When Christine said Robyn is the favorite wife I screamed "FINALLY". Luckily, I didn't wake up my kid...but I was so glad to finally hear one of them admit what we have all seen since they lived in Utah.
It was a moment. Her swallowing as she said "the woman you love" was heart breaking. Ugh. The only thing making this bearable is knowing she moved to Utah and appears so much happier.

Me too. The light flipped on over Christine's head and also Christine's kids noticed he treated Robyn better and that can't be good for them.

Kody's attempt to turn his relationship with Christine to a duplicate of his marriage to Mary has failed. He won't have access to any of Christine's money like he does with Mary. Dollar signs are floating away, and he can't stand it.
It was a master class in actual gaslighting from Kody last night.
I thought other wives stayed out of their sister wives marriages. He should not have gone to her and she should have shut him down immediately, if that was the truth. Another lie exposed.

I don't know whether Robyn was genuine or not in this moment but I will say, what she said, was the very first time I ever actually agreed with something she said about what he ought to be doing when he has issues with a wife - But I do also agree, it isnt right to talk about his marriage with a wife to another wife - Just like how we see in previews how he speaks to wives in front of other wives
@@BrittanyM1985 I agree that this is one of the only times if not the only time I agreed with Robin. I think she meant it only because losing Christine loses their kingdom. Or he has to get another wife which she does not want to happen. She has seen how he treats the other three and she knows that’s her future if he loses Christine and has to get another wife.
I love how calm Christine is as she tells Kody to go hell. I could never be that calm. Kody would have gotten cursed out.

Kody was pressed about Christine getting a 'boyfriend'. Lol. And I loved every moment of it. lol
Do you remember when they were picking the additions on the house in Las Vegas and he asked Christine to cut back on her additions and give them to Meri? I kept waiting on Christine to tell him "Why would I want to be with someone who wasn't there when his daughter needed him most? Why would I want to be there with a man who didn't help when we came home after Ysabel had surgery?" He has this list of conditions Christine has to meet in order for him to be attracted to her, and yet he thinks he's allowed to act anyway he wants to without any repercussions. He wants everyone to love Robyn like he does and when they don't they are dead to him.
Robyn has bewitched Kody, however she lacks that power over the wives except for Mari.
I have a totally new level of respect for Aspyn. Towards the end of that pregnancy Christine was taking care of the kids and working and Aspyn was helping while Kody was courting Robyn. I don't understand why the other wives couldn't have pitched in or why Kody couldn't have said,"Hey,Robyn,why don't you bring the kids over and you can help watching Christine nad my kids while I get them ready for bed and tuck them in?" Maybe that would've gone a way to help Christine and Robyn to get to know one another and learn to get along but nope. Truthfully,no matter what happens Kody would've never given Christine what she wanted. She could've been nice to Robyn,Meri is,andi t wouldn't have been enough.
@@dawnclark4635 It made me wonder if those nights that Kody refused to just go downstairs to tuck his kids in at night were Meri's nights and she made a big deal about him not spending any amount of time on her nights with anyone else. Christine said Kody was in the same house so he had to be with either Janelle or Meri on those nights because he wasn't yet married to Robyn and Robyn never lived in the house anyway. I can't really see Janelle getting upset that he'd go tuck in the kids, but I CAN see Meri making a big deal about it.
Having been in relationship with someone somewhat like Kody, it’s probably because she doesn’t want her kids to be exposed to how he would respond about them. I wouldn’t discuss child related issues with my ex if my kids could potentially see.
Right?! Like Vegas is when I stopped feeling bad for her. Meri was given the same budget as everyone else and still went over and then fucking complained she was being treated unfairly because she only has one child. Like, no YOU are trying to be MORE important than everyone else because you were first wife. Stop fucking whining this has nothing to do with your infertility and quite frankly, I'm tired of hearing about infertility from women who are on the brink of or well into menopause. It's just fucking stupid. And when she brings it up now it's even worse. I get that it's hard and heartbreaking and painful, but that part of your life is over anyway...you keeps saying you've moved on and healed but you keep bringing it up every time your shitty husband is shitty. Christine not wanting any part of that mess makes PERFECT sense to me.
I couldn't get over the whole,"You're going to get a greedy man and he'll take my money." because didn't Robyn and Kody use that on Robyn's ex? They made him sound like a wife beater on tv and a deadbeat dad. They used that to get him to sign over his rights so Kody could adopt the kids and now Kody's afraid that Christine will find some greedy guy who's going to use her and Truly to get his money? If they had money wouldn't they have built on Coyote Pass already and Christine has not once mentioned finding another man. Even if she wants one at that point it wasn't about that. She wasnt leaving so she could find a new guy. She was leaving because she wanted to be near her other kids and her family in Utah. I also think that she had to leave. She had to take Truely. Kody and Christine's relationship was so toxic by that point that she needed to get somewhere so she could get prespective and heal from it. Truely did not need to watch her dad treat her mom like garbage and she sure doesn't need to watch him be this awesome dad to Robyn's kids and wonder why her dad doesn't love her as much as he loves them!

