  • If you are removing or replacing your bevel gear ( angle gear ) this video should help. The one I removed was extremely noisy because it ran low on fluid.

    Thanks for taking the time to get back to me. I have been looking at a lot of videos and reading about it, and I am video chronicling my progress. When I get it all figured out I will be posting my own vids on reddit. The 03 xc90 t6 is very different than the other volvo's. It has a chain drive attached to the angle gear and its packed in real tight, and no other videos out there

    • @matthewdodge42
      @matthewdodge42 Před 3 lety +1

      @@crespo8369 No. Never got it done. Because of the larger motor and twin turbo on this model, the angle gear will not fit out the bottom. The only way to do it is to yank the whole stack, or remove the whole subframe and drop the stack out the bottom. These models have a completely inferior transmission system, and are not worth rebuilding anyways. I will probably junk this vehicle. Pile of happy horseshit. Fucking Chinese Ford Volvo. Nothing like they used to be. Very disappointed and disillusioned with this piece of garbage.

      There are several seals between the two units. Depending on what fluid is leaking will identify the seal that is bad. ATF or gear oil. It’s harder to tell on manual gearbox vehicles.
