keep up the good content.
Appreciate it! We definitely did, thanks so much!
Loved it. Great setup great scenery. Would love to see some film from the cab. See what you see.
Your setup is looking nice and organized. As always great vid. I see "Ned" is back to stay.
Looks awesome. Great job, Nathan!
I agree!
Thanks! Love how this channel is growing!
Awesome vid. No BS, just raw goodness.
👊🏼
That Front bumper is perfect in every way
Inspirational! I can't wait to get back out on the trails.
sorry to be off topic but does anybody know a tool to log back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Graham Javion instablaster ;)
@Jett Leon i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm.
Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Jett Leon It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass :D
@Graham Javion Glad I could help :D
Damn, I was just smiling the whole time :)
Hey man I have a Tundra and Live in the KC area. What's the best way to find trails like these so I can go exploring?? Thanks!
Great video. I really want to visit the Ozarks.
All the gear!
hello. what sizes of the wheels and tires on the red tacoma and how many inches lift on the front and back? thank and cool trucks
Beautiful scenery! I have to put AR on the bucket list. I’m following another channel by a couple from AR, and the scenery is always gorgeous.
Awesome!! Yes it's definitely beautiful.
Great video! Bought a sxs this year that I pull w my 2014 trd off-road w duratrac tires. What would you recommend I would need to enjoy some mild trails in the Taco? Have short bed w topper and factory front skid. Subscribed!
That’s a hella trail!
Очень красивая природа и классная поездка в горах, спасибо вам за ваши видео, супер!
Great footage. Would love to roll with you guys. Epic 🤘🏻
I wanna see more content like this!!!
What is a good beginner suspension and tire set up for a beginner in a Tacoma?
Great footage! I finished a 3-day run of the Trans-America Trail through Arkansas just before the New Year and had a blast! I'd like to come back through on my bike in the fall. The Ozarks are an incredible area.
I saw that you'll be up at MOORE Expo in February. I'm hoping to get up there myself. It'd be great to meet you and check out the rig!
-Marshall
Wow that's freaking awesome! Yep! I'll be at my booth with my rig!
Soooo glad you went Toyota!!!!!!
😎
That rail/drawer system for your Dometic is so cool. Wow.
Thanks!
I was thinking the same thing. Who makes it? AluCab?
@@henrikm4657 Correct.
Bro your taco looks amazing!!! I’m sure you don’t miss your Jeep at all 😂😂😂😂
🤷🏻♂️
Those pizza cutters are sick!
What's in the orange box on the roof?
i like this bro
Cool
how do you find the sports like this?????
What shell is on the tan Tacoma and where did you get it?
It's an ARE Classic shell. Came on the truck when I bought it
Merry Christmas and happy new Year from Sicily........
Wow thanks so much!!
who made that rear bumper? I saw it in one of your previous vids but forgot. I could use one for a JK, I like the tire carrier split opening.
Backwoods Adventure Mods. Check out my "Big News Part 2" video for more
Sweet advanture .... what size tires are on the sand color taco? Looks good
Thanks! 285 x 75 x 17. It’s a 34” tire.
What are the antennas that are mounted at your hoods?
They're the Midland Ghost antennas for our GMRS radios
Is there trails there for awd vehicles and that water looks so good i wanna do some fishing and camping.
Definitely!
Sick , I’d be the guy dropping a bed roll and sleep system and maybe a little tarp hooch
What size are the tires on the red taco?
255x85r16
이야 멋있어요~♡
Beautiful area and amazing trucks! I can't wait to do some overlanding in my new Taco. Question though, why did you have to winch? I thought the crawl control was epic on these things, or was it too much for that system to work? I'm a novice here with my first 4x4 truck, so I'm learning as much as possible before attempting anything like this. I've been on the Tacoma forums and Reddit subs too, so I've taken in quite a bit of info so far.
Where do I find thi g like hoodies, t shirts an wut not ?
Right here. www.longcreekoverland.com/shop/ark-offroad/6
At 7:07 that’s when crawl control comes in handy
Which river is this along?
Big Piney
👍
Great looking rigs! Really liked the video. What size tires on the tan taco?
285 75/r17 34" tire.
@@ArkansasOffroad Thanks for info. Appreciate it!
Your video is amazing!
I'm From Brazil
Thank you!
What state is this in
Bruh, it's in my channel name lol.
I heard that submerging your electronic 4wd sensor can mess it up, any one have any information on this?
I've had no issues and do deep water crossing pretty frequently.
One question. Was there a problem with your truck? While winchng up the sand hill you only had rear wheel drive.