I remember a birthday party where Kody was gushing over the birthday girl (I think it was Ariella) and Truly was observing that spectacle with a downcast sad face. That wrenched my heart. In retrospect, I wonder if Kody was playing it up to show the other wives how he would treat "their" kids if they would shape up. Karma is creeping up on him and I cannot wait. I also was surprised to hear that Robin doesn't want him around much either. She broke the family apart now she and Meri can have his worthless butt.
Nikki hit the nail on the head. Kody made NO effort for Ysabel's surgery. It would be different if he even waited until she returned to Flagstaff to come over and stay a few days. That would have been effort. But none was given.
That Janelle’s adult kids were there for Ysabells surgery shows how she mothered and a Janelle and Christine were living it properly and Kody was not.
The house was in HER name and she sold it and took the cash LOL. You go girl.
And she sold her coyote pass property to his for ten dollars just to be disconnected from this mess
I wish that Christine would have sold the property for 100,000 or more! She didn't want to go to Arizona in the first place. Christine works, Robyn DOES NOT!!
I truly believe that Cody married Christine because her grandfather was the prophet of their particular sect and he thought that it would give him clout within the church
He admitted part of the reason here "married" Christine was to act as a buffer between Meri and Janelle.
He failed to consider that 4 marriages would be a lot more work, than one.
It was so sad when Christine was asking him if he wanted her to stay or why she should stay and he couldn't even give ONE reason! But also wouldn't tell her he didn't want her. Seemed like he was intentionally trying to humiliate her more
The only reason he wants her to stay is to get the money from TLC. It is no longer a show about polygamy. So why should it stay on the air I hope he and Robin loose everything Christine and Janelle will be ok on their own and Meri has a business I can’t understand what Meri is getting out of sticking around these two losers

Robyn said she wanted to live polygamy because she didn't want a full time husband. She liked having him gone some nights. (and no doubt she enjoys the benefits of the other wives working and contributing to the family pot) When she basically told him don't come running to me, go sleep on her couch, I laughed out loud
Kody being shocked that Christine packed up his stuff was hilarious. He really thinks he can do & say whatever he wants and they aren't supposed to have any negative response or action about it. You did a great job hitting all the points of why his behavior is appalling. Christine was a total class act in that conversation, speaking calmly, owning her own stuff and calling him out on his.
He thinks he can breakdown his wives,beat them down emotionally and leave them so broken they won't leave him. About a year ago I was dating a guy who was similiar and one day I was having a really bad panic attack so after he calmed me down he croached down in front of me and said,"You see? I'm the only one who loves you. You're a mess and I'm the only one who cares." That's what selfish,narssastic abusers do. They break you down so much that you start to believe them. In a way Covid was a blessing for Christine because,as she said, she learned she could do it without him.

