The first captain of this yacht was my father. I spent my childhood on this yacht. I even have my signature under the floors on this yacht. my old friend İMBROS .
A great place to grow up ⚓️
I don't know why anyone would choose a non-explorer super yacht when something like this offers all the same luxury as well as the capability to go anywhere
Like the filming of this great explorer boat,, along side the drawings of each deck. Very useful.
Many thanks!
Very impressive Explorer yacht. I would definitely travel the world in The Big Blue
Timeless design. No trendy glitz.
John, I've always thought a "T" style layout for navigation in the wheelhouse was much smarter than having a long line of controls and screens. With a "T" style layout you can have your screens in front of you and your most important controls at fingertips reach.
Come on Lotto!!! I've found my dream yacht. Beautiful.
Nice boat and nice tour. Thanks so much for showing us around.
Thanks for watching 🙌
A well designed family yacht with good light and excellent fit and finish. Off to Panama, Easter Island and French Polynesia.
Great as always brother! Keep up the good work 🫡🇬🇧⛴️
Thanks 🙌 I appreciate it 👍
Really enjoyed this tour. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 🙌🏻
This yacht checks ✔️ all the boxes. Don't know much about pricing of these yachts, but this seems like a good price.
Good Nz morning John. Thanks for the presentation. Just a couple of quick negatives. Firstly, the spa pool thingy not good. If it has a capacity of 5-10k litres....you immediately have a problem with 5-10,000kg weight sloshing around. Even with active stabilisers operating, there's always some movement, which is compounded every time the vessel moves.
Secondly, did I hear correctly you say the power plant is Volvo diesel. There was always a problem with with Volvo diesel as a marinised version. Great in trucks, not in vessels. UNLESS the original problem has been addressed. I DO love the vessel however. Thank you for your upload. All the very best mate from down under. In response to a comment/question you asked, a few months ago, the sailing vessel I referred to is 33metre (108ft) "Tigerlily of Cornwall." I believe it is still on the market. Your viewers/subscribers may be interested. I think, but not 100% sure, it can be located in Spain. Take care.
The pilot house is spacious enough. Very nice 👌
Indeed!
Absolutely gorgeous ship 🛳 I love it
really good Job showing it , very nice Yacht
Thank you very much!
Very nice boat. Great video
Thanks 👍
Nice boat thank you for the video I will call you when I hit the lottery
Sounds good 🙌 I will wait for your call 🫡
✔️😎 nice one John, I will let Dale have this one if his lottery comes in before mine. It's a tad too Med cruiser than a blue water explorer, my own personal thoughts of course. Cheers DougT
I would take her everywhere. No part of the world unexplored. And a classroom for my kids. Even better. Just have to win that pesky big lottery. Was 623 million last time.
🙌
👍👍 nice boat
It sure is!
Nice boat and good job.
Thanks 👍
Wow the only 2 things I would have done differently are the pilot house windows I would have wanted negative windows. And not had a classroom but I could use it as a office
Replace those Volvo with CAT's and you are golden. Beautiful boat.
Great narration. I appreciate that you properly call the vessel’s saloon a “saloon” and not a salon. A salon is for doing hair , but it sounds oh so POSH, especially for wannabes.
Thanks for that!
Wow, what an amazing yacht and just the right size 👏 I can only dream of owning it or having a trip on her 🙄🤣
Ditto :-) Thanks for watching
Nice boat.if this was mine I would go from Hoboken NJ to Australia.
🙌
I compleated 11 world cruises or parts thereof on the P & O vessel SS Canberra i think one more would be quite acceptable.
On a yacht such as this, can the engines be started/stopped and fully controlled from the pilot house, or do you require someone in the engine room to follow the pilot house commands? Cheers.
Beautiful boat. As I live in New Zealand, I would love to tour the rest of the3 Pacific which includes a life time's destinations. Did we miss a cabin? We saw the master, 2 twins and the VIP. That makes 8 guests. Either way, I love her.
The second twin single is more-or-less the same as the first 🙌 thanks for watching 🫡
Same,I would go to Antarctica first, then up to the islands.
I’ve more time behind than before me, and I always worry about technology failures. What happens when steerage-by-wire fails? Is there a place to manually control the rudder?
I'm not a fan of explorer yachts but this is very nice.
🙌
If this were my explorer yacht, I would go the Arctic, Antarctic, the far east, the Med, and everywhere else. However, I would need a 2000 count powered humidor and some serious indoor air scrubbers. I am however, *_not_* a qualified buyer.
Is this able to be made efficient I simply love these yachts?
Nicely done! I really enjoyed your video!
I'm actually looking for an explorer ship i can use to travel to the antarctic sea with 3 friends. 2 biologists and a photographer.
Sooo I need something robust and fast, so we can search for whales and also something with enough space to put a little laboratory in.
A more functional and less luxurious ship. But dang is it hard to find something!
Thanks for watching 🙌
@@fazzaz31 more like pick two next to each other, remove the interior and the wall. Or repurpose a relaxin area into a lab... possibilities and ideas are there. Just the labrats are holding me back cause they lack the vision
I’ve admired the Big Blue for some years now. However when you say ‘fill her up’ at the fuel dock and the bill is $75,000 to $100,000 and you get only 4,000nm range, that’s wasteful consumption imo. Big Blue would have been better off with one larger engine 1,000 to 1,200 hp driving a larger slower turning variable pitch propeller. The range would likely increase to 6,000nm or more. If Big Blue had this along with a get home wing engine, it would be perfect!
Eventually that knuckle crane WILL spring a leak and that is going to be a bloody mess. I've sailed with those things and they ALWAYS eventually spray hydraulic oil everywhere.
I would take it to Thailand, and make it my permanent hom
I would sail around the Horn, and bring back gold and spices.
What about the tender in the water, where is that stored?.
It is kept on a tow when moving from A to B 🫡
Thanks for saying "powder room" rather than the archaic and inappropriate "head"!!
They say this yacht will take you anywhere, yet we never see it go anywhere.
It will do in a pinch!😂
Is the tender shown in the sea included
negative
Ice rating?
It’s about as welcoming as an airport waiting room.
Straights of Magellan...must go.
My dream Super Yatch would be 'neyksubmarine'
