What’s the movie about?
To avoid a jail sentence in the US, Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) is sent to live with his father in Japan, where he finds himself in trouble once again when he becomes a competitor in the world of drift racing.

- Round two and beats the bully and wins, and gets a girl he crush on

It’s a simple plot, but honestly… the formula works!!
This movie ages like fine wine. The more ludicrious Fast and Furious series becomes. The better Tokyo Drift becomes, it was way more down to earth, grounded and personal movie. Would be nice with a Tokyo Drift 2.

i love how Han is way better in drifting than Takashi, the difference is that he didn't want to hold the DK title or show off.
I mean, if you can lead a buster to beat "DK" at his own racetrack, your godly at drifting.
Morimoto's cry is the best moment. Sean manages to humiliate him with exactly the same way. This video moment as well as Morimoto's death crash, a few minutes before Han's death, lead us to the conclusion that Morimoto used to avoid drifting because drift made him lose his temper and be easily stressed.

No you got it wrong Sean is a good racer already he just needed to learn a new technique where as Morimoto is probably a skilled drifter but not a better racer all around.

Looking back at Sean's second race. I'm sure that when it started Morimoto let him take the lead, like the same with Takashi in their first. Though then Sean had no clue what he was doing and things were bound to go terribly wrong. I'm sure Morimoto underestimated him and his facial expression when tailing him before losing his shit atop of the garage (and DK's silent walk off)...priceless.

I mean your vastly overestimating The costs. But who cares if someone else thought you were cool. If you felt cool then that’s what matters. I’ll never forget the feel of my evo 8. Bought it off eBay for 13k rebuild title and needed a bunch of work. Took me 4 months to get it road ready. Man. That first time I lined up on a back road and finally hit boost. That feeling of your head being slammed into the headrest. I’ll never forget it. I miss that car
In the real world, hard work and dedication, sometimes it takes years to get to that point even on most builds and sometimes you can cut costs some by getting bargains and getting it done by yourself which helps take a BIG chunk off getting those parts alone and installation which installation from someone else usually drives it up much faster

It's remarkable when a movie gets better over time not because people figured out it was good to begin with-but that everything after it got progressively worse making it look good by comparison.