A part of me wondered if Robyn’s advice to Kody encouraging him to stay at Christine’s house and sleep on the couch was out of fear that if the relationship with Christine failed that kody would find a new younger wife to replace Christine and Robyn would lose control and her “rank” as the favorite wife

Maybe but I really think that she really believes in plural marriage. So I think she wants her to stay because of that.
I truly believe that conversation with Kody and Robyn happened long after the fact and was completely staged. Robyn probably begged Kody to do it to help her save face with the audience. If Robyn truly supported Christine, she would have insisted that Kody go to the operation and she wouldn't have made that comment that Kody couldn't go to the surgery because her kids couldn't go two days without seeing Kody. Kody even made the comment that he had to promise Robyn he'd be back for Christmas before going to Janelle's mom's funeral.
PLUS, why the h*ll was Kody even talking to Robyn about what the boxes in the garage meant before he even talked to Christine about it? He makes this big deal about hearing that Christine has told another wife about wanting to leave, and how she should have talked only to him about it, but he can go talk to Robyn about what's going on with him and Christine?
I kinda think Kody thought that Christine would just fall in line with Meri and Janelle with the no intimacy part and was completely shocked when she called his bluff and just left instead. It's not what she was supposed to do as a controlled polygamist wife in their religion. She was supposed to just put up with whatever crumbs he so benevolently threw her way while he continued to do whatever the h*ll he wanted to do because in their religion the man is in charge of everything and is supposed to get everything he wants.
I was born and raised mormon. My ex husband is VERY much like Kody. He gaslighted, manipulated and controlled me and towards the end wanted nothing to do with me physically. For years I put up with it because I was supposed to. Until I saw how much it was negatively affecting my kids and that was when I knew I had to get out (much like Christine). Only my ex led a witch hunt and had me completely shunned by my family, my church, my neighbors and my friends. It's taken me a lot of years and I'm still working on reprogramming from all that mind control.
I'm soooooooooooo beyond thrilled Christine got out!

I also see the manipulation of Sobyn controlling how long she allows Kody to spend time in other houses. Sobyn puts impossible rules in place ( i believe she constructed them with the nanny) to the point of sanitizing mail etc. Yet..when Kody spends more than 2 days at Janelles who just randomly stops by??? Sobyn..why?? To remind Kody "hey..time to come home now...kids cant go without you this long"..even Janelle said it was out of the blue and weird.
The worst part for me was when Christine talked about working at night and asking Kody to put the kids to bed and he said no so their 10 year old had to do it that was gross.
Last night was the first time I heard that she also worked at night when they were in Utah. Not only did she have to take care of all the kids during the day, but work at night. That is just crazy!!! While Robyn gets a Nanny for 2 kids. Terrible!
And he wonders why his adult children think he is a jerk 😖😖😖😖

I believe he and Robyn are upset she’s leaving because it threatens his TLC income. Plus he’s set himself up as the standard bearer for polygamy and now we learn how deficient and misogynistic that belief system really is. I do remember the first seasons they seemed to be reasonably happy but shows how frail relationships of that type are.
Well also if they don't have 4 wives they don't make it into celestial kingdom, per their beliefs with fhe UAB.
Only 3 of the kids are minors, maybe 4. They could all each be in a less than 1600ft townhouse or apartment or home and be fine. Don’t need much money. The middle boys clearly didn’t get what some of the kids got for college. Maybe they can convert Robyns house? LOL

Kody just wanted to have his cake and eat it too. I'm glad Christine is smashing his face into it. She's a beautiful lady who deserves to be happy in Utah. Robyn should be worried if he finds a new wife she won't be so bright and shiny anymore.
First, your shirt is fantastic! Second, I wanted to go through my tv a few times. Christine helped raise Janelle and Mary’s kids because they both worked. Robyn never worked and didn’t need daily help. Even when help was offered she rejected it. It’s just crap storm of Kody idiotic nonsense. I follow Janelle and Christine on Instagram and it appears that Janelle is never with Kody and always with Christine.
I had a hard time watching this on Discovery +, without commercials it was 40 mins of emotional abuse. Then claiming that she can't legally take Truly, upset over a "user" getting "his" money. Lol that was the first honest thing he said, it's all about the money for him and guess what Kody, you aren't on the birth certificates. Plus his medical neglect of Ysabel. They started this show to show a positive light on polygamy, lol hope we all can agree this is the trainwreck we knew polygamy is.

