Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

My first thought, honestly, was "She's ****ing crazy!" But hey, I'm not the one doing all that work. And i admit it, I think it looks amazing. Aesthetic - nailed! I would totally want to spend time in that room. Kudos to you for having the creativity AND the energy to manifest it. Meanwhile, I too must find creative solutions to my current book shelf problems. In a nutshell, I have run out of room for all the new books I've purchased during the pandemic.

First off, I think it is hilarious when people get angry at what other people do with their books. Second, I think it looks great. I especially like the idea of the open book. Very cool! This is definitely a welcoming library.

There is something so comforting and cozy about the way these shelves look. They're beautiful but also kind of matte in a way that is really inviting. Rainbow shelves are also beautiful but I feel like they are too overwhelming for me to live with.

i love masking paper, it works so well!! i used to use craft paper but it was just too thick and came out a bit messy.
now i use this same masking paper from walmart and i love it!!!

That's actually a pretty cool aesthetic...I want to get these cool mauve bookcases I found and wrap with lights/vines for different seasons. I have background tapestries to match for videos, too. Gives the room a nice atmosphere to write or read in.

they are mostly thrifted or from yard sales since those are the best way to find antique stuff. some of it is from the halloween decor at micheals lol

I'm glad I found this video. I probably wouldn't do the wrapping for all my books, but there are a few where the covers are just so ugly I kept thinking about doing dust jackets myself. This is a far easier solution than to design dust jackets myself (considering I know nothing about design.)
