  • „All this energy that I had mustered was forced into my workouts. That truly helped to bring out the explosive intensity and brutality of my training. It wasn’t pretty, but it worked.
It was about ‘Blood & Guts’ effort, controlling this aggression that I had. It was me vs the weights and there was only ever gonna be one winner! I did lift heavy weights, but under strict form and control.
There comes a time in your set, when you think you’ve reached the end, but deep down you know that you can continue for another 2 reps… these are the ones that count!
This is a place you go to mentally to force yourself to push these reps out.” - Dorian Yates, 6x Mr. Olympia

I'm 57, 6'4", 265, I'm up to 75 push ups a set, several times a day with my work outs and I've been believing in Dorian since I was 12. His massive size? Well we all know. But anyway still loving ya bro. Whenever people talk fitness too me? I start off my very first words with " Dorian Yates is right, and was never worng". 💪 🏋‍♂️

I have noticed that both you and Mike Mentzer bench press with a horizontal palm rather than vertically chicken choking the bar like i have been doing for the last 30 years. Can i assume that the horizontal hold allows for more weight? I switched to the horizontal palm to experiment and found that it 'seemed' to work a whole different set of unworked muscle in the arm and chest.

Blood, sweat and tears - this is what is all about. Funny to see 99% of today's gym goers not going even close to failure because training to failure is the mystical scary beast that is waiting in the dark to jump on your back and make you overtrained 😅
More and more "coaches" are selling the RP BS for the people who want gains but don't actually are willing to do the ugly hard work required for achieving the goal.
Those trainers are often unsuccessful bodybuilders who got pro cards with monumental effort and overdose of drugs never able to have meaningful careers in the sport because success require hard work.

All the motivation you can receive otherwise motivation won’t help you look for discipline. 😂

He does admit using, but you have to work to get the end result. Ive never taken steroids but i respect people who admit it and the dedication and hard work and its an individuals choice, good luck to them. Unfortunately too much abuse is a major problem more than ever.

@@bellslinki If you take steroids there is absolutely no need for hard work unless you are a professional body builder. There is a study that proved that even the test group that did not train but took 600mg TsT/ week for 6 weeks gained thrice the muscle and strength that of the group that trained hard but remained natural. That is the main reason GEN 7 is obsessed with taking steroids instead of hard work with a slow progress.

'All about steroids' LMAO. That is only ever said by the fool who knows nothing about everything. You could take all the steroids ever invented and you would still look like shit my guy. Show some respect.