If Kody was my dad I would change my last name & cut him off. He’s a lousy excuse for a father!!! He can’t go to his child’s medically necessary surgery but can go out of his way to find a plastic surgeon for Robin’s son Dayton (originally David, after his dad), the favoritism is obvious!
He medically neglected Truely too. He watched her when Christine went out of town the time of her kidney shutdown. He didn’t see that she wasn’t peeing or drinking for days. It was only after Christine came back that she took her to the hospital.
@@carolmiller848 You’re right, I almost forgot about that. He made the kids take care of Truely, Kody sucks when it comes to taking care of a sick kiddo. I personally would have been getting divorce papers ready while Truely was in the hospital, sadly it was more difficult for Christine due to nobody reminding her that she needed to put herself first until not long before she left him. I believe that it was her father that pointed that out, he probably wishes that he had never let Kody near Christine!
When Kody kept saying "Plenty of people live in marriages without intimacy."(or something like that), all I could think to say was, "Yeah! Meri and Jenelle!" And that's not a good comparison!

I think the channel without a crystal ball channel pulled up the paperwork and he is not on the birth certificate of a large majority of his kids, I think it was so the other wives could get food stamps,etc

Did anyone catch when Robyn said she felt uncomfortable with him going to Christine’s? Why? She admitted it had to do with control, but she just told him he needs to fix it. What is she afraid of? 🤨
I have a theory. She was actually afraid of Christine leaving because with Christine there Kody had someone to compare her to and since she was the favorite, Robyn would always be the person on top. If Christine leaves it’s just Kody and Robyn. Meri and Janelle are barely involved, so she is basically the only wife. No longer the favorite, so she may be concerned he will look for a new wife and find a new favorite.
I do think she was afraid Kody would fuck it up (he did) and Christine would leave. I agree with Nikki that I think Robyn does want polygamy with her as head favorite wife and if Christine leaves that unravels that for her. Robyn is a worrier (looking at the fear she enstills in her kids from WAY back) and a wife leaving upsets the apple cart and makes her worry. I also think losing the show and the money is a concern for her.
I agree Robyn is the only one who seems to want this completely anymore, I think she knows he's messing it up by doing nothing to fix anything or owning anything, and she knows the facade in their family is unravelling which in polygamy is a big deal, you don't want anyone to know you can't keep wives
He needs three at the time of his passing to get his own planet and this all to have been ‘worth’ it. A new wife would likely still be fertile. He stops once he knows the womb is done. Then he goes over to visit his minor kids or adult kids at his convenience how dare Mariah leave 2 days before quarantine over to go to Utah to do the bread and breakfast. He went over to the driveway to be FaceTimed with Robyn for nothing.

The train wreck is back! Hello Nikki & John...Kody basing ones attractiveness on getting along is a LIE. He wanted an Allred. A polygamy Princess is what he saw in Christine. The fact he says she didn't help Sobyn made me realize, everything is Sobyn. The beginning was TLC trying to make Sobyn look better. That scene was 1000% fake. I have to point out I never once saw Sobyn hold Truely or try to help or bring a meal to Christine. Too busy planning the big wedding and 2 week honeymoon.

I, thought this too. There was a point when he reached over the table and touched her arms after Christine had specifically told him not to , 'point his finger', at her😒 It made me feel very uncomfortable. Kody has a way of looking at the wives in a really nasty way when they disagree or 'displease', him. It's no wonder the wives in most of the seasons say nothing when Kody rants and raves...

