There's a slight difference in the eyebrows. Also, I don't know if it's only the paint application but the older one seems to have a little difference in the mouth too. Like it has that expression of scolding someone before killing them. XD

Top 3 figures of last year. Absolutely stunning and a great all round package. Have the grey suit one just shipped and have that/ plus this to go together either side of a godfather sculpted poster. Can't wait. Hope daftoys do scarface next.

The first headsculpt is what I'll go with. Both are great. I love that base and I'm happy that it's big enough to fit the table accessories or chair. I was concerned about that. The Godfather is one of my top 5 movie franchises. So thanks again for doing this review. I'm really grateful for it

Thank you for another elite review! The Godfather is one of my favorite movies. I preordered it months ago but was very nervous since I am not familiar with Damtoys and worried it would fall short of the preview pics. Funny, I only just realized it came with 2 head sculpts but I easily prefer the first one. As for the cat, it was not meant to be part of the scene but it wandered onto the studio’s movie set and Brando took it in. Thanks again and I can’t wait to get it. This figure seemed to roll out sooner than expected.

Man, to date, I’ve only collected comic inspired figures but I’ll have to reconsider and start buying movie inspired figures as well. Love this and would love to see a Michael Corleone figure as well. This figure certainly is “classy”!

I missed the HT. I’m glad I was able to get this one. He is outstanding figure! 1000% agree. I just want to let you know that the side table isn’t plastic. It’s real wood! My came with the legs base loose from the top and I noticed it’s actually real wood and I used wood glue to put it back together. Awesome 😎 review bro!

Just got this figure your myself, I agree getting him to sit is a little annoying but once he's there he stays, also thanks for the recommendation for removing that neck joint, it was driving me crazy!

Justin, I love the fact that you watched the movie before doing the review. Obviously it’s not mandatory, but it gives some “substance” to talk about the figure (besides, seeing a classic masterpiece is always good for our culture heheheh).
Hey, the second Godfather is as good as the first, if not better (if it’s even possible 😅).
Btw: I think the cat is supposed to be on Vito’s lap, to simulate the scene he is talking to the guy in the beginning (?) of the film...

Wow, wow, wow. That is one magnificent figure. Definitely am going to get one. Best way to pose is in the chair, with the table and accessories plus have Don Corlione petting his cat. Glad you watched The Godfather. Hope you didn't watch the 3rd film, it's not good.

Looks good for a 1/6. I bought the Damtoys 1/3 statue as its overall more accurate. With that said I'm really curious to see the golden years version as you don't see a lot of Godfather products where Vito isn't wearing the tux. As for the head sculpts, both are great. I think k the second (younger) one looks better on this figure while the other one looks better on the golden years version.

Awesome review Justin. It would be great if this figure could be compared with the Hot Toys Vito Corleone that came out many years ago. Maybe you can do an appearance on Robseravation's "Fully Articulated" and compare your Damtoys Vito Corleone to Robert-Meyer Burnette's Hot Toys Vito Corleone? I know you're both in two different countries, but maybe you two can do a split-screen comparison. Anyway, just a thought. Take care.

I like the accessory head better than the original one, or in other words, the head that looks a little younger reminds me more of Marlon Brando. I have seen it in person and I have it and I have put it on instead of the one that came with it.

The suit it’s shorter than the prototype figure, really bothers me how it looks, too narrow pants and not long enough, same for the vest. It’s a shame, the prototype looks amazing. Any suggestions to fix this problems?

I have got the Hot Toys one and I must admit Hot Toys one is far away better than this, althouugh being released more than 12 years ago. The box was more evocative as well even if there was no DX treatment. It came with less accessories of course but the sculpt remains the best I have ever seen.
I have seen that one in person many times and the paint applications on this one are far superior.