No, not at all. I was intentionally in 2WD. I gassed it hoping to get stuck so we could do a demo shot using the winch. This video was for a promo shoot on this new bumper. Otherwise, I would have made it up no problem. Good catch!
@@ArkansasOffroad gotcha. Was wondering ha ha. Love the show. Thanks for keeping it coming.
Guys more likes it’s unfair to watch n not give a like to such cool content 👍🏽
Awesome trail. What's the clanking on the tan Taco over the big bumps at the beginning of the video, and in various other bumpy sections? That would drive me nutz if it were doing that on my truck. Oh, and great choice on the skinny tires on the red Taco.
Yeah it drove me nuts too lol. It was my D rings on the front bumper. Also was clanging on the rear too.
@@ArkansasOffroad I carry my D rings under the rear seat wrapped in a towel, and stored in a Ziplock. If you can get past the naked look of the bumper without them, and just put them on when actually needed, it might save you some annoyance. I hate unneccessary noises and will choose quiet over looks any day.
@@insaynbcr Totally agree and good tip! Since the video, I've put a thin strip of rubber on the bolt to eliminate the rattle because I like the look of them on the bumper, lol. They're a little stiff and don't sway on the bumper at all, but don't make any sound.
@@ArkansasOffroad That works!
Noob here. May i ask why you parked on your traction boards? Just to avoid sinking?
To level the truck, since the tent is on the truck.
Yep, exactly what MrThorgrimm said. Good question!
What part of arkansas are yall from? Just now finding this channel & currently building a 2019 Crosstrek. I'm located in Little Rock, normally stay around the Ouachita National Forrest. Great channel!
Nice! Thanks for the support! I'm in Pea Ridge, AR.
@@ArkansasOffroad Sweet! hope to cross paths one day!
@@xpellittletock Absolutely!
Looking for a secluded spot like this to take the family tomorrow. What's the trick. Just taking some of these off road trails and finding a spot that has already been developed? If my research is correct you can camp anywhere in the national forest ad long as ita off the public streets which all of these 4 wheeling trails are it seems like
Yep that's it! Just make sure you stay on MVUM trails. Those are legal offroad trails. Anything off of those are illegal to be on, even if it looks well worn. You could get a ticket. But you can camp anywhere. Forest service or online should have MVUM maps for you.
@@ArkansasOffroad I'm using the onx off road app. All those trails that are mapped out should be ok? I appreciate the reply and the info. Thank you👍
@@Santiago-vy8fy Correct!
This could be a toyota ad
How are you liking the taco compared to your old TJ?
I absolutely love it. I think I'll make a video discussing the differences, but overall very happy with my choice, especially as a daily driver.
@@ArkansasOffroad that's awesome to hear. Definitely a sweet rig you've got there. Looking forward to seeing more!
It's crazy on day a your jeep guy and then the next day you have a caterpillar on your face drinking craft beer.
Were y’all intentionally shooting dark? For a moody feel maybe? I’m digging it 🤟🏼
It was overcast the whole day, but yeah I guess so haha.
Looks like you guys had a fun trip. There were a lot of shots I wish he wasn’t so zoomed in. A wider shot would give us, the viewer a better idea of the terrain.
Definitely had fun! We were shooting a new promo for the Backwoods bumper release. So he focused mostly on the bumpers to highlight them. Otherwise he would have shot wider.
@@ArkansasOffroad ahh! That makes sense!
hadir boss,,salam dri kalimantan borneo indonesia
У нас в Крыму тоже красивая природа и классные горы, поеду на выходных тоже по катаюсь на своем джипе по горам.
🥺 no video today bro?
Sunday!!
Love the footage as shot! Not a fan of music or too much voiceover in much of the content out there these days.
You guys are brave not running rock rails.
I know...haha next on the list.
@@ArkansasOffroad white knuckle offroad. all daayyy
Hello my friend thats your new toy... where's the jeep
It's in Colorado. I sold it and am building a Tacoma.
@@ArkansasOffroad😃😀 excelent
I was getting anxious when the snorkel-less truck was getting deep into that water
Miss the Jeep content when I was a subscriber. Many of us just can’t get on board w/ the Asian truck. Just legit feedback; not hating.
Totally understand! But wouldn't have it any other way. Well, I guess in a perfect world where money didn't matter, I'd love to keep the Jeep, but just couldn't financially.
Camera's auto focusing sucks, and if it was manual... stick with auto, wayy too much aggressive zooming in and out, dizzying to look at, pick a zoom and stick with it, or do it slow and smooth. The colouring is too washed out, no contrast, is it RAW? Other than that, content and angles were great.
What's in the orange box on the roof?
It's a first aid kit on a quick release magnetic mount.