It feels like once he thinks they betray him he punishes them by not showing the person any affection. Then tells them they need to figure a way to make him attracted to him again.
When polygamist wives leave, if they go to court over kids, the court/state comes after the father for support and that can include back child support from birth. Apparently there is no insurance on the kids because that was a problem when Truly had surgery. They don’t put them on insurance because they are not on the birth certificate.
How does Kody and Robyn reconcile they were not grown ups with her ex husband and him being able to parent his children. They moved yet another state away in Vegas and still as far with AZ. He brought her down by saying only money would bring a man to her other than him. He is so abusive.
Kody is afraid that all the money-generating members of the family will leave and he will actually have to support the legal wife (who doesn't work) and their kids.

I’m in Arizona they were never legally married. Christine can take Truly if she wants to. Kody would have to take her to court to try and stop it. He would never do that because he’s not on the birth certificate snd they would allocate child support to him. This is why Christine had no issues leaving.

i think that when kody said i felt like i had to marry christine it was because of her bloodline in the church he probably felt like having a allred in his family brought prestige
I think Kody was worried about paying child support for Truely. I also think he was worried about Christine's money coming out of the pot.
What perfect bookends for a failed marriage: he wasn’t attracted to her from the start and married her because he felt like he had to and his final thought was that he’s afraid she’s going to find a guy who goes after “his” money 💰 So happy she’s moved on! I find it interesting that the actions show a reality of hypocrisy going on. Sobyn says she was in a polygamist marriage for close to a decade yet they remained monogamous. So they never found a suitable 2nd wife? Mabie Sobyn never really wanted another wife. Than she claims joy at joining the browns and those marriages break down and now she has a monogamous marriage.. hymm. Last..they agreed to not talk about each others marriages with each other and who does he say he wants to go speak to about his marriage with Christine? And last..the ONLY one who tried to forge a relationship with Sobyn above her insecurities is Christine. She wanted to watch Sobyns kids. She offered many times. Christine made the effort to go to Sobyns and have a sit down and apologised to her for her jealousy and how to go forward. When did Sobyn ever really try to nurture and cultivate a relationship with Christine or Janelle for that matter? So who should Kody have an issue with really? Not Christine..but the real saboteur..Sobyn.
And did we ever see Robyn even trying to bond with Christine's kids? Even in the beginning she takes the kids just after Christine gives birth and says that she's taking them to be watched when one of them asks why they are going over there. She didn't say she wanted to spend time with them or get to know them. Nope! She let them know right off that watching them was a chore. How was Robyn a good sister wife to Christine?
Christine did WAY more to try and make them all feel included and was always trying with her relationship with Robyn.

What got to me about the spinal surgery was not so much that he was there in NY, but he wasn't there when they got back. If he wanted to show how much he cared, he should have been there to help with meds , getting groceries, cleaning, giving Truly attention because she must have been scared too.

You are so right, Christine offered to help with Robin's kids, but Robin didn't want her to. The real reason Kody has issue with Christine leaving is because she’s taking her money with her. His true colors came out when he made her promise that she wouldn’t share “his” money with a gold digging new boyfriend. THEN once she agreed to it….. he was ok with the split. This is Aaaaallllll about money 💰. And I think that’s why Robyn encouraged him to try to fix it, because the others wives income siphons down to her and her million dollar home. I think Robyn wants other wives as long as she’s the favorite and it benefits her and her kids.

Two things I noticed but I don't think you mentioned: It sounds like we've thought they haven't had sex in many (maybe MANY) years, but they do maybe have it twice a year? That's still well within the threshold for qualifying as a "sexless marriage" which is ten times a year or less. The big shock to me was when Christine said she was working nights when the kids were little?! I always thought she got to stay home and be the caretaker, but she also had to go work at night?? What the heck?
As someone who is watching a ton of Sister Wives content, I would definitely not say that you're "too nice" as much as that there are other reviewers who have more of a shock jock vibe and really seem to relish trashing Kody, Robyn, and Meri. You guys are certainly critical of them but much more balanced and fair in your criticisms which is appreciated. Keep up the great work!

I don’t think Kody’s name is on Christine’s kids’ birth certificates. Plural families often didn’t include the father’s name so they could take advantage of the welfare system. If this is the case, Kody has no rights where Truly is concerned.
