Oh yay, i’m so happy you’re reacting to Chris Stapleton. I am a huge, Queen and Freddie Mercury fan, but Chris is my favorite contemporary artist. He is so amazingly talented. @@PlutoPlease i’m so excited that you loved him! I also love how much he highlights and supports his band members. I can’t wait for you to react with him singing with his wife Morgane. Another one I forgot to name that he sings with his wife and Leslie Jordan is “Farther Along”. It brings so much joy to my heart. Leslie passed away, not too long after they filmed the video. The song is a church hymnal that leslie used to sing as a kid. It’s the sweetest thing.
By the way, Chris was a songwriter for years before he started singing. He has 8 Grammys. His wife urged him to start singing about a decade ago. It’s been said that he had had bad stage fright, she who is also a singer and songwriter, urged him to start singing publicly.

Oh, and he did a phenomenal performance of the national anthem at the 2023 Super Bowl. I highly recommend that you watch and/or react to it.
Chris was a very successful songwriter for 10 years before he started singing solo. During that time he also sang with The Steeldrivers (Bluegrass) & with The Jompson Brothers (Southern Rock). Tennessee Whiskey was his first big hit. That's ironic because it's a cover, not his. The people he introduced: JT Cure on bass & Derek Mixon on drums are his basic band & they've been with him for about 2 decades by now; Dave Cobb is his producer & likes performing with the band; Mickey Raphael is amazing on harmonica &, as Chris said, has played with Willy Nelson for about 50 years now. In most of his performances you will also see/hear his wife Morgane (pron. Morgan) singing backup. She's a talented singer/songwriter in her own right.

I'm a country music fan from way back in the day with my Pop-Pop introducing me to Johnny Cash, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Lorretta Lynn, Staler Brothers.. all Dead now.. but Chris keeps country true to me.. it's not the same as the old ones but.. dang.. great music

When doing Chris, you should always do live. He is spectacular. The only exception is "fire aways". When you react to "fire away" please do the official video ... favorite live performances is "cold" I believe it is at the CMAs , "White Horse" ...

I think Chris is his own genre for sure! Check out him with Justin Timberlake on live video Say Something. Or live Cold at CMAs or live I Was Wrong, or Sometimes I Cry. A voice for the ages.

He has a lot of music. I would say, there are 2 that a Chris Stapleton fan has to hear. Both are live versions, "I was Wrong" and the other is "cold" I would advise to do both of them live, because he is to good live to listen to him any other way.
